Definitions
- the present invention relates to an organic EL (Electro Luminescence) module mainly used as illumination. Moreover, this invention relates to the electric power feeding structure of the organic EL module for using such an organic EL module.
- organic EL Electro Luminescence
- organic EL modules have attracted attention as lighting devices that can replace incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps, and many studies have been made.
- the organic EL module is obtained by applying a sealing structure and a casing to an organic EL device.
- the organic EL device is formed by laminating an organic EL element on a substrate such as a glass substrate, a transparent resin film, or a metal sheet, and forming a power feeding structure for feeding power to the organic EL element.
- an organic EL element makes two electrodes which one or both have translucency oppose, and laminated
- the organic EL device emits light by the energy of recombination of electrically excited electrons and holes. That is, the organic EL module is a self-luminous device and can emit light of various wavelengths by appropriately selecting a material of the light emitting layer.
- the organic EL module has a feature that the thickness is extremely small and light compared to incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, and LED lighting, and light is emitted in a planar shape, so that there are few restrictions on installation locations. Furthermore, since the organic EL module has higher luminous efficiency than incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps, the organic EL module has features that it consumes less power and generates less heat.
- Patent Document 1 As an organic EL device, for example, there is one disclosed in Patent Document 1.
- a transparent electrode layer power supply unit for supplying electricity to a transparent electrode layer has a two-layer structure of a metal foil and a metal paste. As a result, the electrical resistance can be reduced as much as possible by the metal foil, and the contact between the metal foil portion and the transparent electrode can be kept good by the metal paste.
- an electrode is disposed outside the outer edge of the light emitting portion (sealing portion) of the organic EL element.
- This light emitting portion is substantially square in plan view, and a part of the electrode is located outside each of the four sides. More specifically, a part of the anode having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view and a part of the cathode having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction of the outer edge of the light emitting part. ing.
- a part of the cathode is arranged outside each of the two sides continuous with the one side. If a part of the cathode is arranged outside one side of the four sides forming the outer edge of the light emitting portion, the outside of each of the two sides continuous with the one side is arranged. A part of the anode is arranged.
- the organic EL module disclosed in Patent Document 2 includes two wiring boards having a substantially “U” shape in plan view.
- the two wiring boards are arranged in different postures, and are arranged so that the open portions of the “U” shape face different directions. That is, one wiring board is arranged in a posture in which the other wiring board is rotated 90 degrees. Further, the two wiring boards have different sizes, and one wiring board is disposed so as to surround the other wiring board. Therefore, the two wiring boards are not in contact with each other, and one wiring board is in contact with a part of the two anodes arranged outside the outer edge of the light emitting part, and the other wiring board is the light emitting part. It is in contact with a part of two cathodes arranged outside the outer edge.
- the wiring board having a substantially “U” shape in plan view is formed by bending, so that it is processed as compared with the case of cutting out from a plate-like conductor. Loss is reduced.
- the conventional organic EL module has room for further improvement in size reduction.
- one wiring board is located outside the outer edge of the light emitting part, and the other distribution board is located outside the wiring board. .
- the length from the outer edge of the light emitting portion to the outer edge of the entire organic EL module is increased. That is, in the structure of the organic EL module disclosed in Patent Document 2, the size (width and depth) of the organic EL module in the horizontal direction is increased, and thus it is difficult to reduce the size.
- an object of the present invention is to provide an organic EL module that can be further reduced in size. It is another object of the present invention to provide an organic EL module power supply structure for supplying power to such an organic EL module.
- One aspect of the present invention for solving the above problems has a layer structure in which at least a first electrode layer, an organic light emitting layer, and a second electrode layer are laminated on a substrate having a planar spread.
- the organic EL module includes a first power supply member, an insulating layer, a second power supply member, and two or more power supply lines, and the first power supply member and the second power supply member are The first power supply member missing portion and the second power feed member missing portion, which are plate-shaped or foil-shaped and partially missing, are separately formed, and the first power supply member and the second power supply member are formed separately.
- the shape is different from that of the power supply member, and when the first power supply member and the second power supply member are overlapped, at least a part of the first power supply member projects the second power supply member missing portion in the vertical direction. And the second power feeding At least a part of the material is located in a region in which the first power supply member missing portion is projected in the vertical direction, and the first power supply member and the second power supply member are sandwiched between the insulating layers. And one of the power supply lines is connected to the first power supply member through the second power supply member, and the first of the power supply lines is connected to the first power supply line.
- the power feeding member is connected to one of the first electrode layer or the second electrode layer directly or through a conductive member, and the second power feeding member to which the other one of the power feeding lines is connected is directly or
- the organic EL module is connected to the other of the first electrode layer or the second electrode layer via a conductive member.
- the first power supply member and the second power supply member for supplying electricity to the first electrode layer or the second electrode layer of the organic EL device are plate-shaped or foil-shaped, and both The thickness is relatively thin. For this reason, even if the first power supply member and the second power supply member are arranged in an overlapped state, the thickness of the entire organic EL module is not significantly increased, and the organic EL module can be made sufficiently thin.
- a first power feeding member missing portion and a second power feeding member missing portion which are portions where the first power feeding member and the second power feeding member are partially missing, are formed, respectively.
- the shape is different between the two members.
- the organic EL module of this aspect when the first power supply member and the second power supply member are overlapped with the insulating layer interposed therebetween, a part of each member is prevented from overlapping another member.
- the first power supply member and the second power supply member are connected (contacted) to the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer of the organic EL device without increasing the horizontal size (width and depth). Can do.
- the first power supply member and the second power supply member are connected (contacted) to the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, respectively, the first power supply member and the second power supply are to be prevented in order to prevent a short circuit or the like. It is necessary to prevent electrical contact of the members. However, such contact is prevented by arranging the first power supply member and the second power supply member at positions shifted in the horizontal direction, such as arranging the second power supply member inside or outside the first power supply member. In the structure, the organic EL module becomes large in the horizontal direction. On the other hand, in the organic EL module of this aspect, when the first power supply member and the second power supply member are overlapped with the insulating layer interposed therebetween, a part of each member does not overlap with other members.
- the thickness can be sufficiently reduced, and the horizontal size (width and depth) of the organic EL module is set to a necessary minimum size. Therefore, further downsizing is possible.
- the first power supply member missing portion is formed at the outer edge portion of the first power supply member, and at least a part of the second power supply member is outside the edge of the first power supply member. Preferably it is located.
- the second power feeding member missing portion is formed at an outer edge portion of the second power feeding member, and at least a part of the first power feeding member is from an edge of the second power feeding member. It is preferable to be located outside.

Abstract
Description
ここで、透明電極はITO(Indium Tin Oxide)等で形成され、光透過性を有している。
ここで、透明電極はITO(Indium Tin Oxide)等で形成され、光透過性を有している。
