- a method for manufacturing a pant-type diaper is proposed in which the diaper body is folded at the crotch portion and the side panel of the front portion and the side panel of the back portion are joined to each other (see Patent Document 1).
- Patent Document 1 pants are formed by sealing the side of an elastic film (film) side panel.
- film elastic film
- Such elastic film-like material has low stretchability.
- the elastic film-like material is expensive. Therefore, it becomes a factor that increases the product cost (cost).
- Patent Document 2 does not disclose any material for forming the side panel.
- an object of the present invention is to reduce the cost of the pant-type diaper and improve the stretchability of the side panel.
- the diaper of the present invention is A front part covering the abdomen side of the wearer, a back part covering the back side of the wearer, and a diaper body having a crotch part between the front part and the back part; One side panel that connects one side edge of the front part and one side edge of the back part in the waistline direction; Another side edge portion that is separated from the one side edge portion of the front portion in the waistline direction and another side edge portion that is separated from the one side edge portion of the back portion in the waistline direction are the waistline direction.
- a pants-type diaper provided with another side panel, wherein each of the side panels is It includes a thread-like elastic member that is continuous in the waistline direction and extends in the waistline direction, and a pair of webs that sandwich the elastic member.
- the thread-like elastic member includes a rubber thread and a hot melt resin, and is a member that extends greatly and can shrink to the original length or a length close to the original length.
- the side panel is formed by sandwiching a thread-like elastic member between a pair of webs. Therefore, the cost is lower than that of a conventional diaper using an elastic film. Further, the thread-like elastic member is easily expanded and contracted as compared with the elastic film. Therefore, the fit feeling is improved.
- the method of the present invention includes a step of transporting the diaper body in a longitudinal direction orthogonal to the waistline direction; A first folding step of folding each side panel along a virtual first line extending in the vertical direction so that the first part and the second part of each side panel overlap each other; A first joining step for joining the first end of each side panel in the waistline direction to each side edge of the front part or each side edge of the back part; A second folding step of folding the diaper main body along a virtual second line extending in the waistline direction so that the front portion and the back portion overlap each other; Second side separated from the first end of each side panel in the waistline direction on each side edge of the back portion or front side where the side panel is not joined in the first joining step.
- the manufacturing method of the underpants type diaper provided with the 2nd joining process of joining an edge part.
- the side panel folded in advance is joined to the front portion and the back portion. Therefore, unlike the case of joining two side panels joined to the front part and the back part, there is no joined part where the side panels are joined. Therefore, the joint portion does not protrude outward when worn. As a result, the appearance is good. Further, there is no joint between the side panels. Therefore, even when the wearer lies down, the joint portion does not hit the wearer's waistside portion. Therefore, a feeling of wearing is good.
