Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Tris(perfluoralkyl)phosphinoxiden und Bis(perfluoralkyl)phosphinsäuren durch Reaktion von Tris(perfluoralkyl)difluorposphoran oder Bis(perfluoralkyl)trifluorposphoran mit Nichtmetalloxiden, Halbmetalloxiden oder organischen Verbindungen mit basischen Sauerstoffresten.
Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Tris(perfluoralkyl)phosphinoxiden und Bis(perfluoralkyl)phosphinsäuren
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von
Tris(perfluoralkyl)phosphinoxiden und Bis(perfluoralkyl)phosphinsäuren durch Reaktion von Tris(perfluoralkyl)difluorposphoran oder
Bis(perfluoralkyl)trifluorposphoran mit Nichtmetalloxiden, Halbmetalloxiden oder organischen Verbindungen mit basischen Sauerstoffresten. Tris(perfluoralkyl)phosphinoxide sind bekannte Ausgangsmaterialien für eine Vielzahl interessanter Verbindungen, beispielsweise für die Synthese von Bis(perfluoralkyl)phosphinsäuren [L. M. Yagupol'skii, V. Y. Semenii et al., J. Gen. Chem. USSR 1984, 54, 692 - 695; V. Y. Semenii, V. A.
Stepanov et al., Zh. Obshch. Khim., 1985, 55, 2716 - 2720; T. Mahmood, J. M. Shreeve, Inorg. Chem., 1986, 25, 3128 - 3131 ; T. Mahmood, J-M. Bao et al., Inorg. Chem., 1988, 27, 2913 - 2916], Bis(perfluoralkyl)phosphin- säureester [WO 2005/049555 A1], Perfluoralkylboraten oder perfluorierten Alkoholen, wie z.B. (C6H5)2C(OH)C2F5 [WO 2003/087020 A1]. R.C. Paul, J. Chem. Soc, 1955, 574-575 beschreibt beispielsweise die Synthese von Tris(trifluormethyl)phosphinoxid durch Erhitzen von
Tris(trifluormethyl)dichlorphosphoran [(CF3)3PCl2] mit einem Überschuss von wasserfreier Oxalsäure. Der Nachteil dieser Synthese ist der relativ schwere Zugang zu Tris(trifluormethyl)dichlorphosphoran.
V. Ya. Semenii et al, Zh. Obshch. Khim, 55, 12, 1985, 2716-2720
beschreibt die Synthese von Tris(perfluoralkyl)phosphinoxiden durch Umsetzung von Difluortris(perfluoralkyl)phosphoranen mit
Hexamethyldisiloxan ([(CHß SikO). Der Nachteil dieser Synthese ist das teure Ausgangsmaterial Hexamethyldisiloxan und die Entstehung des hochentzündlichen Nebenprodukts Trimethylsilylfluorid in doppelt molarer Menge. Bei der Synthese von Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphinoxid kommt
erschwerend hinzu, dass dieses Produkt einen Siedepunkt von 101°C hat und das Ausgangsmaterial Hexamethyldisiloxan einen Siedepunkt von 99- 100°C hat. Die destillative Abtrennung auch von geringen Mengen an Ausgangsmaterial ist daher erschwert.
WO 2011/110281 beschreibt die Darstellung von Tris(perfluoralkyl) - phosphinoxiden durch Reaktion von Tris(perfluoralkyl)difluorphosphoranen mit Erdalkalimetalloxiden, Erdalkalimetallcarbonaten, Zinkoxid, Kupfer(l)- oxid, Kupfer(ll)-oxid, Silberoxid, Quecksilber(ll)-oxid, Cadmiumoxid oder Cadmiumcarbonat. Ein Nachteil dieser Synthese ist die Bildung von
Erdalkalimetall- bzw. Kupferfluorid, die sehr fein verteilt vorliegen, so dass eine Abtrennung durch Filtration erschwert ist. Da alle Reaktionen mit Ausnahme von Quecksilber(ll)-oxid feste Fluoride als Nebenverbindung liefern und diese zum Teil relativ hart sind (z.B. MgF2 mit der Mohs Härte 6), ist eine Verwendung von teflonverkleideten Reaktoren ebenfalls problematisch.
Es ist daher wünschenswert eine wirtschaftlich und großtechnisch umsetzbare Synthese der beschriebenen Phosphinoxide zur Verfügung zu haben, damit diese interessante Klasse der Ausgangsmaterialien oder Perfluoralkylierungsmittel in großen Mengen hergestellt werden können.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist daher ein verbessertes Verfahren zur Herstellung von Tris(perfluoralkyl)phosphinoxiden zu entwickeln, das den
Anforderungen einer großtechnischen wirtschaftlichen Synthese gerecht wird und das die Nachteile des Standes der Technik nicht aufweist.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch ein Verfahren mit den
Merkmalen der Ansprüche 1-13 gelöst.
Überraschenderweise wurde gefunden, dass die als Ausgangsstoffe bekannten Tris(perfluoralkyl)difluorphosphorane bzw.
Bis(perfluoralkyl)trifluorphosphorane in der Lage sind, mit Nichtmetalloxiden wie S02, POCI3, P4Oio, C02, Se02, Halbmetalloxiden wie Si02 (Sand oder Kieselgel als Quelle für Si02) oder organischen Verbindungen mit basischen Sauerstoffresten wie Triphenylphoshinoxid (Ph3PO),
Tetramethylharnstoff, Ethylencarbonat oder Dimethylcarbonat zu reagieren und die gewünschten Phosphinoxide zu erzielen.
Als Nebenprodukte entstehen leicht abtrennbare meist gasförmige
Verbindungen. Manche dieser Nebenprodukte sind interessante
Verbindungen für weitere Anwendungen und können gegebenenfalls vermarktet werden, insbesondere Phosphinsäuren.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von a) Verbindungen der Formel (I)
(CxF2x+1)nP(0)(F)3.n (I),
wobei x 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 oder 12 ist und n = 2 oder 3 ist, oder b) von Verbindungen der Formel (I) und Verbindungen der Formel (II)
(CxF2x+1)2P(O)(OH) (II)
wobei x 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1 1 oder 12 ist,
durch Reaktion von Verbindungen der Formel (III)
(CxF2x+i)nP(F)5-n (IN),
wobei x und n eine der zuvor angegebenen Bedeutungen haben, mit Nichtmetalloxiden, Halbmetalloxiden oder organischen Verbindungen mit basischen Sauerstoffresten, wobei die Reaktion nach b) in Gegenwart von Wasser erfolgt.
Bevorzugt werden Verbindungen der Formel (I) erfindungsgemäß hergestellt, in denen x 2, 3, 4, 5 oder 6 entspricht. Demzufolge sind
Ausgangsmaterialien der Formel (III) bevorzugt, wobei x 2, 3, 4, 5 oder 6 bedeutet.
Ein Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher auch das Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Verbindungen der Formel (III) eingesetzt werden, wobei x 2, 3, 4, 5 oder 6 bedeutet. Besonders bevorzugt werden Verbindungen der Formel (I)
erfindungsgemäß hergestellt, wobei x 2, 4 oder 6 bedeutet,
Besonders bevorzugt werden Verbindungen der Formel (I)
erfindungsgemäß hergestellt, wobei n gleich 3 ist. Ganz besonders bevorzugt werden Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphinoxid oder
Tris(nonafluorbutyl)phosphinoxid hergestellt.
Die Verbindungen der Formel (III) sind kommerziell erhältlich oder können nach bekannten Verfahren hergestellt werden, die dem Fachmann geläufig sind.
Die Herstellung der Verbindungen der Formel (III) können beispielsweise durch elektrochemische Fluorierung geeigneter Ausgangsverbindungen hergestellt werden, wie in V. Ya. Semenii et al, Zh. Obshch. Khim., 55, 12, 1985, 2716-2720, N. Ignatiev et al, J. of Fluorine Chem., 103, 2000, 57-61 sowie der WO 00/21969 beschrieben. Die entsprechenden Beschreibungen werden hiermit als Referenz eingeführt und gelten als Teil der Offenbarung.
Perfluoralkyifluorphosphorane können beispielsweise auch ausgehend von elementarem Phosphor und Perfluoralkyliodiden hergestellt werden, basierend auf der Beschreibung von F.W. Bennett et al, J. Chem. Soc, 1953, 1565-1571 und M. Görg et al, J. Fluorine Chem., 1996, 79, 103-104.
Bevorzugte Verbindungen der Formel (III) werden ausgewählt aus
Tris(pentafluorethyl)difluorphosphoran,
Tris(heptafluorpropyl)difluorphosphoran,
Tris(nonafluorbutyl)difluorphosphoran,
Tris(undecafluorpentyl)difluorphosphoran,
Tris(tridecafluorhexyl)difluorphosphoran.
Bis(heptafluorpropyl)trifluorphosphoran,
Bis(nonafluorbutyl)trifluorphosphoran,
Bis(tridecafluorhexyl)trifluorphosphoran.
Prinzipiell können alle Nichtmetalloxide, Halbmetalloxide oder organische Verbindungen mit basischen Sauerstoffresten in dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren eingesetzt werden. Nichtmetalloxide sind bekanntlich Oxide von Kohlenstoff, Stickstoff, Phosphor oder Schwefel aber auch Selen,
Halbmetalloxiden sind Oxide von Bor, Silizium, Arsen oder Tellur.
Wirtschaftlich interessante Nichtmetalloxofluoride sind COF2, P(O)F3, S(O)F2 Die genannten organischen Oxoverbindungen, sowie die
Nichtmetall- oder Halbmetalloxide, wie zuvor beschrieben, können in equimolarer Menge oder großem Überschuss verwendet werden.
Bevorzugt verwendete Nichtmetalloxiden im Sinne der Erfindung sind SO2, POCI3, P4O10, CO2, SeO2, insbesondere sind SO2, CO2 und SeO2. Ein bevorzugt verwendetes Halbmetalloxid im Sinne der Erfindung ist S>02.
Bevorzugt verwendete organische Verbindungen mit basischen
Sauerstoffresten im Sinne der Erfindung sind Triphenylphoshinoxid
(Ph3PO), Ethylencarbonat oder Dimethylcarbonat, insbesondere
Ethylencarbonat.
Für die Synthese der Verbindungen der Formel (I), wie zuvor beschrieben, ist eine Ausführungsform der Erfindung bevorzugt, bei der Nichtmetalloxide und Halbmetalloxide eingesetzt werden, insbesondere die als bevorzugt genannten Verbindungen. Ein Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher ein Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
Nichtmetalloxide und Halbmetalloxide verwendet werden. Besonders
bevorzugt zu verwenden sind Siliziumdioxid, Selendioxid oder
Schwefeldioxid.
Die Reaktionszeiten können deutlich reduziert werden, wenn geringe Mengen Wasser zugegeben werden. Dabei kann Wasser in einem
Stoffmengenanteil von 0.01 bis 0.8 Äquivalenten zugegeben werden.
Bevorzugt werden 0.1 bis 0.5 Äquivalente Wasser zugegeben. Durch die Zugabe größerer Mengen Wasser, bevorzugt 0.5 bis 1.0 Äquivalente Wasser, reagiert ein Teil des Produktes weiter zu den entsprechenden Bis(perfluoralkyl)phosphinsäuren der Formel (II) und ein Teil des Eduktes zu Tris(perfluoralkyl)trifluorphosphat. Bis(perfluoralkyl)phosphinsäuren können durch Destillation von Tris(perfluoralkyl)phosphinoxiden getrennt werden. Die im erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren eingesetzten Feststoffe sollten vorzugsweise in vermahlenem Zustand eingesetzt werden, damit eine möglichst große Oberfläche zur Reaktion vorhanden ist. Jede Art der Vermahlung ist möglich, beispielsweise die Vermahlung mittels einer Kugelmühle.
Die Feststoffe benötigen keine Art der Trocknung. In der Regel führt der beschriebene Anteil von Wasser zu einer Beschleunigung der Reaktion.
Die Reaktion kann grundsätzlich bei Temperaturen zwischen 80°C und 200°C stattfinden. Werden niedrige Reaktionstemperaturen gewählt, so ist die entsprechende Reaktionszeit länger. Ein Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher auch ein Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Reaktion bei Temperaturen zwischen 25°C und 200°C stattfindet. Bevorzugt wird bei Raumtemperatur gearbeitet, wenn lange
Reaktionszeiten in der Größenordnung von Tagen gewünscht sind.
Bevorzugt erfolgt die Umsetzung bei Reaktionstemperaturen von 50°C bis 180°C, besonders bevorzugt bei Reaktionstemperaturen von 80°C bis 150°C. Die Temperaturangaben des Beispielteils beziehen sich hierbei auf die Reaktionstemperatur des verwendeten Heizmediums.
Die Reaktion kann in einer Glasapparatur oder in einer Apparatur aus Kunststoff (wie z.B. Teflon) oder Stahl durchgeführt werden.
Die Reaktion in der Kunststoffapparatur oder in der Stahlapparatur dauert in der Regel länger.
Bevorzugt wird ohne Lösungsmittel gearbeitet. Es ist jedoch auch möglich, in Gegenwart von Lösungsmitteln zu arbeiten, die inert gegenüber den Verbindungen der Formel (I), (II) und (III) sind, beispielsweise Dialkylether mit Alkylgruppen von 2 bis 4 C-Atomen, beispielsweise Diethylether, Diisopropylether, Dipropylether, Methylbutylether.
Die entstehenden Nebenprodukte sind gasförmig und können leicht abgetrennt werden. Reaktionen, in denen Feststoffe zum Einsatz kamen, können beispielsweise einfach durch Filtration oder Dekantation abgetrennt werden oder im Vakuum abkondensiert oder abdestilliert werden.
Die Isolierung der Produkte ist bei den gasförmigen Reaktanden nicht nötig. Die Nebenprodukte werden bei Verwendung einer Kühlung oberhalb des Siedepunktes der Nebenprodukte stetig ausgetragen. Der Rückstand ist hauptsächlich Produkt.
Die Verbindungen der Formel (I) können jedoch auch durch Kondensation oder Destillation von entstehenden festen Nebenprodukten abgetrennt werden.
Die nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren hergestellten Verbindungen der Formel (I), wie zuvor beschrieben, sind reine Verbindungen und eignen sich in idealer Weiser zur weiteren Umsetzung, insbesondere zur Hydrolyse
mit Wasser zur Herstellung von Bis(perfluoralkyl)phosphinsäuren der Formel (II) und/oder Perfluoroalkylphosphonsäuren.
Auch ohne weitere Ausführungen wird davon ausgegangen, dass ein Fachmann die obige Beschreibung im weitesten Umfang nutzen kann. Die bevorzugten Ausführungsformen und Beispiele sind deswegen lediglich als beschreibende, keineswegs als in irgendeiner Weise limitierende
Offenbarung aufzufassen. Beispiele:
NMR Spektroskopie
NMR Proben werden entweder in einem 5 mm (0A) Glas-NMR-Röhrchen oder in einem 3,7 mm (0A) FEP Inliner bei 25 °C gemessen. Bei
Messungen in FEP wird der Inliner in ein 5 mm (0A) Glas-NMR-Röhrchen eingebracht. Das Lockmittel (CD3CN) befindet sich im Glas-NMR Röhrchen also zwischen Glas und FEP Inliner. Die Messungen erfolgen auf einem 400 MHz Bruker Avance III Spektrometer mit einem 9.3980 T
Kryomagneten und einem 5 mm-BBFO Probenkopf.
1H NMR Spektren werden im H/19F Kanal bei 400.17 MHz gemessen. 13C, 19F und 31 P NMR Spektren wurden m Breitbandkanal bei 100.62, 376.54 und 161.99 MHz gemessen. Die 1H NMR chemischen Verschiebungen werden auf Tetramethylsilan (TMS) bezogen und ergeben für die Lösemittel CDCI3 (7.24 ppm) und CD3CN (1.95 ppm) die in Klammern angegebenen chemischen Verschiebungen. Die 13C chemischen Verschiebungen werden ebenfalls auf TMS bezogen und ergeben für die Lösemittel CDCI3 (77.2 ppm) und CD3CN ( 18.7 ppm) die in Klammern angegebenen chemischen Verschiebungen. Die 19F chemischen Verschiebungen werden auf CFCI3 bezogen und ergeben für die internen Standards C6F6 (-162.9 ppm) oder C6H5CF3 (-63.9 ppm) die in Klammern angegebenen chemischen
Verschiebungen. Die 31 P chemischen Verschiebungen werden auf H3PO4 (85%) bezogen.
Verwendete Chemikalien:
Tris(pentafluoroethyl)difluorophosphoran und Tris(nonafluorobutyl)- difluorophosphoran werden hergestellt wie in WO 00/21969 beschrieben.
Beispiel 1 : Darstellung von Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphinoxid,
(C2F5)3P=0, durch Reaktion von Tris(pentafluorethyl)difluorphos- phoran mit Kohlenstoffdioxid
In einem 100-mL Glasrundkolben werden 12.01 g (28.0 mmol)
Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphoran, (C2F5)3 F2, vorgelegt und erwärmt (120 °C Ölbadtemperatur). Dem Kolben nachgeschaltet ist ein gekühlter (-30 °C bis -35 °C) Intensiv-Rückflusskühler. Über ein zwischengeschaltetes IT- Stück wird ein 250-mL Glasrundkolben mit Trockeneis so angeschlossen, dass gasförmiges CO2 durch die Phosphoranflüssigkeit getrieben wird. Die Flüssigkeit wird 6 h bei 20 °C gerührt. In dieser Zeit werden insgesamt ca. 400 g (9 mol) CO2 durch die heiße Flüssigkeit geblubbert. Nach 6 h wird die Kühlertemperatur bis -5 °C erwärmt. Die zurückgebliebene klare und farblose Flüssigkeit (4.53 g) besteht aus (C2F5)3PF2 (49 %), (C2F5)3P=O (49 %)und (C2F5)2P(O)OH (2 %). Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphinoxid,
Das Produkt, (C2F5)3P=O, wird mittels 19F und 31 P NMR-Spektren charakterisiert.

Beispiel 2: Darstellung von Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphinoxid,
(C2F5)3P=0, durch Reaktion von
Tris(pentafluorethyl)difluorphosphoran mit Siliziumdioxid (Sand)
Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphoran, (C2 5)3PF2, f™* 3-03 9 (50.3 mmol) Löschsand als Si02-Quelle versetzt und erwärmt (120 °C
Ölbadtemperatur). Dem Kolben nachgeschaltet ist ein Intensiv- Rückflusskühler. Die Suspension wird 6 h bei 120 °C gerührt. Es kann ein Umsatz zu (C2F5)3P=0 von 8 % detektiert werden. Die gesamte
Suspension wird für weitere 47 d bei Raumtemperatur stehen lassen, woraufhin der Umsatz zu (C2F5)3P=0 bis 68 % ansteigt. Das
Produktgemisch kann durch Destillation bei Normaldruck oder
Kondensation im Vakuum getrennt werden.
Das Produkt,
wird mittels 19F und 3 P NMR-Spektren charakterisiert und liefert vergleichbare Werte zu Beispiel 1.
Beispiel 3: Darstellung von Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphinoxid, (C2F5)3P=0, durch Reaktion von Tris(pentafluorethyl)difluorphos- phoran mit Siliziumdioxid in Anwesenheit von Wasser
In einem 100-mL Glasrundkolben werden 12.0 g (28.0 mmol)
Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphoran, (C2F5)3PF2, mit 0.30 g (16.7 mmol)
Wasser und 3.19 g (53.1 mmol) Löschsand als Si02-Quelle versetzt und erwärmt (120 °C Ölbadtemperatur). Dem Kolben nachgeschaltet ist ein Intensiv-Rückflusskühler. Die Suspension wird 4 h bei 120 °C gerührt. Es kann vollständiger Verbrauch von (C2F5)3PF2 und Bildung von (C2F5)3P=0 (72.0 %) und (C2F5)2p(0)OH (28.0 %) detektiert werden. Die gesamte
Suspension wird im Vakuum (10-3 mbar) bei Raumtemperatur kondensiert. Es kann klares und farbloses (C2F5)3P=0 (6.27 g; 15.5 mmol; 55 %) in 99 %iger Reinheit isoliert werden. Aus dem festen Rückstand kann durch Extraktion weiteres (C2F5)3P=0 isoliert werden.

Beispiel 4: Darstellung von Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphinoxid,
(C2FS)3P=0, durch Reaktion von Tris(pentafluorethyl)difluorphos- phoran mit Schwefeldioxid
In einem 100-mL Glasrundkolben werden 14.45 g (33.9 mmol)
Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphoran, (C2F5)3PF2, vorgelegt. Dem Kolben nachgeschaltet ist ein gekühlter (-80 °C) Kondensationskühler. Über ein zwischengeschaltetes T-Stück mit angeschlossener Young Falle ist flüssiges S02 (ca. 5 ml_), das langsam in das System entlassen wird. Die Emulsion wird 3 h bei ~0°C gerührt bevor der Intensivkühler langsam bis Raumtemperatur erwärmt wird, um überschüssiges SO2 zu entgasen. Nach dieser Zeit kann (C2F5)3PF2 (99 %)und (C-2F5)3P=0 (1 %) detektiert werden. Am nächsten Tag wird in dieselbe Apparatur erneut S02 einkondensiert und erneut 5 h bei 80 °C gerührt. Nach dieser Zeit kann (C2F5)3PF2 (37 %) und (C2F5)3P=0 (63 %) detektiert werden. Wieder am nächsten Tag wird in
dieselbe Apparatur erneut SO2 einkondensiert und erneut 8 h bei 80 °C gerührt. Nach dieser Zeit kann (C2F5)3PF2 (18 %) und (C2F5)3P=O (82 %) detektiert werden.
Das Produktgemisch kann durch Destillation bei Normaldruck oder
Kondensation im Vakuum getrennt werden.
Das Produkt, (C2F5)3P=0, wird mittels 19F und 31 P NMR-Spektren charakterisiert und liefert vergleichbare Werte zu Beispiel 1.
Beispiel 5: Darstellung von Tris(nonafluorbutyl)phosphinoxid,
0 (C4F9)3P=0, durch Reaktion von Tris(nonafluorbutyl)difluorphos- phoran mit Schwefeldioxid
In einem 00-mL Glasrundkolben werden 15.21 g (20.9 mmol)
Tris(nonafluorbutyl)phosphoran, (C4F9)3PF2, vorgelegt und erwärmt (80 °C Ölbadtemperatur). Dem Kolben nachgeschaltet ist ein gekühlter (-30 °C bis -35 °C) Intensiv-Rückflusskühler. Über ein zwischengeschaltetes T-Stück mit angeschlossener Young Falle ist flüssiges S02 (ca. 5 mL), das langsam in das System entlassen wird. Die Emulsion wird 24 h bei 80°C gerührt bevor der Intensivkühler bis 0 °C erwärmt wird, um überschüssiges S02 zu entgasen. Nach dieser Zeit kann ein Umsatz zu
von 12 % detektiert werden. Es wird erneut S02 (ca. 5 mL) einkondensiert und erneut 14 h bei 120 °C gerührt. Nach dieser Zeit kann ein Umsatz zu (C4F9)3P=0 von 70 % detektiert werden. Eine Trennung von (C4F9)3P=0 und
(C4Fg)3PF2 kann durch Kondensation im Vakuum (10~3 mbar) bei 70 °C erfolgen.
Das Produkt, (C4F9)3P=0, wird mittels 1ÖF und J1P NMR-Spektren
charakterisiert.

Beispiel 6: Darstellung von Tris(nonafluorbutyl)phosphinoxid,
(C4F9)3P=0, durch Reaktion von Tris(nonafluorbutyl)difluorphos- phoran mit Schwefeldioxid in Anwesenheit von Wasser
In einem 100-mL Glasrundkolben werden 14.04 g (19.3 mmol)
Tris(nonafluorbutyl)phosphoran, (C4F9)3PF2, mit 0.28 g (15.5 mmol) Wasser versetzt und erwärmt (120 °C Ölbadtemperatur). Dem Kolben
nachgeschaltet ist ein gekühlter (-30 °C bis -35 °C) Intensiv- Rückflusskühler. Über ein zwischengeschaltetes T-Stück mit
angeschlossener Young Falle ist flüssiges SO2 (ca. 5 mL), das langsam in das System entlassen wird. Die Emulsion wird 7.5 h bei 120 °C gerührt bevor der Intensivkühler bis -5 °C erwärmt wird, um überschüssiges SO2 zu entgasen. Es kann fast vollständiger Verbrauch (98.4 %) von (C4F9)3PF2 und Bildung von (C4F9)3P=0 (78.0 %), (C4F9)2P(0)OH (14.0 %) detektiert werden. Die gesamte Suspension wird im Vakuum (10~3 mbar) bei 75 °C kondensiert. Es kann klares und farbloses (C4F9)3P=0 (8.81 g; 12.5 mmol; 79 %) in 92 %iger Reinheit isoliert werden. Aus dem festen Rückstand kann im Vakuum (10~3 mbar) durch Sublimation bei 75 °C reines, kristallines, klares und farbloses (C4F9)2P(0)OH isoliert werden.
Sowohl (C F9)3P=0 also auch (C4F9)2P(0)OH werden mittels 19F und 31 P NMR-Spektren charakterisiert. Die 19F und 31P NMR-Spektren für
(C4F9)3P=0 liefern vergleichbare Werte zu Beispiel 5.

19F NMR: '81.8 t (6F), 3JF,F = 9 Hz, -121.4 s (4F), -122.4 ci (4F), 2JF,P = 79 Hz, -126.6 s (4F)

Beispiel 7: Darstellung von Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphinoxid,
(C2F5)3P=0, durch Reaktion von
Tris(pentafluorethyl)difluorphosphoran mit Selendioxid
In einem 100-mL Glasrundkolben werden 6.50 g ( 5.3 mmol)
Tris(pentafluorethyl)phosphoran, (C2F5)3PF2, mit 1.43 g (12.9 mmol) Selendioxid, Se02, versetzt und erwärmt (110 °C Ölbadtemperatur). Dem Kolben nachgeschaltet ist ein Intensiv-Rückflusskühler. Die Suspension wird 2 h bei 110 °C gerührt. Es kann vollständiger Verbrauch von
(C2F5)3PF2 und Bildung von (C2F5)3P=0 (94 %) detektiert werden. Durch einfaches Dekantieren kann 4.642 g (11.5 mmol) (C2F5)3P=0 (Ausbeute 89 %) mit einer Reinheit von 94 % isoliert werden.
Das Produkt, (C2F5)3P=0, wird mittels 19F und 31 P NMR-Spektren charakterisiert und liefert vergleichbare Werte zu Beispiel 1.
Beispiel 8: Darstellung von Tris(nonafluorbutyl)phosphinoxid,
(C F9)3P=0, durch Reaktion von
In einem 100-mL Glasrundkolben werden 12.445 g (17.1 mmol)
Tris(nonafluorbutyl)phosphoran, (C4F9)3PF2, mit 2.14 g (19.3 mmol)
Selendioxid, Se02, versetzt und erwärmt (120 °C Ölbadtemperatur). Dem Kolben nachgeschaltet ist ein Intensiv-Rückflusskühler. Die Suspension wird 3 h bei 120 °C gerührt. Nach dieser Zeit kann kein Massenverlust aber vollständiger Verbrauch von (C4Fc,)3PF2 und Bildung von (C4Fg)3P=0 detektiert werden. Die gesamte Suspension wird im Vakuum (10~3 mbar) bei 80 °C kondensiert. Es kann klares und farbloses (C4F9)3P=0 (7.426 g; 10.5 mmol; 62 %) in 87 %iger Reinheit isoliert werden.
Das Produkt, (C4F9)3P=0, wird mittels 19F und 31P NMR-Spektren charakterisiert und liefert vergleichbare Werte zu Beispiel 5.
Beispiel 9: Darstellung von Bis(pentafluorethyl)phosphinylfluoride, (C2F5)2P(0)F, durch Reaktion von Bis(pentafluorethyl)trifluorphos- phoran mit Schwefeldioxid
In einem 100-mL Glasrundkolben mit Tropftrichter und
Kondensationskühler (-80 °C) werden 4.46 g (13.7 mmol)
Bis(pentafluorethy))trifluorphosphoran, (C2F5)2PF3, vorgelegt und auf 0° C gekühlt. Zu dieser klaren und farblosen Flüssigkeit wird S02 (ca. 3 mL) zukondensiert. Die Emulsion wird bis 25° C erwärmt und 2 h bei 25°C und 2 h bei 60° C (Bad Temperatur) gerührt. Anschließend wird der
Kondensationskühler langsam bis Raumtemperatur erwärmt, um
überschüssiges S02 zu entgasen. Der Rückstand enthält (C2F5)2P(0)F, der NMR-spektroskopisch nachgewiesen wird.
Bis(pentafluorethyl)phosphinylfluoride, (C2F5)2P(0)F, wird destillativ aus dem Reaktionsgemisch isoliert.
Das Produkt, (C2F5)2P(0)F, wird mittels 19F und 31 P NMR-Spektren charakterisiert (in CD3CN, δ in ppm):
19F NMR: -81.6 d, m (1 F), VP,F = 1204 Hz, -80.7 m (6F), -123.2 m (4F) 31P NMR: 22.7 d, t, t, 1JF,P = 1204 Hz, 2JF>P = 107 Hz, 2JF,p = 95 Hz
Claims
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel (I)
(CxF2x+i)nP(0)(F)3-n (I)
oder von Verbindungen der Formel (I) und Verbindungen der Formel (II)
(CxF2x+1)nP(0)(OH)3.n (II)
wobei in den Formeln (I) und (II) x 1,
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 oder 12 ist und n = 2 oder 3 ist,
umfassend zumindest die Reaktion von Verbindungen der Formel (III)
(CxF2x+1)nP(F)5-n (III),
wobei x und n eine der zuvor angegebenen Bedeutungen haben, mit Nichtmetalloxiden, Halbmetalloxiden oder organischen
Verbindungen mit basischen Sauerstoffresten, wobei die Reaktion gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von Wasser erfolgt.
Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
Verbindungen der Formel (III) eingesetzt werden, wobei x 2,
3, 4, 5 oder 6 bedeutet.
Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Verbindungen der Formel (II) ausgewählt werden aus Tris(pentafluorethyl)difluorphosphoran, Tris(heptafluorpropyl)difluor- phosphoran, Tris(nonafluorbutyl)difluorphosphoran, Tris(undecafluor- pentyl)difluorphosphoran, Tris(tridecafluorhexyl)difluorphosphoran, Bis(heptafluorpropyl)trifluorphosphoran, Bis(nonafluorbutyl)trifluorphos- phoran und Bis(tridecafluorhexyl)trifluorphosphoran.
4. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Nichtmetalloxide oder Halbmetalloxide verwendet werden.
5. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass SO2, POCI3, P4O10, C02 oder Se02 verwendet wird.
6. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass SO2, CO2 oder Se02 verwendet wird.
7. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Si02 verwendet wird.
8. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Triphenylphoshinoxid (Ph3PO),
Tetramethylharnstoff, Ethylencarbonat oder Dimethylcarbonat verwendet wird.
9. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass n gleich 3 ist.
10. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Verfahren in Gegenwart von Wasser durchgeführt wird.
11. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Verfahren in Gegenwart von organischen Lösemitteln durchgeführt wird.
12. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 11 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Reaktion bei Temperaturen zwischen 25°C und 200°C stattfindet.
13. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Reaktion bei Raumtemperatur stattfindet.
14. Verwendung der nach dem Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 13 hergestellten Verbindungen der Formel (I) zur Herstellung von Bis(perfluora)kyl)phosphinsäuren.
