Definitions
- the present invention relates to a headlamp device provided in an automobile, and more particularly to a structure for mitigating the impact received by a pedestrian or the like when the pedestrian or the like collides with a running automobile.
- the front hood that forms the front part of an automobile is deformed to some extent when the pedestrian's head collides and absorbs the collision load, thereby suppressing damage to the pedestrian's head.
- a pedestrian head protection standard that defines the impact mitigation performance of the front hood has been introduced, and the front hood satisfies this standard, that is, the HIC value (Head Injury Criteria, head injury value) within a predetermined evaluation area. Is required to be less than or equal to a predetermined value.
- headlamp devices tend to be larger, and those with a continuous surface shape from the front hood are increasing. That is, the surface of the headlamp device together with the front hood has substantially constituted the upper surface of the front part of the automobile. For this reason, the necessity of satisfying the pedestrian head protection standard has arisen for a part of the headlamp as well as the front hood.
- a headlamp housing that constitutes a headlamp device is proposed to have an impact absorbing portion that is formed in a rear-side open sectional shape and is provided with a plurality of ribs therein. (See Patent Document 1).
- the headlamp device such a structure, the impact force when a pedestrian or the like collides with the automobile is absorbed by the deformation of the impact absorbing portion, and the impact force received by the pedestrian can be reduced.
- the mounting portion for attaching the headlamp device (headlamp housing) to the vehicle body has sufficient rigidity.
- the impact absorbing portion that absorbs the impact force by deformation preferably has a relatively low rigidity.
- Patent Document 1 a rib is set inside the shock absorbing portion in order to ensure the rigidity of the mounting portion, but if the rigidity of the rib is too high, the rib itself prevents deformation of the shock absorbing portion. There is a fear. On the other hand, if the rigidity of the rib is low, the rigidity of the mounting portion cannot be ensured, so that setting the balance becomes difficult. In addition, it is considered that providing the rib makes the structure complicated and costly.
- the present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and has a simple structure with reduced costs, and effectively reduces the impact force that pedestrians receive during a collision while sufficiently securing the rigidity of the mounting portion.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a headlamp device that can be used.
