Definitions
- the present invention relates to a slide fastener, and more particularly to a slide fastener having waterproofness.
- a plurality of fastener elements are formed at opposite edges of a pair of left and right waterproof fastener tapes, and a synthetic resin material is injection-molded to form a pair of left and right fastener stringers, and the left and right fastener elements are engaged and released between the left and right fastener stringers.
- a waterproof slide fastener is known in which a slider is slidably inserted, and a bottom stop is attached to the lower end of the fastener element and a top stop is attached to the upper end by injection molding of a synthetic resin material.
- a technique for injection molding the bottom stop with a synthetic resin material is disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 02-107309.
- each fastener element has a meshing head, a base, a neck connecting the meshing head and the base, and a pair of shoulders extending in a blade shape from both side surfaces of the neck
- the meshing head includes two front and back protrusions that protrude from opposite edges of the fastener tape.
- Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2007-215819 discloses a technique of sealing the region between the lowermost fastener element and the bottom stop with a waterproof sheet member.
- a technique for improving the waterproof property around the bottom stop by covering the fastener element at the lower end with the bottom stop during injection molding of the bottom stop is also known.
- the sheet member may be peeled off after long-term use.
- the molten resin leaks upward from the mold due to the pressure during injection molding from the gap between the two engagement heads on the front and back of the engagement head of the fastener element.
- the mold in order to completely prevent the leakage of hot water from the mold during the injection molding of the bottom stop, the mold must be manufactured with high accuracy, and in this case, the manufacturing cost of the slide fastener becomes excessively high.
- the present invention provides a slide fastener capable of improving the waterproof property near the bottom end in an advantageous manner in terms of cost.
- the present invention is a slide fastener having a waterproof structure, and a plurality of fasteners arranged in line along opposing edges of a pair of right and left waterproof fastener tapes.
- Each fastener element includes a pair of left and right fastener stringers having elements, a slider for engaging and releasing between the left and right fastener elements, and a bottom stop formed across the left and right fastener tapes at the lower end of the fastener element row.
- the bottom cover covers at least the entire lower half of the first fastener element at the lowermost end or near the lowermost end and at least a part of the second fastener element adjacent to the upper side of the first fastener element, the first fastener element And the second fastener element are fixed in an engaged state by a bottom stop, and the liquid-tightness between the first and second fastener elements is maintained.
- the recessed part recessed from the upper side of a bottom stop is provided. For this reason, even if there is some leakage of hot water from the mold for bottom molding, it remains in the recess and does not adversely affect the manufacture of the slide fastener.
- the bottom stop is formed by injection molding of thermoplastic resin such as polyacetal, polyamide, polypropylene, polybutylene terephthalate, nylon, polycarbonate, etc., or polyurethane, polyester, polyamide or vinyl chloride thermoplastic elastomer. Can be done.
- the fastener element can be formed, for example, by injection molding a thermoplastic resin such as polyacetal, polyamide, polypropylene, polybutylene terephthalate, nylon, or polycarbonate.
- At least a part of the shoulder portion above the first fastener element may be disposed in the recess. In this way, by forming the recess of the bottom stop so that at least a part of the upper shoulder portion of the first fastener element is applied, it is possible to keep hot water leaking from the mold for bottom stop in the recess. .
- the bottom stop covers the first fastener element except for an upper side portion of the meshing head, covers a lower side portion of a base portion of the second fastener element, and the concave portion.

- the recess recessed from the upper side of the bottom stop is provided, the amount of hot water leakage from the bottom mold to the fastener element row direction can be reduced, and the slide fastener manufacturing is not adversely affected. . Moreover, since there is little amount of hot water leak, a hot water leak stays in a recessed part. Therefore, it is not necessary to use a highly accurate and expensive mold. In addition, since the upper part of the meshing head of the first fastener element and the meshing head and the lower part of the neck of the second fastener element are in mesh in the recess, the liquid tightness between them is maintained. It is. Accordingly, the waterproof property near the bottom stop can be improved in terms of cost.
