Abstract

 本発明は、接合精度が要求されるシールリップ部を備えたシール部材の接合に適した接合方法である。 このため、シール本体の端部に接着剤を塗布し、前記シールリップ部を受け入れるリップ溝を形成した下側冶具上に載置する工程と、前記下側冶具との間で押え冶具により前記シール本体を挟持する工程と、前記下側冶具に向かって移動可能に、押し冶具を前記シール本体に固定する工程と、前記押し冶具を前記下側冶具の前記他方の側面に向かって、前記両端部が当接するまで前記シール本体と共に移動させる工程と、前記両端部が当接した接合箇所を含む近傍の前記シール本体全体を覆う様に上側冶具を前記下側冶具に固定する工程と、前記冶具を加熱して前記接合箇所を加熱接着する工程と、前記接合されたシール本体を前記冶具から取り出す工程とより成る構成とした。

Description

シール接合方法及びシール部材
 本発明は、シール接合方法及びシール部材に関する。
 また、本発明は、紐状に成形したシール本体からシール部材を製作する為のシール接合方法及びシール部材に関する。
 また、本発明は、風力発電等に使用される大型のシール部材を押し出し成形により紐状に成形した後、紐状に成形したシール本体の両端部を接合して製作するシール接合方法及びシール部材に関する。
 従来、紐状に押し出したゴム体の両端部に未加硫ゴム層を残しておき、一方のゴム体を拘束しているクランプ部を他方のゴム体に向かって移動させ、両端部の未加硫ゴム層を当接させた後、モールド部で未加硫ゴム層を覆い、加圧及び加熱により未加硫ゴムを加硫して接合する方法が行われていた。(特許文献1)
 しかし、ゴム体の両端部に未加硫ゴム層を残して紐状のシール本体を成形することは困難で有った。
 更に、ゴム体の両端部は自由状態(何等のガイド部材が存在しない状態)で両端部の未加硫ゴム層を当接させている為、接合面を精度良く当接させる事が困難で有った。
 この為、風力発電等に使用される大型のシール部材の様に、シールリップ部を備えたシール部材の接合には不向きで有った。
 更にまた、加圧機構を設けると共に、加熱板をモールド部とは別に設けたりしなければならず、装置全体が大型化せざるを得ない為、風力発電等に使用される大型のシール部材の様に、高所の現場で使用する用途には適していなかった。

 本発明は、このような課題に鑑みてなされたものであり、接合精度が要求されるシールリップ部を備えたシール部材の接合に適した接合方法であると共に、高所の現場で使用する用途に適したシール接合方法及びシール部材を提供することである。
 本発明に係るシール接合方法は、シールリップ部を備えたゴム状弾性材製紐状シール本体の端部に接着剤を塗布し、前記両端部を近接させた状態で、前記シールリップ部を受け入れるリップ溝を形成した下側冶具上に載置する工程と、前記下側冶具の一方の側面側であって、前記下側冶具との間で押え冶具により前記シール本体を挟持する工程と、前記下側冶具の他方の側面から一定の間隙を保って、前記下側冶具に向かって移動可能に、押し冶具を前記シール本体に固定する工程と、前記押し冶具を前記下側冶具の前記他方の側面に向かって、前記両端部が当接するまで前記シール本体と共に移動させる工程と、前記両端部が当接した接合箇所を含む近傍の前記シール本体全体を覆う様に上側冶具を前記下側冶具に固定する工程と、前記冶具を加熱して前記接合箇所を加熱接着する工程と、前記接合されたシール本体を前記冶具から取り出す工程とより成ることを特徴とする。
 また、本発明に係るシール部材は、上記シール接合方法により得られることを特徴とする。
 本発明は、以下に記載されるような効果を奏する。
 請求項1記載の発明のシール接合方法によれば、接合精度が要求されるシールリップ部を備えたシール部材の接合に適した接合方法であると共に、高所の現場で使用する用途に適している。
 また、請求項2記載の発明のシール接合方法によれば、複数本のシールリップ部を備えたシール部材であっても、精度良く接合する事が出来る。
 更に、請求項3記載の発明のシール接合方法によれば、シールリップ部に変形応力を作用させない為、シールリップ部を精度良く接合する事が出来る。
 更に、請求項4記載の発明のシール接合方法によれば、冶具への接着剤の付着が防げる為、接合面の仕上がりが良好で有るばかりでなく、シール部材を冶具から取り出すのが容易である。
 更に、請求項5記載の発明のシール接合方法によれば、紐状シール本体の両端部を確実に接合出来る。
 更に、請求項6記載の発明のシール接合方法によれば、高所での作業を安全に行う事が出来る。
 更に、請求項7記載の発明のシール部材によれば、シールリップ部が精度良く接合された、シール性能が良好なシール部材が提供出来る。
 更に、請求項8記載の発明のシール部材によれば、高所での作業を伴う風力発電用の大型シール部材に好適に用いる事が出来る。

 以下、本発明を実施するための形態について説明する。
 図1乃至図10に基づき考案を実施するための形態について説明する。
 図10に示す様に、この種シール接合方法は、最初に、シールリップ部11、11を備えたゴム状弾性材製紐状シール本体10、10の端部12、12に接着剤を塗布し、ついで、この両端部12、12を近接させた状態で、図1乃至図5に示す、シールリップ部11、11を受け入れるリップ溝211、211を形成した下側冶具21上に載置する。
 この時の両端部12、12間の間隙は、2mm程度あり、接合工程前に両端部12、12に塗布した接着剤が互いに接触して、イレギュラーな接触をして接着力の低下を来さない為である。
 またシール本体10、10を下側冶具21上に載置する前に、接着剤を乾燥させておく事が好ましい。
 図1乃至図5は、上側冶具23及び押え冶具24を下側冶具21に取り付けた状態で示しているが、シール本体10、10を下側冶具21上に載置する段階では、上側冶具23及び押え冶具24が下側冶具21から取り外された状態で行われる。
 下側冶具21は、加熱ヒータが取り付けられる加熱ヒータ用挿入孔217と押し込みボルト3が螺合する押し込みボルト用ネジ穴218とが形成された第1の下側冶具214と、熱電対2が取り付けられる熱電対用挿入孔215を備え、第1の下側冶具214及び上側冶具23とによりシールリップ部11、11を受け入れる為のリップ溝211、211を形成している第2の下側冶具216とより構成されている。そして、この第1の下側冶具214及び第2の下側冶具216は図示しないボルト手段により一体化されている。
 ついで、図1に示す様に、下側冶具21の一方の側面212側(図上左側)であって、下側冶具21との間で押え冶具24によりシール本体10を挟持する。
 この押え冶具24は、図3から判る様に、シール本体10のシールリップ部11、11を受け入れる為のリップ溝211、211から外れた、ハウジング側に保持されるシール本体10の保持部13を受け入れる為の保持部溝219を区画する構成としている。
 この押え冶具24を下側冶具21側に図示しないボルト手段により固定する事により、紐状シール本体10、10の一方のシール本体10(図上左側)の下側冶具21上での移動を阻止する。
 ついで、図8に示す様に、下側冶具21の他方の側面213(図上右側)から一定の間隙を保って、下側冶具21に向かって移動可能に、押し込みボルト3が、押し冶具22を貫通して、下側冶具21に形成した押し込みボルト用ネジ穴218に螺合している。
 この押し込みボルト3を回転させる事により、押し冶具22を下側冶具21に向かって移動させる事が出来る為、図9に示す様に、押し冶具22をシール本体10に固定した後、
押し冶具22を下側冶具21の他方の側面213に向かって、紐状シール本体10、10の両端部12、12が当接するまでシール本体1と共に移動させる事が出来る。
 この移動を円滑にする為に、ガイドピン4の一端が下側冶具21に固定され、他端が押し冶具22に設けたバカ孔に挿通されて、押し冶具22の円滑な移動を補助している。
 取付段階における、この押し冶具22と下側冶具21との間隙は10mm程度あり、両端部12、12間を接合するのに十分な移動距離を確保している。
 この押し冶具22は、図6及び図7に示す様に、押し込みボルト3が貫通する押し込みボルト用貫通孔221を形成した第1の押し冶具222と、第1の押し冶具222と共にリップ溝211を形成している第2の押し冶具223と、押え冶具24と同様に、シール本体10のシールリップ部11を受け入れる為のリップ溝211から外れた、ハウジング側に保持されるシール本体10の保持部13を受け入れる為の保持部溝219を区画する構成を備えた第3の押し冶具224とより構成されている。
 この押し冶具22のシールリップ部11を除くシール本体1と接する表面は、サンドブラスト等により荒らされた表面となっている。
 この事により、押し冶具22を下側冶具21に向かって移動させる際、押し冶具22とシール本体10との間で滑りが起きない為、紐状シール本体10、10の両端部12、12を確実に当接させる事が出来る。押し冶具22の表面を荒らす代わりに、サンドペーパ等の滑り防止手段を押し冶具22と紐状シール本体10、10との間に介在させても有効である。
 ついで、図1、図9及び図10に示す様に、両端部12、12が当接した接合箇所13を含む近傍のシール本体10全体を覆う様に上側冶具23を下側冶具21に固定する。
 ついで、下側冶具21に挿入した加熱ヒータにより冶具21、23全体を150℃で30分間加熱する。
 また、加熱状態は、下側冶具21に挿入した熱電対2により確認する。
 この事により、接合箇所13を加熱接着する事が出来る。
 最後に、接合されたシール本体1を冶具21、22、23から取り出す事により、図12に示すシール部材1が得られる。
 この事により、接合精度が要求されるシールリップ部11を備えたシール部材1の接合を精度よく達成出来ると共に、風力発電用の大型シール部材1の様に、高所の現場で使用する用途に適している。
 この為、各冶具21、22、23の構成部品を一体化する為のボルトが落下しない様に、
各構成部品に設けたネジ穴に螺合させたボルトと相互にワイヤーで連結させておく事により、ボルトの落下を防いでいる。
 また、ゴム状弾性材製紐状シール本体10、10の端部12、12に塗布した接着剤は、ポリオレフィン系の接着剤で有るが、他の接着剤も適宜選択して用いられる。
 本発明の実施態様のシール部材は、図12に示す様に、シールリップ部11、11が、内周側に向かって伸びる2本の対象形状を呈している。
 本発明のシール接合方法によれば、この様な複数本のシールリップ部11、11を備えたシール部材1であっても、精度良く接合する事が出来る。
 また、押え冶具24及び押し冶具22は、シールリップ部11、11以外のシール本体1の保持部13を挟持する構成としている為、シールリップ部11、11に変形応力を作用させない為、シールリップ部11、11を精度良く接合する事が出来る。
 更に、下側冶具21及び上側冶具23の接合箇所13近傍のシール本体1と接する表面にフッ素樹脂皮膜を設けている。
 この為、冶具への接着剤の付着が防げる為、接合箇所13の仕上がりが良好で有るばかりでなく、シール部材1を冶具から取り出すのが容易である。
 上記接合方法によって得られたシール部材1は接合箇所13の仕上がりが良好である為、良好なシール性能が長期に渡って維持出来る。
 また、高所での作業が余儀なくされる風力発電用の大型シール部材1として特に有用である。
 また、本発明は、上述の発明を実施するための形態に限らず本発明の要旨を逸脱することなくその他種々の構成を採り得ることはもちろんである。
 風力発電等に使用される大型のシール部材の接合部のシール接合方法及びシール部材に好適に用いられる。

Claims (8)

  1.  シールリップ部(11)、(11)を備えたゴム状弾性材製紐状シール本体(10)の端部(12)、(12)に接着剤を塗布し、前記両端部(12)、(12)を近接させた状態で、前記シールリップ部(11)、(11)を受け入れるリップ溝(211)を形成した下側冶具(21)上に載置する工程と、前記下側冶具(21)の一方の側面(212)側であって、前記下側冶具(21)との間で押え冶具(24)により前記シール本体(10)を挟持する工程と、前記下側冶具(21)の他方の側面(213)から一定の間隙を保って、前記下側冶具(21)に向かって移動可能に、押し冶具(22)を前記シール本体(10)に固定する工程と、前記押し冶具(22)を前記下側冶具(21)の前記他方の側面(213)に向かって、前記両端部(12)、(12)が当接するまで前記シール本体(1)と共に移動させる工程と、前記両端部(12)、(12)が当接した接合箇所(13)を含む近傍の前記シール本体(10)全体を覆う様に上側冶具(23)を前記下側冶具(21)に固定する工程と、前記冶具(21)、(23)を加熱して前記接合箇所(13)を加熱接着する工程と、前記接合されたシール本体(1)を前記冶具(21)、(22)、(23)から取り出す工程とより成ることを特徴とするシール接合方法。
  2.  前記シールリップ部(11)、(11)が、内周側に向かって伸びる2本の対象形状を呈していることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシール接合方法。
  3.  前記押え冶具(24)は、前記シールリップ部(11)、(11)以外の前記シール本体(1)の一部を挟持していることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のシール接合方法。
  4.  前記下側冶具(21)及び前記上側冶具(23)の前記接合箇所(13)近傍の前記シール本体(1)と接する表面にフッ素樹脂皮膜を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1~3いずれか一項記載のシール接合方法。
  5.  前記押し冶具(22)の前記シール本体(10)と接する表面に滑り止め手段が施されていることを特徴とする請求項1~4いずれか一項記載のシール接合方法。
  6.  前記下側冶具(21)、前記上側冶具(23)及び前記押し冶具(22)の固定に使用される各々のボルトに落下防止手段が施されていることを特徴とする請求項1~5いずれか一項記載のシール接合方法。
  7.  請求項1~6の何れか一項記載の接合方法によって得られた事を特徴とするシール部材。
  8.  前記シール部材が風力発電用の大型シール部材(1)であることを特徴とする請求項7記載のシール。
