Abstract
Description
これまでタイヤパンクシール材の液量は、適用されるタイヤのサイズ(内面積)に応じて決定された。つまり、タイヤパンクシール材がタイヤ内面全体を均一に濡らす量を必要量としていた。
そこで、本発明は、タイヤパンクシール材の量を減らし、少量でもシール性能に優れるタイヤパンクシール材を提供することを目的とする。
一方、シリコーンエマルジョンは、タイヤの内部を構成するインナーライナーがシリコーンエマルジョンをはじいてしまいパンクをシールできないため、シリコーンエマルジョンはタイヤパンクシール材には使用されていなかった。
1. 合成樹脂エマルジョンAと、天然ゴムラテックス及び/又は合成樹脂エマルジョンBとを含有し、
前記合成樹脂エマルジョンAの表面自由エネルギーが20~50mJ/m2であり、
前記合成樹脂エマルジョンAの固形分が、前記天然ゴムラテックスの固形分及び/又は前記合成樹脂エマルジョンBの固形分100質量部に対して、5~25質量部である、タイヤパンクシール材。

本発明のタイヤパンク修理キットは、コンパクトでシール性能に優れる。
本発明のタイヤパンクシール材は、
合成樹脂エマルジョンAと、天然ゴムラテックス及び/又は合成樹脂エマルジョンBとを含有し、
前記合成樹脂エマルジョンAの表面自由エネルギーが20~50mJ/m2であり、
前記合成樹脂エマルジョンAの固形分が、前記天然ゴムラテックスの固形分及び/又は前記合成樹脂エマルジョンBの固形分100質量部に対して、5~25質量部である、タイヤパンクシール材である。
本発明のタイヤパンクシール材が従来のタイヤパンクシール材より使用量が少ないのは、表面自由エネルギーが小さい合成樹脂エマルジョンAを含むことによって、タイヤパンクシール材がゴムに対してぬれやすくなるからであると本願発明者は考える。
なお上記メカニズムは本願発明者の推察であり、メカニズムが異なったものであっても本願発明の範囲内である。
シリコーンエマルジョンとしては、例えば、反応型シリコーンオイルのエマルジョン(触媒併用又は高温キュアにより架橋反応することができる。)、粘度が10,000mm2/s未満のジメチルシリコーンオイルのエマルジョン、長鎖アルキル基含有シリコーンオイルのエマルジョンが挙げられる。
合成樹脂エマルジョンBの表面自由エネルギーは特に制限されない。例えば、これを50mJ/m2以上とすることができ、50mJ/m2を超える値とすることができ、55mJ/m2以上とすることができる。また、これを、例えば、80mJ/m2以下とすることができ、75mJ/m2以下とすることができる。
合成樹脂bの表面自由エネルギーは特に制限されない。例えば、50~75mJ/m2とすることができ、50mJ/m2を超える値とすることができ、55mJ/m2以上とすることができる。
エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョンに含まれるエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体は、モノマーとしてエチレン、酢酸ビニルを少なくとも使用して製造される共重合体であれば特に制限されない。エチレン、酢酸ビニル以外のモノマーとして例えば、バーサチック酸ビニルのようなビニル基含有化合物が挙げられる。
エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョンとしては、例えば、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョン(2元系)、エチレン酢酸ビニルバーサチック酸ビニル共重合体(3元系)が挙げられる。
また、天然ゴムラテックスの固形分(固形分の量)は、同様の理由から、上記合計100質量部中、20~85質量部であるのが好ましく、20~60質量部であるのがより好ましく、30~50質量部であるのが更に好ましい。
凍結防止剤の量は、シール性能により優れ、貯蔵安定性、作業性に優れるという観点から、合成樹脂エマルジョンAと、天然ゴムラテックス及び/又は合成樹脂エマルジョンBとの固形分の合計100質量部に対して、50~400質量部であるのが好ましく、60~350質量部であるのがより好ましい。
界面活性剤はそれぞれ単独でまたは2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
界面活性剤の量は、合成樹脂エマルジョンAと、天然ゴムラテックス及び/又は合成樹脂エマルジョンBとの固形分の合計100質量部に対して、1~5質量部であるのが好ましく、2~4質量部であるのがより好ましい。
本発明のタイヤパンクシール材中の水の量は、特に制限されない。例えば、合成樹脂エマルジョンAと、天然ゴムラテックス及び/又は合成樹脂エマルジョンBとの固形分の合計100質量部に対して、30~50質量部とすることができる。
タイヤ内部のゴムは特に制限されない。例えば、ブチルゴムが挙げられる。タイヤ内部のゴムの表面自由エネルギーは、タイヤパンクシール材とぬれやすくなりタイヤパンクシール材の使用量をより低減し、シール性能により優れるという観点から、35~65mJ/m2であるのが好ましい。
また、本発明のタイヤパンクシール材の使用量はパンク穴の大きさ等に応じて適宜選択することができる。
また、本発明のタイヤパンクシール材は、その使用方法について特に制限されない。例えば、まず、本発明のタイヤパンクシール材をタイヤの空気充填部からタイヤ内に注入する。本発明のタイヤパンクシール材をタイヤ内に注入する方法は、特に限定されず従来公知の方法を用いることができ、例えば、シリンジ、スプレー缶等を用いる方法が挙げられる。
次に、所定の空気圧まで空気を充填する。
その後、車を走行させる。タイヤが回転接地する際に受ける圧縮力や剪断力によって合成樹脂等の凝集体を形成し、パンク穴をシールすることができる。なお本発明のタイヤパンクシール材の使用方法は上記の方法に限定されない。
本発明のタイヤパンクシール材をタイヤパンク修理キットに組み込むことができる。
本発明のタイヤパンク修理キットは、本発明のタイヤパンクシール材を有するタイヤパンク修理キットである。
本発明のタイヤパンク修理キットに使用されるタイヤパンクシール材は、本発明のタイヤパンクシール材であれば特に制限されない。
本発明のタイヤパンク修理キットはタイヤパンクシール材以外に例えば、シリンジ、スプレー缶、コンプレッサー、エマルジョン凝固剤を有することができる。
本発明のタイヤパンク修理キットは、その使用方法について特に制限されない。例えば、従来公知のものが挙げられる。

上記のとおり製造したタイヤパンクシール材を用いて、タイヤのパンクをシールできる、タイヤパンクシール材の使用量の下限を以下の方法で評価した。結果を第1表に示す。
まず、195/65R15のサイズのタイヤのトレッドショルダー部に、直径4mmの釘を貫通させて1個のパンク孔をあけた。
当該タイヤのトレッドショルダー部のゴムはブチルゴムであり、その表面自由エネルギーは50mJ/m2であった。ゴムの表面自由エネルギーは、液体として水とヨウ化メチレンの液滴を用いて、ゴム上にできた液滴の接触角を協和界面科学社製接触角計を用いて25℃の条件下で測定し、Fowkes式から求めた。
次いで、パンク孔を空けたタイヤをドラム試験機に装着し、上記のとおり製造したタイヤパンクシール材200~600ミリリットルを、タイヤのバルブ口から注入し、タイヤ内圧が200kPaになるように空気を充填した。
その後、荷重350kg、時速30kmの条件下で上記タイヤを10分間走行させて、走行後に、目視による確認、及び、石鹸水をパンク孔付近に吹き付ける処理による評価をして、空気漏れがなくなるかどうかを確認した。空気漏れをなくすことができた、タイヤパンクシール材の使用量の下限値を第1表に示す。
・NRラテックス1:商品名Hytex HA、フェルフェックス社製、野村貿易社、天然ゴムラテックス
・EVAエマルジョン1:商品名スミカフレックスS400HQ、住化ケムテックス社製、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体の樹脂エマルジョン
・EVAエマルジョン2:商品名スミカフレックスS951HQ、住化ケムテックス社製、エチレン酢酸ビニルバーサチック酸ビニル共重合体の樹脂エマルジョン
・シリコーンエマルジョン1:商品名MF23、信越化学工業社製、反応型シリコーンオイルのエマルジョン
・シリコーンエマルジョン2:商品名オフコンT、信越化学工業社製、低粘度(10~1,000mm2/s)ジメチルシリコーンオイルのエマルジョン
・シリコーンエマルジョン3:商品名x-52-8048、信越化学工業社製、長鎖アルキル基含有シリコーンオイルのエマルジョン
・シリコーンエマルジョン4:商品名KM797、信越化学工業社製、高粘度(10万~100万mm2/s)ジメチルシリコーンオイルのエマルジョン
・シリコーンエマルジョン5:商品名KM862T、信越化学工業社製、中粘度(1万mm2/s)ジメチルシリコーンオイルのエマルジョン
・界面活性剤1 SDS:ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム、陰イオン性界面活性剤、和光純薬工業社製
・界面活性剤2 POE:ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル、非イオン性界面活性剤、エマルゲン109、花王社製
・凍結防止剤1:プロピレングリコール、和光純薬工業社製
・凍結防止剤2:エチレングリコール、和光純薬工業社製
・凍結防止剤3:ジエチレングリコール、和光純薬工業社製
・凍結防止剤4:グリセリン、和光純薬工業社製
これに対して、実施例1~8は、パンクをシールするために必要なタイヤパンクシール材の量が少なかった。
また、いずれの実施例・比較例でもパンク修理後に、使用されたタイヤパンクシール材の略全量が回収されたが、その回収量も、実施例は比較例より少なかった。
このように本発明のタイヤパンクシール材は、その使用量を低減でき、シール性に優れる。また使用後のタイヤパンクシール材の量(廃棄物量)を低減できる。タイヤパンクシール材の使用量を低減できることから、本発明のタイヤパンク修理キットはコンパクトで、当該キットにおけるコストダウン(MCD)にもなる。
Claims (6)
- 合成樹脂エマルジョンAと、天然ゴムラテックス及び/又は合成樹脂エマルジョンBとを含有し、
前記合成樹脂エマルジョンAの表面自由エネルギーが20~50mJ/m2であり、
前記合成樹脂エマルジョンAの固形分が、前記天然ゴムラテックスの固形分及び/又は前記合成樹脂エマルジョンBの固形分100質量部に対して、5~25質量部である、タイヤパンクシール材。 - 前記合成樹脂エマルジョンAが、シリコーンエマルジョンである請求項1に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記合成樹脂エマルジョンBが、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョン及び/又はポリ酢酸ビニルエマルジョンである請求項1又は2に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- さらに凍結防止剤を含有し、前記凍結防止剤が、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール及びグリセリンからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種である請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記天然ゴムラテックス及び前記合成樹脂エマルジョンBを含有し、
前記天然ゴムラテックスの固形分及び前記合成樹脂エマルジョンBの固形分の合計100質量部中、前記天然ゴムラテックスの固形分が20~85質量部であり、前記合成樹脂エマルジョンBの固形分が15~80質量部である請求項1~4のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。 - 請求項1~5のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材を有するタイヤパンク修理キット。
