- FIG. 1 illustrates an example of a form of a flexible display device according to an exemplary embodiment.
- the flexible display apparatus 100 may include a main body 2100, a display 110, and a grip 2200.
- the flexible display apparatus 100 refers to a device that can be bent, bent, folded, or rolled like a paper while maintaining the display characteristics of a conventional flat panel display apparatus. Therefore, the flexible display apparatus 100 including the display unit 110 has a bendable characteristic, and the display unit 110 should be made of a structure and a material that can be bent. This will be described later with reference to FIG. 5.
- the main body 2100 serves as a kind of case containing the display 110.
- the main body 2100 includes a rotating roller for rolling the display unit 110. Accordingly, when not in use, the display 110 may be rolled around the rotating roller and embedded in the main body 2100.
- the rolling roller When the user grips and pulls the grip part 2200, the rolling roller is rotated in the opposite direction to the rolling direction, and the rolling is released, and the display 110 comes out of the main body 2100.
- the rotating roller may be provided with a stopper (not shown). Accordingly, when the user pulls the grip 2200 over a predetermined distance, the rotation of the rotating roller is stopped by the stopper, and the display 110 may be fixed.
- the rotation roller rotates in the reverse direction while the stopper is released, and as a result, the display 110 moves into the main body 2100. Can be rolled back.
- the stopper can be in the form of a switch to stop the operation of the gear for rotating the rotary roller. Since the structure used in the conventional rolling structure can be used as it is about the rotating roller and the stopper, detailed illustration and description thereof will be omitted.
- the main body 2100 includes a power supply (not shown).
- the power supply unit (not shown) may be implemented in various forms such as a battery connection unit in which a disposable battery is mounted, a secondary battery that a user can charge and use a plurality of times, and a solar cell that generates power using solar heat.
- the user may charge the power supply unit (not shown) by connecting the main body 2100 and an external power supply by wire.
- the shape of the main body 2100 may be implemented as a quadrangle or other polygon.
- the power supply unit 2300 may be provided at one edge of the flexible display apparatus 100 and may be attached or detached.
- the power supply unit 2300 may be made of a flexible material and bend together with the display unit 110. Specifically, the power supply unit 2300 may include a negative electrode current collector, a negative electrode, an electrolyte portion, a positive electrode, a positive electrode current collector, and a covering portion covering the same.
- the current collector may be implemented by alloys such as TiNi-based, good metals such as copper, aluminum, copper-coated pure metals, conductive materials such as carbon, carbon fiber, conductive polymers such as polypyrrole, and the like. .
- the negative electrode may be made of metals such as lithium, sodium, zinc, magnesium, cadmium, hydrogen storage alloys, lead, nonmetals such as carbon, and negative electrode materials such as polymer electrode materials such as organic sulfur.
- the positive electrode may be made of positive electrode materials such as sulfur and metal sulfides, lithium transition metal oxides such as LiCoO 2, SOCl 2, MnO 2, Ag 2 O, Cl 2, NiCl 2, NiOOH, and polymer electrodes.
- the electrolyte unit may be implemented in a gel form using PEO, PVdF, PMMA, PVAC, or the like.
- the coating part can use a normal polymer resin.
- a normal polymer resin for example, PVC, HDPE or epoxy resin can be used.
- any material that can be bent or bent freely can be used as a coating part while preventing breakage of the actual battery.
- the positive electrode and the negative electrode in the power supply unit 2300 may each include a connector for electrically connecting with the outside.
- the connector is formed to protrude from the power supply unit 2300, and a groove corresponding to the position, size, and shape of the connector is formed in the display unit 110. Accordingly, the power supply unit 2300 may be coupled to the display unit 110 by the combination of the connector and the groove.
- the connector of the power supply unit 2300 may be connected to a power connection pad (not shown) inside the flexible display apparatus 100 to supply power.
- the support 2400 is provided on the other edge of the flexible display apparatus 100.
- the support 2400 may be formed of a flexible material and be bent together with the display 110, and may serve as an axis around which the display 110 is wound when the display 110 is rolled. . Meanwhile, the display 110 may be rolled to wind the power supply 2300 around the axis.
- the power supply unit 2300 may be detachable from one side edge of the flexible display apparatus 100, but this is only an example, and the location and shape of the power supply unit 2400 may vary depending on product characteristics. Can vary.
- the power supply unit 2300 may be mounted on the rear surface of the flexible display apparatus 100. In this case, both sides of the flexible display apparatus 100 may be provided with a separate support part (not shown) which serves as an axis around which the display unit 110 is rolled when rolling.
- the flexible display apparatus 100 according to an exemplary embodiment has been described.
- the flexible display apparatus 100 illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2 is just an example, and the flexible display apparatus 100 may be implemented in various forms.
- FIG. 3 is a diagram for describing various examples of a form in which a flexible display device is rolled according to an exemplary embodiment.
- rolling of the flexible display apparatus 100 may mean that the display unit 110 is rolled.
- FIG. 3A and 3B illustrate an example in which the display unit 110 is rolled in the flexible display apparatus 100 having the main body 2100 having a cylindrical structure. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 3A, the display unit 110, which is out of the main body 2100, may be rolled around the main body 2100. In addition, as shown in FIG. 3B, the display unit 110, which is out of the main body 2100, may be rolled around the grip unit 2200.
- 3C and 3D illustrate another example in which the display unit 110 is rolled in the flexible display apparatus 100 in which the power supply unit 2300 is provided at one edge region.
- the display 110 may be rolled around the support 2400.
- the display unit 110 may be rolled up by winding the power supply unit 2300 as an axis.
- the display 110 may be rolled in various ways. However, this is merely an example, and according to the characteristics of the display 110, it may be rolled on its own without a separate axis.
