(Tube-coated sample) was obtained. Then, the tube-coated sample was fixed to a tensile jig, and the storage elastic modulus (E ′), loss elastic modulus (E ′′), and loss tangent value (tan ⁇ ) were measured under the following measurement conditions.
- the relaxation elastic modulus of the optical fiber colored core wire 1 was measured using a tube coating sample comprising a coating layer 9 including the colored layer 5. The measurement conditions were a temperature range of ⁇ 20 ° C. to 170 ° C. and 5 ° C. steps.
- Polarization mode dispersion is measured by dropping an optical fiber ribbon 6 into a slot for an optical fiber cable and winding a press-wound tape around the outer circumference of the drum (with a diameter of 800 cm) (before the sheath). - the average of the two central lines (2, 3 core wires) was defined as the polarization mode dispersion value.
- the polarization mode dispersion value is desired to be 0.1 ps / ⁇ km or less in order to cope with an increase in communication capacity in wavelength division multiplexing communication. Therefore, when the polarization mode dispersion value is recognized to be 0.1 ps / ⁇ km or less, the result is shown as “A” in Table 1. Abstract
