Abstract
簡素な構成で段差を乗り越えることができる移動体および移動体システムを提供することを課題とする。かかる課題を解決するために、実施形態の一態様に係る移動体(1)は、移動部(20)と、上体部(10)と、制御部(23a)とを備える。移動部(20)は、進行方向に沿って前後に配置された複数個の駆動輪(22、24)を有する。上体部(10)は、移動部(20)に支持され、進行方向についての重心位置を変更可能に設けられる。制御部(23a)は、路面の状態に応じて重心位置を変更させる指示を上体部(10)に対して行う。
Description
開示の実施形態は、移動体および移動体システムに関する。
従来、車輪を用いた移動機構を備え、床面などを走行して移動可能な移動ロボットが知られている。かかる移動ロボットは、たとえば、工場や研究所、オフィスといった多様な場面で、物を運搬したり、ゲストを案内したりといった多様な用途に用いられている。
しかし、往々にして床面などは、たとえば、ケーブルの配線や作業レイアウトの都合などから段差があることも多い。そして、かかる段差の高さが車輪半径を上回る場合、車輪を用いた移動機構がこれを乗り越えることは困難である。
そこで、段差による制限を受けることなく移動することができる移動機構、たとえば、キャタピラを備えたものや、本体に設けられた伸縮自在な脚部の先に車輪を有する脚車輪機構を備えたものが提案されている(たとえば、特許文献1参照)。
しかしながら、従来の移動ロボットには、段差を乗り越えるうえでキャタピラや脚車輪機構のような複雑な機構を要するという点で更なる改善の余地がある。
また、機構が複雑であるがゆえに平常時の移動にも多くの動力を要し、走行効率が低いという問題があった。この点、単に車輪を用いた移動機構は、簡素な構成で、かつ、走行効率も高いが、前述のように、段差の高さが車輪半径を上回る場合にはこれを乗り越えることができない。
なお、かかる課題は、移動ロボットだけでなく、移動体全般に共通する課題である。
実施形態の一態様は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであって、簡素な構成で段差を乗り越えることができる移動体および移動体システムを提供することを目的とする。
実施形態の一態様に係る移動体は、移動部と、上体部と、制御部とを備える。前記移動部は、進行方向に沿って前後に配置された複数個の駆動輪を有する。前記上体部は、前記移動部に支持され、前記進行方向についての重心位置を変更可能に設けられる。前記制御部は、路面の状態に応じて前記重心位置を変更させる指示を前記上体部に対して行う。
実施形態の一態様によれば、簡素な構成で段差を乗り越えることができる。
以下、添付図面を参照して、本願の開示する移動体および移動体システムの実施形態を詳細に説明する。なお、以下に示す実施形態によりこの発明が限定されるものではない。
また、以下に示す実施形態では、移動体が、移動機構を備えた移動ロボットであるものとして説明を行う。また、以下では、「段差面」と記載した場合、段差を形成する側壁面のことを指すものとする。
図1Aは、実施形態に係る移動ロボット1の構成を示す正面模式図である。また、図1Bは、実施形態に係る移動ロボット1の構成を示す側面模式図である。
なお、図1Aおよび図1Bをはじめとする各図では、説明を分かりやすくする観点から、移動ロボット1をごく模式的に示している。このため、前輪22および後輪24(いずれも後述)が躯体部21(後述)から分離してみえるが、実際には連結されている。
また、図1Aおよび図1Bには、説明を分かりやすくするために、鉛直上向きを正方向とするZ軸を含む3次元の直交座標系を図示している。したがって、XY平面に沿った方向は、「水平方向」を指す。かかる直交座標系は、以下の説明に用いる他の図面においても適宜示す場合がある。なお、本実施形態の説明において、移動ロボット1は、X軸の正方向を進行方向として移動するものとする(図1B参照)。
図1Aに示すように、移動ロボット1は、上体部10と、移動部20とを備える。上体部10は、胴体部11と、腰部12とを備える。
移動部20は、躯体部21と、1対の前輪22とを備える。前輪22のそれぞれは、1対1で対応付けられたモータmを有する。モータmは、対応する前輪22をそれぞれ駆動する。したがって、前輪22はいずれも駆動輪である。
また、図1Bに示すように、移動部20は、後輪24を備える。なお、図1Bにはあらわれていないが、後輪24もまた一対備えられている。そして、後輪24もまた、それぞれ1対1で対応付けられたモータmを有しており、かかるモータmによってそれぞれ駆動される。したがって、後輪24もいずれも駆動輪である。すなわち、移動部20は、四輪駆動方式を採っている。
なお、移動部20は、車輪とモータmとが1対1で対応付けられていれば、四輪駆動方式でなくともよい。たとえば、前後輪1輪ずつの二輪駆動方式であってもよいし、前2輪、後ろ1輪などの三輪駆動方式であってもよい。
ここで、図1Aに示すように、モータmのそれぞれは、躯体部21に収容された制御装置23によって個別に制御される(図中の矢印102参照)。なお、制御装置23の配置位置は図示した例に限られるものではなく、たとえば、移動ロボット1とは分離され、無線通信などを介して遠隔制御を行うように配置されてもよい。制御装置23の構成の詳細については、図3を用いて後述する。
また、図1Aおよび図1Bに示すように、躯体部21は、上体部10を腰部12において、腰軸AXyまわりに回動可能に支持する(図1Aの両矢印101参照)。したがって、上体部10全体は、かかる腰部12における腰軸AXyまわりの回動によって、重心位置を変更することが可能である。
なお、腰軸AXyは、上面視した場合に進行方向と略直交する回動軸である。また、腰部12の回動量は、上述の制御装置23によって制御される。かかる点の詳細については、図4を用いて後述する。
そして、図1Bに示すように、実施形態に係る移動ロボット1は、床面501を走行中に車輪半径Rを上回る高さhの段差面502に当接した場合、前述の重心位置を変更しつつ、全駆動輪のスリップ率を制御することによって、前輪22および後輪24を床面501および段差面502へ確実にグリップさせ、段差を乗り越える。
以下、かかる制御の詳細について順次説明してゆく。なお、本実施形態では、一対の前輪22が、同時に段差面502に当接するものとして説明を進める。また、段差面502は、床面501に対して垂直であるものとする。
まず、移動ロボット1を段差越えさせるための基本的な考え方について、図2Aおよび図2Bを用いて説明する。図2Aおよび図2Bは、段差越えの基本的な考え方の説明図である。なお、図2Aには、説明に必要となる前輪22および後輪24をごく模式的に示している。
一般に、車輪を用いた移動機構の場合、車輪半径Rを上回る高さhの段差を乗り越えることは困難である。しかし、ここで、前輪22と段差面502、および、後輪24と床面501を粘着状態に維持できれば、すなわち、前輪22および後輪24がスリップすることなくグリップし続けられれば、段差を乗り越えることが可能となる。
具体的に説明する。まず、移動ロボット1の重量(以下、「車体重量」と記載する)をM、重力加速度をg、車体重量Mに対する前輪22の重量の割合をkとする。また、前輪22および段差面502間の摩擦係数をμf、後輪24および床面501間の摩擦係数をμrとする。
かかる場合、図2Aに示すように、段差面502への押し付け力をFとすれば、「F=μr(1-k)Mg」である。また、段差面502への駆動力をFdとすれば、「Fd=μfF」である。
また、図2Aに示すように、前輪22にかかる荷重Fdfは、「Fdf=kMg」となり、後輪24にかかる荷重Fdrは、「Fdr=(1-k)Mg」となる。
かかる式(1)に基づき、本実施形態では、移動ロボット1を持ち上げるために、車体重量Mに対する前輪22の重量の割合であるk(以下、「パラメータk」と記載する場合がある)を小さくし、摩擦係数μfおよび摩擦係数μrを大きくする「段差越え制御」を行うこととした。
具体的には、本実施形態では、図2Bに示すように、前輪22が段差面502に当接するまで前進し、押し付け力Fを確保したならば、腰部12を腰軸AXyまわりに回動させて胴体部11の傾きを変えることによって上体部10の重心位置を変更する(図中の矢印201参照)。これにより、パラメータkを小さくし、前輪22にかかる荷重Fdfを小さくすることができる。
そして、図2Bに示すように、前輪22および後輪24のスリップ率を適正範囲に収めるように制御することによって摩擦係数μfおよび摩擦係数μrを高く維持し、閉曲線C1および閉曲線C2に囲まれた部分を粘着状態に保ちながら前進して(図中の矢印202参照)、前輪22を持ち上げる(図中の矢印203参照)。
これにより、本実施形態によれば、車輪を用いた簡素な構成で、車輪半径を上回る高さの段差を乗り越えることができる。また、構成が簡素なため、小型化や低コスト化に資するというメリットも得ることができる。
次に、上述の「段差越え制御」を行う制御装置23を含む移動ロボット1のブロック構成について、図3を用いて説明する。図3は、移動ロボット1の構成を示すブロック図である。
なお、図3では、本実施形態の説明にあたり必要な構成要素のみを示しており、一般的な構成要素についての記載を省略している。また、複数個の構成要素については、符号に「-番号」の形式の付番を付しているが、これら複数個の構成要素をまとめて説明する場合には、「-番号」の付番を用いずに符号のみを用いて説明する場合がある。
図3に示すように、移動ロボット1は、上体部10と、移動部20と、制御装置23と、速度検出部25とを備える。
また、上体部10は、重心位置変更機構15を備える。重心位置変更機構15は、上述の腰部12を腰軸AXyまわりに回動させる機構である。また、移動部20は、車輪それぞれに対応したモータmを備える。
また、制御装置23は、段差越え制御部23aと、重心位置変更部23bと、モータmそれぞれに対応したモータ駆動部23cとを備える。
段差越え制御部23aは、段差越え制御に関する全体制御を行う。具体的には、まず、段差越え制御部23aは、段差越え制御を行うにあたり、重心位置変更部23bに対して上述のパラメータkを小さくさせるべく重心位置変更機構15を動作させる指令を生成し、出力する。
重心位置変更部23bは、パラメータkが適正な小さな値となるように腰部12の回動量を決定して、決定した回動量で腰部12を回動させるように重心位置変更機構15に対して指示する。
ここで、重心位置変更部23bの行う処理の詳細について、図4を用いて説明する。図4は、重心位置変更部23bの実行する重心位置制御処理の説明図である。
図4にあらわすように、車体重量Mに対する躯体部21の重量の割合をα、車体重量Mに対する上体部10の重量の割合を(1-α)、車体重心から前輪22までのX軸方向の距離をlf、同じく後輪24までのX軸方向の距離をlr、上体部10の傾きをθ、車体重心から上体部10の重心までの距離をlbとする。また、上述したように、前輪22にかかる荷重はFdf、後輪24にかかる荷重はFdrであるものとする。
したがって、重心位置変更部23bは、かかる式(8)の関係を満たすように、傾きθ(すなわち、腰部12の回動量)を決定すればよい。
図3の説明に戻る。また、段差越え制御部23aは、上述の摩擦係数μfおよび摩擦係数μrを高く維持して、前輪22および後輪24が、段差面502および床面501にスリップすることなく確実にグリップするための制御(以下、「アンチスリップ制御」と記載する)を行う。
段差越え制御部23aは、かかるアンチスリップ制御に基づいてモータmを駆動させる指令を生成し、モータ駆動部23cに対して出力する。なお、かかる指令には、モータmのトルク(駆動力)を制御する制御値が含まれる。
ここで、図5を用いて、段差越え制御部23aにおけるアンチスリップ制御処理の詳細について説明する。図5は、段差越え制御部23aにおけるアンチスリップ制御処理の説明図である。
なお、アンチスリップ制御は、モータmと移動体(ここでは、移動ロボット1)との速度差を示すスリップ率を、実際の移動体の速度(加速度を含む)に基づいて制御するいわゆる「スリップ制御」に含まれる。「スリップ制御」は、公知技術として知られているため、ここでの詳細な説明は省略する。
図5には、スリップ率を横軸に、摩擦係数を縦軸にとった場合に描かれるカーブを示している。図5に示すように、スリップ率と摩擦係数との関係は、スリップ率が大きくなるにつれ、摩擦係数はある程度まで上昇傾向を示すものの、スリップ率が「適正範囲」を過ぎれば、摩擦係数は下降してゆく傾向にある。
このため、一般に、大きな駆動力を得ようとして安易にモータmのトルクを大きくした場合、モータmと移動体の速度差は大きくなりやすい、すなわち、スリップ率が高まりやすいので、図5に示す摩擦係数の低い「滑走状態」に陥りやすい。
したがって、かかる場合、移動ロボット1が段差を乗り越えることは困難である。また、逆に、モータmのトルクを制限し過ぎれば、モータmと移動体の速度差は小さくなるものの、摩擦係数が不足するおそれがある。
そこで、段差越え制御部23aは、速度検出部25から取得する移動ロボット1の速度に基づき、適宜、スリップ率が適正範囲に収まるようにモータmのトルクを制御する制御値を算出して、算出した制御値でモータmを駆動する指令をモータ駆動部23cに対して出力する。
図3の説明に戻る。そして、モータ駆動部23cは、段差越え制御部23aから受け取った指令に含まれる制御値に基づいてモータmを駆動する。
重心位置変更機構15は、重心位置変更部23bから受け取った指示に含まれる腰部12の回動量で実際に腰部12を回動させ、上体部10の重心位置を変更する。モータmは、それぞれ対応する駆動輪(前輪22および後輪24)を駆動させ、実際に移動部20を走行させる。
速度検出部25は、実際の移動ロボット1の速度を適宜検出して、段差越え制御部23aへフィードバックする。
次に、図6を用いて、実施形態に係る移動ロボット1の動作シーケンスについて説明する。図6は、移動ロボット1の動作シーケンスを示すフローチャートである。なお、図6には、主に段差越え時の動作シーケンスを示している。また、前輪22側および後輪24側においてなされる動作制御は略同様であるが、図6にはその双方を示している。
まず、前輪22側から説明する。図6に示すように、移動ロボット1は、前輪22が段差面502へ当接するまで前進して(ステップS101)、段差面502への押し付け力Fを確保する(ステップS102)。
そして、制御装置23の段差越え制御部23aの制御に基づき、上体部10の重心位置を調整する(ステップS103)。
つづいて、段差越え制御部23aの制御に基づき、スリップ率を適正範囲とするべく全駆動輪(すなわち、前輪22および後輪24)をアンチスリップ制御する(ステップS104)。
そして、前輪22および後輪24の駆動力を前述のアンチスリップ制御に基づいて制御しつつ、前進しながら前輪22を持ち上げる(ステップS105)。
次に、後輪24側を説明する。なお、後輪24側の場合、前輪22は、乗り越えた段差上の床面との摩擦係数を維持しながらグリップして駆動することとなる。
図6に示すように、移動ロボット1は、前輪22の場合と同様に、後輪24が段差面502へ当接するまで前進して(ステップS106)、段差面502への押し付け力Fを確保する(ステップS107)。
そして、制御装置23の段差越え制御部23aの制御に基づき、上体部10の重心位置を調整する(ステップS108)。
つづいて、段差越え制御部23aの制御に基づき、スリップ率を適正範囲とするべく全駆動輪をアンチスリップ制御する(ステップS109)。
そして、前輪22および後輪24の駆動力を前述のアンチスリップ制御に基づいて制御しつつ、前進しながら後輪24を持ち上げて(ステップS110)、一連の段差越え動作を終了する。
上述してきたように、実施形態に係る移動ロボット(移動体)は、移動部と、上体部と、段差越え制御部(制御部)とを備える。移動部は、進行方向に沿って前後に配置された複数個の駆動輪を有する。上体部は、移動部に支持され、進行方向についての重心位置を変更可能に設けられる。段差越え制御部は、路面の状態に応じて重心位置を変更させる指示を上体部に対して行う。
したがって、実施形態に係る移動ロボットによれば、簡素な構成で段差を乗り越えることができる。
ところで、上述した実施形態では、上体部の重心位置を変更するにあたり、上体部の腰部を腰軸まわりに回動させることによって、上体部全体へ傾きを与える場合を例に挙げたが、これに限られるものではない。また、移動体が、移動ロボットでなくともよい。
かかる場合の変形例について、図7Aおよび図7Bを用いて説明しておく。図7Aは、変形例に係る移動ロボット1Aの構成を示す側面模式図であり、図7Bは、変形例に係る移動体1Bの構成を示す側面模式図である。
図7Aに示すように、変形例に係る移動ロボット1Aは、上体部10Aにアーム部13を備える。かかる移動ロボット1Aの場合、アーム部13を、たとえばスイングさせることによって(図中の矢印701参照)、上体部10Aの重心位置を変更することができる。
なお、図7Aに示すように、かかるアーム部13の動きと、腰軸まわりの動き(図中の矢印702参照)とを組み合わせて用いてもよい。
また、図7Bに示すように、移動ロボットでなく移動体1Bとして構成し、上体部10Bとしてバランサ30を備えることとしてもよい。かかる場合、これまでと同様にバランサ30に傾きを与えることによって(図中の矢印703参照)、上体部10Bの重心位置を変更することができる。
また、これまでは、傾きを変えることによって重心位置を変更する場合について説明したが、重心位置を変更させるための手法を限定するものではない。たとえば、流体を移動させることによって重心位置を変更してもよい。
また、上述した実施形態では、図1で、モータが車輪のハブ内部に装備されたインホイールモータであるように図示しているが、車輪を駆動させる駆動部の構成を限定するものではない。たとえば、モータに減速ギアを組み合わせて車輪を駆動するような構成であってもよい。
また、上述した実施形態では、床面に対して垂直の段差面を有する段差を乗り越える場合を例に挙げたが、これに限られるものではない。たとえば、傾斜が起伏する凹凸状の床面を移動する場合に適用することとしてもよい。すなわち、移動体は、路面の状態に応じて上体部の傾きを調整しつつ、アンチスリップ制御を行いながら移動すればよい。
さらなる効果や変形例は、当業者によって容易に導き出すことができる。このため、本発明のより広範な態様は、以上のように表しかつ記述した特定の詳細および代表的な実施形態に限定されるものではない。したがって、添付の特許請求の範囲およびその均等物によって定義される総括的な発明の概念の精神または範囲から逸脱することなく、様々な変更が可能である。

- 進行方向に沿って前後に配置された複数個の駆動輪を有する移動部と、
前記移動部に支持され、前記進行方向についての重心位置を変更可能に設けられる上体部と、
路面の状態に応じて前記重心位置を変更させる指示を前記上体部に対して行う制御部と
を備えることを特徴とする移動体。 - 前記移動体の速度を検出する速度検出部
をさらに備え、
前記制御部は、
段差を形成する側壁面である段差面に前記駆動輪を当接させた状態で、前記速度検出部によって検出された速度に基づいて該駆動輪のスリップ率が所定の範囲の値に収まるように調整した駆動力で前記駆動輪を駆動させること
を特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動体。 - 前記上体部は、
前記移動部に対し、上面視した場合に前記進行方向と略直交する回動軸まわりに回動可能に支持されており、

を特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の移動体。 - 前記制御部は、
前記段差面に前記駆動輪を当接させた状態で、該駆動輪によって該段差面へかかる駆動力よりも該駆動輪にかかる荷重が小さくなるように調整された回動量で前記上体部を前記回動軸まわりに回動させること
を特徴とする請求項3に記載の移動体。 - 前記上体部は、
該上体部に対して基端部が回動可能に支持されたアーム部を有しており、
