本発明は、ゴム部材特に加硫ゴム部材を強力に接着させること、及び簡便に短時間で接着させることが可能な組成物、及び該組成物を用いた接着剤及び接着シート、並びに、これら接着剤組成物及び接着シートの少なくとも1種を用いてゴム層を接着してなる積層体に関する。
〔1〕 ポリチオール化合物(A)、イソシアネート基含有化合物(B)、及びラジカル発生剤(C)を配合してなり、
前記ポリチオール化合物(A)が、第一級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するヘテロ原子を含んでもよい脂肪族ポリチオール及び芳香族ポリチオールから選ばれる1種以上である、組成物。
〔2〕 前記ポリチオール化合物(A)が、脂肪族ポリチオールである、〔1〕に記載の組成物。

本発明の組成物は、ポリチオール化合物(A)、イソシアネート基含有化合物(B)、及びラジカル発生剤(C)を配合してなり、前記ポリチオール化合物(A)が、第一級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するヘテロ原子を含んでもよい脂肪族ポリチオール及び芳香族ポリチオールから選ばれる1種以上であることを特徴とする。
まず、ポリチオール化合物(A)の一部とイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)とがウレタン化反応を起こすことにより、組成物が強固に硬化すると考えられる。また、ポリチオール化合物(A)の他の一部が、ラジカル発生剤(C)と反応してチイルラジカルが生じ、このチイルラジカルが、ゴム中に存在する炭素-炭素二重結合と反応すると考えられる。このようなチオール・エン反応により、組成物がゴムに化学的に結合することにより、組成物がゴムに強力に接着すると考えられる。特に、未加硫ゴムのみならず加硫ゴムにも炭素-炭素二重結合が存在するため、本発明の組成物によると、ゴム特に加硫ゴムを強力に接着することができると考えられる。
また、ゴム中に存在する炭素-炭素結合主鎖からの水素引き抜き反応により、ポリチオール化合物(A)のチオール基の硫黄原子と炭素-炭素結合の炭素原子とが化学的に結合すると考えられる。したがって、必ずしもゴム中に炭素-炭素二重結合が存在しなくても良い。
なお、本明細書において、ポリチオール化合物(A)、イソシアネート基含有化合物(B)、ラジカル発生剤(C)、ウレタン化触媒(D)及び表面調整剤(E)を、それぞれ、成分(A)、成分(B)、成分(C)、成分(D)及び成分(E)ということがある。
本発明において、ポリチオール化合物(A)とは、1分子中にチオール基を2つ以上有する化合物のことをいい、ポリチオール化合物(A)には特に制限はないが、接着性を向上させる観点から、1分子中にチオール基を2~6個有するものが好ましく用いられる。
またヘテロ原子は、接着力の向上の観点から、好ましくは酸素、窒素、硫黄、リン、ハロゲン原子、ケイ素から選択される少なくとも1種であり、より好ましくは酸素、窒素、硫黄、リン及びハロゲン原子から選択される少なくとも1種であり、更に好ましくは酸素、窒素及び硫黄から選択される少なくとも1種である。
なお、上記の分子内に水酸基2~6個を有する多価アルコール類としては、炭素数2~20のアルカンジオール、ポリ(オキシアルキレン)グリコール、グリセロール、ジグリセロール、トリメチロールプロパン、ジトリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリスリトール、ジペンタエリスリトール等が挙げられる。
ヘテロ原子を含んでもよい非環式脂肪族化合物としては、接着性の向上の観点から、チオール基以外の部分が脂肪族炭化水素であるポリチオール、アルコールのハロヒドリン付加物のハロゲン原子をチオール基で置換してなるポリチオール、ポリエポキシド化合物の硫化水素反応生成物からなるポリチオール、チオグリコール酸エステル化物、メルカプト脂肪酸エステル化物、及びチオールイソシアヌレート化合物がより好ましく、メルカプト脂肪酸エステル化物及びチオールイソシアヌレート化合物が更に好ましく、メルカプト脂肪酸エステル化物がより更に好ましい。同様の観点から、ポリスルフィド基やシロキサン結合を含有しないチオールがより好ましい。
なお、チオール基で変性されたシルセスキオキサン等の、分子中にシリコン原子を含んだネットワーク構造のものは、イソシアネート基含有化合物(B)との良好な相溶性が得られにくく、ウレタン化反応による組成物の均一性及び硬化性が悪く好ましくない。
前記チオール基以外の部分が脂肪族炭化水素であるポリチオールの例としては、炭素数2~20のアルカンジチオールがある。
前記炭素数2~20のアルカンジチオールとしては、1,2-エタンジチオール、1,1-プロパンジチオール、1,2-プロパンジチオール、1,3-プロパンジチオール、2,2-プロパンジチオール、1,4-ブタンジチオール、2,3-ブタンジチオール、1,5-ペンタンジチオール、1,6-ヘキサンジチオール、1,8-オクタンジチオール、1,10-デカンジチオール、1,1-シクロヘキサンジチオール、1,2-シクロヘキサンジチオール等が挙げられる。
前記チオグリコール酸エステル化物としては、1,4-ブタンジオールビスチオグリコレート、1,6-ヘキサンジオールビスチオグリコレート、トリメチロールプロパントリスチオグリコレート、ペンタエリスリトールテトラキスチオグリコレート等が挙げられる。
前記メルカプト脂肪酸エステル化物としては、接着性の向上の観点から、第一級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するメルカプト脂肪酸エステル化物が好ましく、分子内に水酸基2~6個を有する多価アルコールの、β-メルカプトプロピオン酸エステル化物がより好ましい。また、第一級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するメルカプト脂肪酸エステル化物は、接着性の向上の観点から、1分子中におけるチオール基の数が4~6個(4~6官能)であることが好ましく、4個又は6個であることがより好ましく、4個であることがさらに好ましい。
イソシアヌレート環構造を有する化合物としては、接着力の向上の観点から、第一級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するチオールイソシアヌレート化合物が好ましい。また、第一級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するチオールイソシアヌレート化合物としては、接着性の向上の観点から、1分子中におけるチオール基の数が2~4個有する化合物であることが好ましく、3個有する化合物であることがより好ましい。
上記の第一級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するチオールイソシアヌレート化合物としては、トリス-[(3-メルカプトプロピオニルオキシ)-エチル]-イソシアヌレート(TEMPIC)が好ましい。
チオール基で変性されたシリコーンとしては、商品名KF-2001、KF-2004、X-22-167B(信越化学工業)、SMS042、SMS022(Gelest社)、PS849、PS850(UCT社)等が挙げられる。
芳香族ポリチオールとしては、1,2-ビス(メルカプトメチル)ベンゼン、1,3-ビス(メルカプトメチル)ベンゼン、1,4-ビス(メルカプトメチル)ベンゼン、1,2-ビス(メルカプトエチル)ベンゼン、1,3-ビス(メルカプトエチル)ベンゼン、1,4-ビス(メルカプトエチル)ベンゼン、1,2,3-トリメルカプトベンゼン、1,2,4-トリメルカプトベンゼン、1,3,5-トリメルカプトベンゼン、1,2,3-トリス(メルカプトメチル)ベンゼン、1,2,4-トリス(メルカプトメチル)ベンゼン、1,3,5-トリス(メルカプトメチル)ベンゼン、1,2,3-トリス(メルカプトエチル)ベンゼン、1,2,4-トリス(メルカプトエチル)ベンゼン、1,3,5-トリス(メルカプトエチル)ベンゼン等が挙げられる。
イソシアネート基含有化合物(B)としては、芳香族、脂肪族、脂環族のジイソシアネート、これらの変性体等が挙げられる。
すなわち、TMPアダクト型変性体としては、TMPとTDIとの反応により得られるTMPアダクト型変性体、TMPとXDIとの反応により得られるTMPアダクト型変性体、TMPと水添XDIとの反応により得られるTMPアダクト型変性体、TMPとIPDIとの反応により得られるTMPアダクト型変性体、TMPとHDIとの反応により得られるTMPアダクト型変性体、及びTMPとMDIとの反応により得られるTMPアダクト型変性体が好ましい。
また、イソシアヌレート型変性体としては、HDIの3量化により得られるイソシアヌレート型変性体、IPDIの3量化により得られるイソシアヌレート型変性体、TDIの3量化により得られるイソシアヌレート型変性体、及び水添XDIの3量化により得られるイソシアヌレート型変性体が好ましく、HDIの3量化により得られるイソシアヌレート型変性体、IPDIの3量化により得られるイソシアヌレート型変性体及び水添XDIの3量化により得られるイソシアヌレート型変性体の少なくとも1種以上がさらに好ましい。
また、ビューレット型変性体としては、ウレアとHDIとの反応により得られるビューレット型変性体が好ましい。
また、アロファネート型変性体としては、ウレタンとIPDIとの反応により得られるアロファネート型変性体が好ましい。
ここで、1級チオール基を有するβ-メルカプトプロピオン酸エステル化物としては、好ましくはペンタエリスリトールテトラキス(3-メルカプトプロピオネート)(PEMP)及びジペンタエリスリトールヘキサキス(3-メルカプトプロピオネート)DPMPの少なくとも1種である。また、この1級チオール基を有するチオールイソシアヌレート化合物としては、好ましくは1分子中におけるチオール基の数が3個である1級チオール基を有するチオールイソシアヌレート化合物であり、より好ましくはトリス-[(3-メルカプトプロピオニルオキシ)-エチル]-イソシアヌレート(TEMPIC)である。
なお、上記NCO含有率は、JIS K 1603に準じて測定される。
ラジカル発生剤(C)としては、熱ラジカル発生剤及び光ラジカル発生剤の少なくとも1種を用いることができる。これらの中で、接着力の向上の観点及び透明ではない(光を通さない)ゴムを接着できるという観点から、熱ラジカル発生剤が好ましく、過酸化物からなる熱ラジカル発生剤がより好ましく、有機過酸化物からなる熱ラジカル発生剤が更に好ましい。
ラジカル発生剤(C)は、1種を単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて使用することもできる。
例えば分子内開裂型の光ラジカル発生剤が挙げられ、ベンゾインエチルエーテル、ベンゾインイソブチルエーテル、ベンゾインイソプロピルエーテル等のベンゾインアルキルエーテル系光ラジカル発生剤;2,2-ジエトキシアセトフェノン、4’-フェノキシ-2,2-ジクロロアセトフェノン等のアセトフェノン系光ラジカル発生剤;2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチルプロピオフェノン、4’-イソプロピル-2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチルプロピオフェノン、4’-ドデシル-2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチルプロピオフェノン等のプロピオフェノン系光ラジカル発生剤;ベンジルジメチルケタール、1-ヒドロキシシクロヘキシルフェニルケトン及び2-エチルアントラキノン、2-クロロアントラキノン等のアントラキノン系光ラジカル発生剤;アシルフォスフィンオキサイド系光ラジカル発生剤等が挙げられる。
これらの光ラジカル発生剤は、1種を単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて使用することもできる。
本発明の組成物は、更に任意成分が配合されてもよい。任意成分としては、ウレタン化触媒、表面調整剤、溶剤、バインダー、フィラー、顔料分散剤、導電性付与剤、紫外線吸収剤、酸化防止剤、乾燥防止剤、浸透剤、pH調整剤、金属封鎖剤、防菌防かび剤、界面活性剤、可塑剤、ワックス、レベリング剤等が挙げられる。
ウレタン化触媒(D)としては、任意のウレタン化触媒を用いることができる。該ウレタン化反応用触媒としては、ジブチルスズジラウレート、ジブチルスズジアセテート、ジブチルスズチオカルボキシレート、ジブチルスズジマレエート、ジオクチルスズチオカルボキシレート、オクテン酸スズ、モノブチルスズオキシド等の有機スズ化合物;塩化第一スズ等の無機スズ化合物;オクテン酸鉛等の有機鉛化合物;ビス(2-ジメチルアミノエチル)エーテル、N,N,N’,N’-テトラメチルヘキサメチレンジアミン、トリエチレンジアミン(TEDA)、ベンジルジメチルアミン、2,2’-ジモルホリノエチルエーテル、N-メチルモルフォリン等のアミン類;p-トルエンスルホン酸、メタンスルホン酸、フルオロ硫酸等の有機スルホン酸;硫酸、リン酸、過塩素酸等の無機酸;ナトリウムアルコラート、水酸化リチウム、アルミニウムアルコラート、水酸化ナトリウム等の塩基類;テトラブチルチタネート、テトラエチルチタネート、テトライソプロピルチタネート等のチタン化合物;ビスマス化合物;四級アンモニウム塩等が挙げられる。これらの中でも、好ましくは上記アミン類であり、より好ましくはトリエチレンジアミン(TEDA)である。これら触媒は、1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。
表面調整剤(E)としては、任意の表面調整剤を使用することができる。該表面調整剤としては、アクリル系、ビニル系、シリコーン系、フッ素系などが挙げられる。これらの中でも、相溶性と表面張力低下能の観点からシリコーン系が好ましい。
溶剤としては、他の配合成分と反応しないものであれば特に制限はなく、芳香族溶媒や脂肪族溶媒が挙げられる。
芳香族溶媒の具体例としては、トルエン、キシレン等が挙げられる。脂肪族溶媒としては、ヘキサン等が挙げられる。
配合されるポリチオール化合物(A)に含まれるチオール基の合計モル数に対する、配合されるイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)に含まれるイソシアネート基の合計モル数の比(イソシアネート基/チオール基)は、0.20以上0.78以下とすることが好ましい。当該比(イソシアネート基/チオール基)が上記範囲にあれば、組成物が十分に強固に硬化し、接着強度が大きくなる。また、イソシアネート基量に対してチオール基量が十分であるため、チオール基とゴム部材の炭素-炭素二重結合との間でチオール・エン反応が十分に行われ、組成物をゴム部材に強固に接着させることができ、接着強度が大きくなる。当該比(イソシアネート基/チオール基)は、より好ましくは0.3以上であり、好ましくは0.7以下であり、さらに好ましくは0.3以上0.6以下である。
ここで、配合されるポリチオール化合物(A)に含まれるチオール基の合計モル数は、配合されるポリチオール化合物(A)のモル数に、ポリチオール化合物(A)の1分子が有するチオール基数を乗じることにより算出することができる。
また、配合されるイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)に含まれるイソシアネート基の合計モル数は、JIS K1603-1 B法により測定することができる。
更に、上記モル数の比(イソシアネート基/チオール基)は、上記のようにして得られる、配合されるイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)に含まれるイソシアネート基の合計モル数を、配合されるポリチオール化合物(A)に含まれるチオール基の合計モル数で除することにより求めることができる。
ここで、配合される炭素-炭素二重結合を含む化合物に含まれる炭素-炭素二重結合の合計モル数は、配合される当該化合物のモル数に、当該化合物の1分子が有する炭素-炭素二重結合の数を乗じることにより求めることができる。
また、上記モル数の比(炭素-炭素二重結合/チオール基)は、上記のようにして得られる、炭素-炭素二重結合の合計モル数を、配合されるポリチオール化合物(A)に含まれるチオール基の合計モル数で除することにより求めることができる。
同様の観点から、成分(A)~(E)の合計含有量は、好ましくは90質量%以上、より好ましくは95質量%以上、更に好ましくは99質量%以上、特に好ましくは100質量%である。
本発明の接着剤は、上記の組成物を含む。この接着剤は、本発明の目的を阻害しない範囲内において、上記の組成物以外の成分を含んでもよい。しかし、本発明の効果を良好に発現させる観点から、接着剤中における組成物の含有量は、好ましくは90質量%以上、より好ましくは95質量%以上、更に好ましくは99質量%以上、特に好ましくは100質量%である。
上記接着剤を塗布するに際しては、接着剤の厚さは、接着する対象や要求される接着強度等に応じて適宜選択することができるが、例えば、1μm以上1000μm以下であり、好ましくは20μm以上300μm以下であり、より好ましくは30μm以上200μm以下である。
本発明の接着シートは、前述した組成物を用いてなるものである。
この接着シートは、剥離紙や剥離フィルム等の剥離シート上に組成物を塗布し、シート形状を保持することにより、好適に製造することができる。この保持により、組成物中のチオール基とイソシアネート基の少なくとも一部がチオールウレタン反応することにより、シート形状になるものと考えられる。なお、塗布後、常温で放置することにより、接着シートを好適に製造することができる。また、塗布後、ラジカル発生剤によるラジカル反応が開始しない程度に加熱することにより、接着シートを製造してもよい。以上の観点から、塗布後の放置温度又は加熱温度は、好ましくは-30~60℃であり、より好ましくは-20~40℃、更に好ましくは0~40℃である。
また、保持時間は、ウレタン化触媒の量により調整することができる。シート化形成の作業性及び接着作業時にシート形状を維持し得る程度に保形させる観点から、好ましくは30分以上であり、より好ましくは60分以上である。
接着シートの厚さは、接着する対象や要求される接着強度等に応じて適宜選択することができるが、例えば、1μm以上1000μm以下であり、好ましくは20μm以上300μm以下であり、より好ましくは30μm以上200μm以下である。
本発明の積層体は、複数の層が接着されてなる積層体であって、少なくとも1つの層がゴム層からなり、前記ゴム層が、前述の接着剤又は接着シートを介して隣接する層に接着されてなるものである。
複数の層は、すべてゴム層でもよく、ゴム層以外の層が含まれていてもよい。
各層の寸法や層数は、目的に応じて適宜選択することができる。
ゴム層は、加硫ゴムであっても未加硫ゴムであってもよい。
また、ゴム層を構成するゴムが、炭素-炭素二重結合を有することが好ましい。この場合、前記接着剤又は前記接着シートに接するゴム層が有する炭素-炭素二重結合の炭素原子が、前記接着剤又は前記接着シートが有するポリチオール化合物(A)のチオール基の硫黄原子と炭素-硫黄結合を形成すると推測される。
ただし、ゴム層を構成するゴムが、炭素-炭素二重結合を有しなくても、積層体を得ることができると推測される。この場合、ポリチオール化合物(A)による、ゴム中に存在する炭素-炭素結合主鎖からの水素引き抜き反応により、ポリチオール化合物(A)のチオール基の硫黄原子と炭素-炭素結合の炭素原子とが化学的に結合すると推測される。しかし、接着力の向上の観点からは、ゴム層を構成するゴムが、炭素-炭素二重結合を有することが好ましい。
ゴム層以外の層としては、金属層や樹脂層が挙げられる。本発明の接着剤及び接着シートによると、これら金属層及び樹脂層をも強力に接着することができる。チオール基は塩基として作用して金属化合物と強い結合を作りやすいためと推測され、また、樹脂化合物とは水素引抜反応により結合を形成するためと推測される。
次に、接着剤を用いて積層体を製造する方法について説明する。
本発明の積層体は、隣接する層同士を、本発明の接着剤を介して接着することにより、好適に得ることができる。
例えば、先ず、ゴム層に、又はゴム層と対向するゴム層以外の層に、接着剤を塗布する。次いで、必要に応じて所定時間放置した後、この接着剤の塗布面に対して、他の層を接面させ、重ね合せ体を得る。この際、対向する2面のうち片面に接着剤が塗布されても良く、両面に接着剤が塗布されていても良い。次いで、必要に応じて、この重ね合せ体にその厚み方向のプレス圧を加えながら、硬化させることにより、積層体を好適に製造することができる。
重ね合せ体にプレス圧を加える場合、接着力を向上させると共に積層体から接着剤が漏出することを防止又は抑制する観点から、プレス圧は、好ましくは0MPa以上5MPa以下であり、より好ましくは0MPa以上2.5MPa以下であり、更に好ましくは0MPa以上1MPa以下である。また、同様の観点から、プレス時間は、好ましくは5分以上120分以下であり、より好ましくは10分以上60分以下であり、更に好ましくは15分以上45分以下である。
接着剤がラジカル発生剤として光ラジカル発生剤を含んでいる場合、硬化は光照射により行うことが好ましい。光としては、紫外線、可視光線、赤外線、X線などの電磁波;α線、γ線、電子線などの粒子線から選択される少なくとも1種を好ましく用いることができる。これらの中でも、光としては紫外線が好ましい。接着力の向上及びコスト低減の観点から、光源としては、紫外線ランプを好適に用いることができる。また、同様の観点から、光照射時間は、好ましくは数秒~数十秒、より好ましくは1~40秒、更に好ましくは3~20秒である。
加熱及び光照射のいずれの操作においても、接着剤に熱エネルギー又は光エネルギーが伝達すれば、加熱する部位又は光照射する部位に特に制限はなく、重ね合わせ体のどこへ加熱又は光照射してもよい。つまり、接着剤を直接加熱又は光照射してもよいし、ゴム及び/又は被着体を介して接着剤が加熱又は光照射されてもよい。
なお、加熱によって硬化させた場合にも強力な接着力が得られることは、接着剤へ十分な光照射をし難い場合に、加熱する方法を採用できる点で有益であり、かつ、重ね合わせ体のどの部位へ加熱及び/又は光照射をしても強力に接着させられる点で、操作が容易となり好ましい。
次に、接着シートを用いて積層体を製造する方法について説明する。
本発明の積層体は、隣接する層同士を、本発明の接着シートを介して接着することにより、好適に得ることができる。また当該積層体は、接着シート1枚を介して得られたものであってもよいし、接着シート2枚以上を介して得られたものであってもよい。
例えば、先ず、隣接する層同士の間に接着シートを1枚介在させ、重ね合せ体を得る。次いで、必要に応じて、この重ね合せ体にその厚み方向のプレス圧を加えながら、硬化させることにより、積層体を好適に製造することができる。
上記重ね合せ体にプレス圧を加える場合、接着力を向上させる観点から、プレス圧は、好ましくは0.1MPa以上5.0MPa以下であり、より好ましくは0.2MPa以上4.0MPa以下であり、更に好ましくは0.3MPa以上3.0MPa以下であり、特に好ましくは0.4MPa以上3.0MPa以下である。
なお、それ以外のプレス条件(プレス時間)や、硬化条件(加熱温度、加熱時間、光源、及び光照射時間)は、前述した接着剤を用いる場合と同様である。
加熱及び光照射のいずれの操作においても、接着シートに熱エネルギー又は光エネルギーが伝達すれば、加熱する部位又は光照射する部位に特に制限はなく、重ね合せ体のどこへ加熱又は光照射してもよい。つまり、接着シートを直接加熱又は光照射してもよいし、ゴム及び/又は被着体を介して接着シートが加熱又は光照射されてもよい。
なお、前述のとおり、加熱によって硬化させた場合にも強力な接着力が得られることは、接着剤へ十分な光照射をし難い場合に、加熱する方法を採用できる点で有益であり、かつ、重ね合せ体のどの部位へ加熱及び/又は光照射をしても強力に接着させられる点で、操作が容易となり好ましい。
原料等としては、次のものを用いた。

配合されるポリチオール化合物(A)に含まれるチオール基の合計モル数は、配合量を理論分子量で除し、ポリチオール化合物(A)の1分子が有するチオール基数を乗じることにより算出することにより求めた。
配合されるイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)に含まれるイソシアネート基の合計モル数は、JIS K1603-1 B法により測定した。
下記の表1の配合に従い、ゴム部材(縦100mm×横25mm×厚さ10mm)を製造した。具体的には、まず表1の配合で混練した未加硫ゴムを縦50mm×横270mm×厚さ3.4mmに圧延したシートとし、次いでこれを3枚重ねて縦150mm×横270mm×厚さ10mmのモールド中で150℃45分の条件で加硫を行った。そして得られた加硫ゴムを縦100mm、幅25mmにカットして引張試験用サンプル(ゴム部材)とした。

鋼板は株式会社テストピース社製SPCC-SDを利用した。
接着剤を、厚さが30μmになるように2枚のゴム部材に塗布し、塗布面を貼り合せて硬化させた。硬化は、温度150℃にて、0.05MPaのプレス圧を加えながら一定時間保持することにより行った。該ゴム部材を、引張速度50mm/分の条件で、180度の方向に引っ張り、剥離強度(N/25mm)を測定して接着性の指標とした。
[接着シートの硬化体についての接着力の測定方法]
厚さ30μmの接着シートを、ゴム部材同士で挟み、硬化させた。硬化は、温度150℃にて、2.5MPaのプレス圧を加えながら一定時間保持することにより行った。該ゴム部材を、引張速度50mm/分の条件で、180度の方向に引っ張り、剥離強度(N/25mm)を測定して接着性の指標とした。
接着力の値としては、100N/25mm以上の力であればゴム基材が破壊されるレベルの十分な接着力を有する。好ましくは300N/25mm以上である。一方100N/25mm未満の力では基材と接着剤の反応が十分でなく界面で剥離している状態あるいは接着力の凝集力が十分でなく、接着剤自身が凝集破壊してしまう。そのような状態ではいずれも接着力は十分とは言えない。
前記接着剤及び接着シートを用いたゴム部材の接着において、表面タックがなくなるまでの時間を硬化時間とした。この硬化時間により、硬化速度を以下の基準により判断した。
・○:硬化時間が3時間未満
・△:硬化時間が3時間以上5時間未満
・×:硬化時間が5時間以上
実施例1~6及び比較例1~6(接着剤)では、配合されるポリチオール化合物(A)に含まれるチオール基の合計モル数に対する、配合されるイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)に含まれるイソシアネート基の合計モル数の比(イソシアネート基/チオール基)を一定(0.5)として、ポリチオール化合物(A)及びイソシアネート基含有化合物の組み合わせを変えることにより、硬化時間及び接着力を比較した。
また、実施例7~10(接着剤)では、配合されるポリチオール化合物(A)に含まれるチオール基の合計モル数に対する、配合されるイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)に含まれるイソシアネート基の合計モル数の比を変化させ、当該比(イソシアネート基/チオール基)と硬化時間及び接着力との関係を検討した。
さらに、実施例11~20及び比較例7~12(接着シート)では、上記実施例1~10及び比較例1~6(接着剤)の接着剤を接着シートにしたこと以外は同様にして、上記と同様の評価を行った。
次に、これら実施例及び比較例について具体的に説明する。
下記表2に示すとおり(各成分の数値は質量部を示す。)に各成分を配合して組成物を得、当該組成物を接着剤とした。
得られた接着剤を、上記のとおりに硬化し、上記のとおりに接着剤の硬化時間及び硬化体についての接着力を測定した。ゴム部材としてはNR/BRを用いた。その結果を表3に示す。
なお、表2並びに後述する表4、表6及び表8において、チオール官能基濃度とは、接着剤又は接着シートの各構成成分の合計量に対するチオール基の濃度(mmol/g)のことをいう。また、NCO官能基濃度とは、接着剤又は接着シートの各構成成分の合計量に対するイソシアネート基の濃度(mmol/g)のことをいう。更に発生剤濃度とは、接着剤又は接着シートの各構成成分の合計量に対するラジカル発生剤の濃度(mmol/g)のことをいう。但し、各構成成分は相互に反応したり分解したりすることがあるため、いずれの値も、各構成成分が反応又は分解する前において算出した値、換言すると、実際に配合する直前の各構成成分の量から算出される理論値とした。
表2に示すとおり、実施例11~20及び比較例7~12では、それぞれ、実施例1~10及び比較例1~6と同様の接着剤を用意した。
当該接着剤をPET製剥離シート上に塗布し、室温で一定時間保持することにより、縦100mm、横25mm、厚さ30μmの接着シートを得た。
得られた接着シートを、上記のとおりに硬化し、上記のとおりに接着剤の硬化時間及び接着シートの硬化体についての接着力を測定した。ゴム部材としては、実施例1と同様にNR/BRを用いた。その結果を表3に示す。
実施例21~26及び比較例13(接着剤)では、主に配合されるポリチオール化合物(A)に含まれるチオール基の合計モル数に対する、配合されるラジカル発生剤(C)の合計モル数の比(ラジカル発生剤(C)/チオール基)を変えることにより、当該比(ラジカル発生剤(C)/チオール基)と接着剤の硬化時間及び接着力との関係を検討した。
また、実施例27~32及び比較例14(接着シート)では、上記実施例21~26及び比較例13(接着剤)の接着剤を接着シートにしたこと以外は同様にして、当該比(ラジカル発生剤(C)/チオール基)と接着剤の硬化時間及び接着力との関係を検討した。
次に、これら実施例及び比較例について具体的に説明する。
表4に示す配合としたこと以外は、実施例1と同様の操作を行った。その結果を表5に示す。

実施例33~38(接着剤)では、接着対象物であるゴムの種類を変えることにより、接着対象物であるゴムの種類と接着剤の硬化時間及び接着力との関係を検討した。
また、実施例39~44(接着シート)では、上記実施例33~38(接着剤)の接着剤を接着シートにしたこと以外は同様にして、接着対象物であるゴムの種類と接着剤の硬化時間及び接着力との関係を検討した。
次に、これら実施例について具体的に説明する。
表6に示す配合とし、表7に示すゴム部材を用いたこと以外は実施例1と同様の操作を行った。その結果を表7に示す。

実施例45~54(接着剤)では、配合されるイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)の種類を変えることにより、イソシアネート基含有化合物(B)の種類と接着剤の硬化時間及び接着力との関係を検討した。
また、実施例55~64(接着シート)では、上記実施例45~54(接着剤)の接着剤を接着シートにしたこと以外は同様にして、イソシアネート基含有化合物(B)の種類と接着剤の硬化時間及び接着力との関係を検討した。
次に、これら実施例について具体的に説明する。
表8に示す配合とし、表9に示すイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)を用いたこと以外は実施例1と同様の操作を行った。その結果を表9に示す。
表8に示す配合とし、表9に示すイソシアネート基含有化合物(B)を用いたこと以外は実施例11と同様の操作を行った。その結果を表9に示す。
表2~表9に示すとおり、実施例1~64では、成分(A)~(C)を含み、かつ成分(A)として第一級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するポリチオール化合物を用いているため、接着剤としての組成物の硬化時間が短く、また接着力が高かった。
一方、比較例1~12は、第二級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するポリチオール化合物を用いているか、ポリチオール化合物あるいはイソシアネート基含有化合物を用いていないため、上記硬化時間が比較的長く、また接着力が低かった。
また、比較例13及び14は、ラジカル発生剤(C)を配合していないため、接着力が低かった。

- ポリチオール化合物(A)、イソシアネート基含有化合物(B)、及びラジカル発生剤(C)を配合してなり、
前記ポリチオール化合物(A)が、第一級炭素に結合したチオール基を有するヘテロ原子を含んでもよい脂肪族ポリチオール及び芳香族ポリチオールから選ばれる1種以上である、組成物。 - 前記ポリチオール化合物(A)が、脂肪族ポリチオールである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記脂肪族ポリチオールが、ヘテロ原子を含んでもよい非環式脂肪族化合物である、請求項2に記載の組成物。

- 請求項1~8のいずれかに記載の組成物を含む接着剤。
- 請求項1~8のいずれかに記載の組成物を用いてなる接着シート。
- 2つ以上の層が接着されてなる積層体であって、
少なくとも1つの層がゴム層からなり、
前記ゴム層のうちの少なくとも1層が、請求項9に記載の接着剤または請求項10に記載の接着シートを介して、隣接する層に接着されてなる積層体。
