Definitions
- the present invention relates to a marker lamp mounted on a vehicle.
- a sign lamp called a tail lamp or a stop lamp is mounted for the purpose of avoiding a rear-end collision of the following vehicle (for example, see Patent Document 1).
- the tail lamp is turned on when driving at night.
- the stop lamp is turned on when the brake is operated.
- a configuration is also known that functions as a stop lamp by increasing the luminous intensity of the tail lamp in conjunction with the brake operation.
- beacon lights are red when the light source is turned on.
- the wavelength dependence of color vision varies from person to person, even the same red color may appear differently from person to person. That is, even if the color is good for one person, the color is not always good for another person.
- an object of the present invention is to provide a technique that can meet various needs related to the color development of a marker lamp.
- one aspect of the present invention is a sign lamp mounted on a vehicle,
- a light source unit including at least one semiconductor light emitting element;
- the light source unit includes a first light emitting unit that emits red light in a first wavelength band, and a second light emitting unit that emits red light in a second wavelength band different from the first wavelength band.
- the first wavelength band may include a wavelength of 620 nm or more, and the second wavelength band may include a wavelength of less than 620 nm.
- Red light including a wavelength of 620 nm or more emitted from the first light emitting unit is recognized as a deeper red color.
- the wavelength is difficult to be recognized by a person with weak color (red blindness). Therefore, it may be difficult for a person with weak color (red blindness) to visually recognize the lighting of the first light emitting unit.
- a normal color vision person recognizes a plurality of types of light emitting units that emit light in different shades. Therefore, it is possible to achieve both safety and ensuring the diversity of light emission modes for persons with various color visions.
- the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit may be configured to form a predetermined geometric pattern.
- the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit may be arranged based on a predetermined repetition rule.
- the semiconductor light emitting element may be an organic EL element.
- FIG. 1A is a perspective view schematically showing the rear part of the vehicle 1.
- An indicator lamp 3 according to an embodiment is mounted on a back door 2 that opens and closes a passenger compartment space at the rear of the vehicle.
- the marker lamp 3 is configured to serve as both a tail lamp and a stop lamp. That is, the marker lamp 3 is lit in conjunction with the headlamp during night driving or in bad weather, and is configured to emit light with a higher luminous intensity when the brake is operated.
- FIG. 1 is a horizontal sectional view schematically showing the configuration of the marker lamp 3.
- the marker lamp 3 is provided with a translucent cover 5 in a housing 4 to define a lamp chamber 6.
- the housing 4 is made of resin, for example.
- the translucent cover 5 is made of resin, for example.
- a light source unit 7 is accommodated in the lamp chamber 6.
- the light source unit 7 contains an organic EL element 10. The light emitted from the organic EL element 10 is visually recognized behind the vehicle 1 through the translucent cover 5.
- FIG. 2A is a front view schematically showing the configuration of the organic EL element 10.
- FIG. 2B is a longitudinal sectional view taken along line IIB-IIB in FIG.
- the organic EL element 10 includes a substrate 11, a first light emitting unit 12a, a second light emitting unit 12b, a positive electrode 13, a negative electrode 14, and an insulating member 15.
- illustration of the positive electrode 13 and the negative electrode 14 is omitted.
- the first light emitting unit 12a is configured to emit red light having a wavelength of 620 nm or more when a voltage is applied.
- the second light emitting unit 12b is configured to emit red light having a wavelength of less than 620 nm when a voltage is applied.
- the 1st light emission part 12a and the 2nd light emission part 12b are exhibiting the elongate shape extended in the left-right direction of the vehicle 1.
- Two first light emitting units 12a and two second light emitting units 12b are alternately arranged in the vertical direction of the vehicle.
- the first light emitting unit 12a and the second light emitting unit 12b are fixed to the substrate 11 while being sandwiched between the positive electrode 13 and the negative electrode 14.
- An insulating member 15 is interposed between the positive electrode 13 and the negative electrode 14 to prevent a short circuit.
- the positions of the positive electrode 13 and the negative electrode 14 may be reversed.
- the light source unit 7 includes a first light emitting unit 12a that emits red light in the first wavelength band and a second light emitting unit 12b that emits red light in a second wavelength band different from the first wavelength band. .
- a first light emitting unit 12a that emits red light in the first wavelength band
- a second light emitting unit 12b that emits red light in a second wavelength band different from the first wavelength band.
- the red light including a wavelength of 620 nm or more emitted from the first light emitting unit 12a is recognized as a deeper red color.
- the wavelength is difficult to be recognized by a person with weak color (red blindness). Therefore, it may be difficult for a person with weak color (red blindness) to visually recognize the lighting of the first light emitting unit 12a. Therefore, the second light emitting unit 12b is configured to emit red light including a wavelength of less than 620 nm. Since the wavelength is easily recognized by the color weak, the lighting of the marker lamp 3 can be reliably recognized.
- two types of light emitting units that emit light in different shades are recognized by a normal color vision person. Therefore, it is possible to achieve both safety and ensuring the diversity of light emission modes for persons with various color visions.
- the organic EL element 10 is used as the semiconductor light emitting element, it is difficult to recognize the color change at the boundary between the different light emitting portions, and a natural color change can be realized.
- the wavelength band of the red light emitted from the light source unit 7 is not limited to two types.
- the light source unit 7A according to the first modification shown in FIG. 3A includes a first light emitting unit 12a that emits red light in the first wavelength band, and a second light emission that emits red light in the second wavelength band.
- the organic EL element 10A including the part 12b and the third light emitting part 12c that emits red light in the third wavelength band is provided. According to such a configuration, the color change can be made richer.
- the first wavelength band, the second wavelength band, and the third wavelength band can be appropriately determined within a range of approximately 610 nm to 630 nm.
- any of the first light emitting unit 12a, the second light emitting unit 12b, and the third light emitting unit 12c needs to emit red light having a wavelength of less than 620 nm.
