Abstract

L'invention concerne un projectile d'exercice de gros calibre (1) comportant une partie ogive (3) massive et un corps d'empennage (5) tubulaire dans le prolongement arrière de la partie ogive (3). L'invention vise à assurer la résistance au tir de ce projectile de manière économique. A cet effet, le corps d'empennage (5) est conçu de sorte que les gaz de charge propulsive dégagés lors du tir du projectile d'exercice agissent également sur la face externe (6) de la paroi latérale (7) du corps d'empennage (5) tubulaire. Afin d'éviter que les gaz de charge propulsive ne s'écoulent sur la face externe du projectile d'exercice (1) à l'intérieur du canon de l'arme, un système d'étanchéité (8) est prévu dans la zone de la partie ogive (3) massive du projectile d'exercice (1), la face externe (9) de la partie ogive (3) présentant une zone (10) périphérique conçue comme surface d'étanchéité dont le diamètre externe est choisi de façon que la partie ogive (3) forme elle-même le système d'étanchéité (8) dans cette zone (10) lors du tir du projectile d'exercice (1).
