Abstract

　ステアリングホイール１の高さ調節時に不快な異音が発生することを防止でき、十分な耐久性と操作の円滑性が確保されたチルトステアリング装置の構造を提供する。本発明のチルトステアリング装置は、緩衝部材２１ｃの調節ロッド１４の中心軸に対して回転対称となる少なくとも２箇所に、カム装置４７の軸方向寸法の拡縮に伴い、被駆動側カム１５ｂが回転した際に、係合凸部３９ｃが上下方向長孔３５ｂの前側縁あるいは後側縁に衝突することなく、被駆動側カム１５ｂの回転を規制するストッパ６５が設けられている。
