Abstract
Description
図1は、実施の形態1に係る燃料電池システムを概略的に示すブロック図である。図1に示すように、燃料電池システム100は、燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスとを反応させて発電し、その際に発生する排熱を利用してお湯を生成するシステムである。燃料電池システム100は、電力負荷14、系統電源15および電力供給器200と配線により相互に接続されている。燃料電池システム100は、燃料電池スタック(燃料電池)60を有し、燃料電池スタック60で発電した電力を系統電源15および電力供給器200と連系して電力負荷14に供給する。電力負荷14は、電力を消費する機器であって、たとえば、冷蔵庫やテレビなどの家庭で用いられる電化製品である。
実施形態1の変形例1に係る燃料電池システム100では、燃焼器42を作動する際に(ステップS103)、可燃性ガスの供給量を給電状態より減少させる。これにより、燃焼器42の発熱量が減少し、燃焼排ガスの温度が給電状態より低くなるため、燃焼排ガス流通路の上流側に位置する改質触媒の温度が高くなりすぎることが防止される。また、時間が経過するに伴い、改質触媒、変成触媒や選択酸化触媒の温度が上がり、適温に達することができる。これにより、電気ヒータ50の加熱量が少なくても、各触媒が機能することにより燃料電池システム100の劣化させる状態を回避することができる。
図7は、実施形態1の変形例2に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図7に示すように、燃焼用空気の供給量を給電状態より増大させるようにして、または、可燃性ガスの供給量を給電状態より減少させるようにして、燃焼器42を作動する(ステップS103)。この燃焼器42で加熱された燃焼排ガスにより各触媒が加熱されるが、燃焼排ガス流通路に上流側に位置する改質触媒に比べて、下流側に位置する変成触媒や選択酸化触媒の温度が高くなり難い。このため、燃焼器42の燃焼開始からの経過時間が所定時間に達すると(ステップS104:YES)、電気ヒータ50の加熱量を増大する(ステップS105)。この電気ヒータ50の加熱量を増大させるとは、停止している電気ヒータ50を作動させること、および、ステップS102において給電状態より低くした電気ヒータ50の発熱量を高めることを含む。
図8は、実施形態1の変形例3に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図8に示すように、燃焼用空気の供給量を給電状態より増大させるようにして、または、可燃性ガスの供給量を給電状態より減少させるようにして、燃焼器42を作動する(ステップS103)。この燃焼器42で加熱された燃焼排ガスにより各触媒が加熱されるが、燃焼排ガス流通路に上流側に位置する改質触媒に比べ、下流側に位置する変成触媒や選択酸化触媒の温度は上昇し難い。このため、制御器10は、給電状態より選択酸化部45への空気の供給量を増やすように第2空気供給器47を制御する(ステップS106)。これにより、選択酸化部45において発熱反応である選択酸化反応が盛んに起こり、この反応で生じた熱によって選択酸化部45内の選択酸化触媒の温度が上昇する。そして、燃料処理器41における各触媒を適温になって、一酸化炭素が低減された燃料ガスを生成することができる。
図9は、実施の形態2に係る燃料電池システム100に用いられる燃料処理器41を示す断面図である。図9に示すように、燃料処理器41は、改質部43の温度を検知する第1温度検知器48と、CO低減部(変成部44、選択酸化部45)の温度を検知する第2温度検知器49と、をさらに備えている。なお、第1温度検知器48のみを使用して、第2温度検知器49を設けなくてもよい。また、第2温度検知器49のみを使用して、第1温度検知器48を設けなくてもよい。
図11は、実施形態2の変形例1に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図11に示すように、第1検知温度が第1所定温度以上になれば(ステップS204:YES)、改質触媒は適温に達したため、制御器10は、電気ヒータ50の加熱量を増大する(ステップS1204)。これにより、変成触媒および選択酸化触媒の温度が高まるため、改質触媒だけでなく、変成触媒および選択酸化触媒も適温に達することができる。
図12は、実施形態2の変形例2に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図12に示すように、燃焼排ガス流通路の下流側に位置する変成触媒および選択酸化触媒の温度は、上流側に位置する改質触媒に比べて上がり難い。このため、制御器10は、第2温度検知器49による第2検知温度が第2所定温度以下であるか否かを判定する(ステップS1204)。この第2所定温度は、変成触媒の適温、たとえば、180~300℃、好ましくは、200℃、または、選択酸化触媒の適温、たとえば、100~180℃、好ましくは、170℃に予め設定されている。
図13は、実施形態2の変形例3に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図13に示すように、第2検知温度が第2所定温度以下であれば(ステップS1204:YES)、変成触媒および選択酸化触媒の温度上昇が改質触媒に比べて遅れているため、制御器10は、電気ヒータ50の加熱量を増大する(ステップS1205)。これにより、変成触媒および選択酸化触媒の温度が高まり、燃料処理器41における各触媒を適温にすることができる。
図14は、実施形態2の変形例4に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図14に示すように、制御器10は、第1検知温度が第2検知温度より高く、かつ、第1検知温度と第2検知温度との差が第3所定温度以上であるか否かを判定する(ステップS2204)。この第3所定温度は、改質触媒の適温と変成触媒または選択酸化触媒の適温との差である。
図15は、実施形態2の変形例5に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図15に示すように、第1検知温度が第2検知温度より高く、その差が第3所定温度以上であれば(ステップS2204:YES)、制御器10は、可燃性ガスの供給量を給電状態より減少させる(ステップS2205)。これにより、燃焼排ガスの温度が低くなるため、燃焼排ガス流通路の上流側に位置する改質触媒の過熱を防止しながら、燃焼排ガス流通路の下流側に位置する変成触媒および選択酸化触媒を加熱することができる。したがって、燃料処理器41における各触媒を適温にすることができる。
図16は、実施形態2の変形例6に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図16に示すように、第1検知温度が第2検知温度より高く、その差が第3所定温度以上であれば(ステップS2204:YES)、制御器10は、電気ヒータ50の加熱量を増大する(ステップS1205)。これにより、変成触媒および選択酸化触媒の温度が高まり、燃料処理器41における各触媒を適温にすることができる。
図17は、実施の形態3に係る燃料電池システム100に用いられる燃料処理器41を示す断面図である。図17に示すように、燃料処理器41は、CO低減部(変成部44、選択酸化部45)と熱交換して、改質水から水蒸気を生成する蒸発部51をさらに備える。この蒸発部51は、螺旋状の棒であって、棒の端に改質水供給器5に接続されており、隣接する棒の間に改質水の流路が形成される。蒸発部51は、外筒41bと内筒41cとの間の内側ガス流通路の上部に位置する蒸発空間に配置されている。改質水供給器5から供給された改質水は、蒸発部51を流れている間に、燃焼排ガスにより加熱されて水蒸気になる。この水蒸気は原料供給器4から供給された原料ガスと混合して改質部43に流入して、ここで、燃焼ガスが生成される。
図19は、実施形態3の変形例1に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図19に示すように、第2検知温度が第4所定温度以上であれば(ステップS1304:YES)、変成触媒および選択酸化触媒の温度が高くなっているため、制御器10は、改質水の供給量を増大させる(ステップS1305)。これにより、燃焼排ガス、変成触媒および選択酸化触媒から熱を改質水が奪うため、変成触媒および選択酸化触媒の温度が低下し、各触媒が適温になって、燃料処理器41は、一酸化炭素が低減された燃料ガスを生成することができる。
図20は、実施形態3の変形例2に係る燃料電池システム100における停電状態の起動工程の一例を示すフローチャートである。図20に示すように、制御器10は、第2検知温度が第4所定温度以上になり、第1検知温度が第5所定温度以上になったか否かを判定する(ステップS2304)。この第5所定温度は、改質触媒の適温、たとえば、550℃以上、好ましくは、600~650℃に予め設定されている。
図21は、実施の形態4に係る燃料電池システム100に用いられる燃料処理器41を示す断面図である。図21に示すように、燃料処理器41は、第1脱硫器2に加えて、第2脱硫器3をさらに備える。第1脱硫器2は、原料に含まれる硫黄を水素と反応させずに吸着して硫黄を除去する吸着脱硫器である。第2脱硫器3は、水添脱硫触媒を収容し、原料に含まれる硫黄を水素と反応させた後に吸着することにより原料ガス中の硫黄を除去する水添脱硫器である。第2脱硫器3は、燃料処理器41の改質部43の周りに配置され、高温の改質部43により加熱される。また、第2脱硫器3の周りには電気ヒータ50が配置されており、電気ヒータ50によっても加熱される。なお、変成部44および選択酸化部45を加熱する電気ヒータ50とは別に、第2脱硫器3を加熱する電気ヒータを設けてもよい。
燃料処理器41は、燃焼器42の燃焼によって生成された燃焼排ガスが改質部43を加熱した後にCO低減部44、45を加熱するよう構成されていればよい。たとえば、箱状の容器内に、仕切りが設けられており、その仕切りで区切られた空間に改質触媒、変成触媒および選択酸化触媒がそれぞれ分けて配置されている。

Claims (11)
- 系統電源と連系する燃料電池システムであって、
水素を含む燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスとを反応させて発電を行う燃料電池と、
炭化水素成分を含む原料と改質水とを反応させて前記燃料ガスを生成する改質部と、前記燃料ガス中の一酸化炭素を低減するCO低減部と、を備えている燃料処理器と、
供給された可燃性ガスを燃焼して前記燃料処理器を加熱する燃焼器と、
前記燃焼器に燃焼用空気を供給する第1空気供給器と、
前記CO低減部を加熱する電気ヒータと、
前記電気ヒータに電力を供給する電力供給器と、
前記系統電源から前記燃料電池システムに電力が供給されない停電を検知する停電検知器と、
制御器と、を備え、
前記制御器は、
前記燃料電池の発電前において前記停電検知器が前記停電を検知している停電状態では、
前記停電検知器が前記停電を検知していない給電状態より、前記燃焼用空気の供給量の増大および前記可燃性ガスの供給量の減少のうちの少なくとも一方を行い、かつ、前記電気ヒータの加熱量を低減させるように構成されている、燃料電池システム。 - 前記改質部の温度を検知する第1温度検知器をさらに備え、
前記制御器は、
前記第1温度検知器による第1検知温度が第1所定温度以上である場合には、
前記燃焼用空気の供給量を増大させる、または、
前記電気ヒータの加熱量を増大させる、
ように構成されている、請求項1に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記CO低減部の温度を検知する第2温度検知器をさらに備え、
前記制御器は、
前記第2温度検知器による第2検知温度が第2所定温度以下である場合には、
前記燃焼用空気の供給量を増大させる、または、
前記電気ヒータの加熱量を増大させる、
ように構成されている、請求項1または2に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記改質部の温度を検知する第1温度検知器と、
前記CO低減部の温度を検知する第2温度検知器と、をさらに備え、
前記制御器は、
前記第1温度検知器による第1検知温度が前記第2温度検知器による第2検知温度より高く、かつ、前記第1検知温度と前記第2検知温度との差が第3所定温度以上である場合には、
前記燃焼用空気の供給量の増大、前記可燃性ガスの供給量の減少、および前記電気ヒータの加熱量の増大のうちの少なくとも一つを行うように構成されている、請求項1~3のうちのいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記制御器は、
前記燃焼器が燃焼を開始してからの経過時間が所定時間に達した場合には、
前記電気ヒータの加熱量を増大させるように構成されている、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記改質部の温度を検知する第1温度検知器と、
前記CO低減部の温度を検知する第2温度検知器と、
前記改質水を前記燃料処理器へ供給する水供給器と、
前記CO低減部と熱交換して、前記改質水から水蒸気を生成する蒸発部と、をさらに備え、
前記第2温度検知器による第2検知温度が第4所定温度未満である場合には、
前記制御器は、前記給電状態より前記改質水の供給量を低減させるように構成されている、請求項1~5のうちのいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記制御器は、
前記第2検知温度が前記第4所定温度以上である場合には、
前記改質水の供給量を増やすように構成されている、請求項6に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記制御器は、
前記第2検知温度が前記第4所定温度以上であり、かつ、前記第1温度検知器による第1検知温度が第5所定温度以上である場合には、
前記改質水の供給量を前記給電状態に戻すように構成されている、請求項6または7に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記CO低減部は、一酸化炭素と水とを反応させて一酸化炭素を低減する変性部と、一酸化炭素と酸素とを反応させて一酸化炭素を低減する選択酸化部と、を備えており、
前記選択酸化部へ空気を供給する第2空気供給器をさらに備え、
前記制御器は、前記給電状態より前記選択酸化部への空気の供給量を増やして前記第2空気供給器に前記空気を供給させるように構成されている、請求項1~8のうちのいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記原料に含まれる硫黄を水素と反応させずに除去する第1脱硫器と、
前記原料に含まれる硫黄を水素と反応させて除去する第2脱硫器と、をさらに備え、
前記電気ヒータは、前記CO低減部と共に、前記第2脱硫器を加熱し、
前記制御器は、前記給電状態より、前記第2脱硫器による前記硫黄の除去量に対する前記第1脱硫器による前記硫黄の除去量の割合を増やすように構成されている、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記燃料処理器は、前記燃焼器の燃焼によって生成された燃焼排ガスは、前記改質部を加熱した後に、前記CO低減部を加熱するように構成されている、請求項1~10のうちのいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池システム。
