図1に示すように、本第1実施形態における電動工具1は、作業者が把持するハンドル部2と、ハンドル部2の長手方向一端側に設けられた工具本体部3とを備え、工具本体部3に電動モータ(図示せず。)が収納されている。
電池パック10の装着部11は、図3Aに示すように、立方体状の電池パック10の上面部に設けられており、この装着部11を充電器20又は電動工具1(ハンドル部2)に装着することにより、電池パック10と充電器20又は電動工具1とが電気的に接続される。
本実施形態では、電池パック10における開口部12Aより装着方向前進側に押出部14が設けられているので、図5,6,7に順に示されるように、電池パック10の充電器20への装着が進行するにつれて、押出部14の前端面14Aは、装着方向前進側に移動していく。
本実施形態では、カバー15が本発明における電池パックの外壁面の一例に相当し、カバー24が本発明における充電器の基台面の一例に相当し、充電用端子22及び通信用端子23が本発明における充電器側端子の一例に相当し、充電用端子13及び通信用端子13Aが本発明における電池側端子の一例に相当する。
本実施形態では、図9A及び図9Bに示すように、一部の側壁部12Bを装着方向前進側まで延長することにより押出部14が形成されている。
本実施形態では、保持部25の保持部高さh1は、図12A及び図12Bに示すように、充電器側端子22,23における保持部25側の端子高さL5以下となるように設定されている(図12A及び図12Bでは、充電用端子22のみが図示されている)。
上述の実施形態では、押出部14は、開口部12Aから前端面14Aまで連続する突条として形成されていたが、本実施形態では、図13に示すように、装着方向と交差する面14Aを有する突起により押出部14が形成されている。なお、本実施形態に係る押出部14は、円柱状の突起又は角柱状の突起のいずれであってもよい。
第1実施形態では、保持部25は、充電器側端子22,23側のみにテーパ面25Bが設けられていたが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではなく、保持部25の突出方向先端全域をテーパ面25Bとしてもよい。
また、上述の実施形態では、充電器側端子22,23は帯板状に形成され、電池側端子13,13Aは充電器側端子22,23の板面を挟み込むような形状であったが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではなく、例えば、これとは逆に、電池側端子13,13Aを帯板状とし、充電器側端子22,23を電池側端子13,13Aの板面を挟み込むような形状としてもよい。
Claims (8)
- 電動工具用の電池パックが着脱自在に装着される充電器の充電器側端子に付着した異物を除去するための異物除去構造であって、
前記電池パックに設けられ、前記電池パックの装着方向に沿って延びるとともに、その延び方向一端側に前記充電器側端子が進入可能な開口部が形成された挿入坑と、
前記挿入坑内に設けられ、前記電池パックが前記充電器に装着されたときに前記開口部から前記挿入坑内に進入した前記充電器側端子と接触する電池側端子と、
前記電池パックにおける前記開口部より前記装着方向前進側に設けられ、前記装着方向と交差する面を有する押出部とを備え、
当該異物除去構造は、前記電池側端子の前記装着方向前進側と前記充電器側端子とが接触したときに、前記充電器側端子より前記装着方向前進側にずれた部位に前記押出部が位置するように構成されている、異物除去構造。 - 請求項1に記載の異物除去構造であって、
前記押出部の前記面から前記電池側端子までの寸法は、前記充電器側端子における前記装着方向と平行な部位の寸法より大きい、異物除去構造。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の異物除去構造であって、
前記充電器側端子は、前記充電器の基台面から前記装着方向と直交する方向に突出し、
前記押出部は、前記電池パックの外壁面から前記装着方向と直交する方向に突出した形状であり、
さらに、前記電池パックが前記充電器に装着された場合においては、前記電池パックの外壁面と前記充電器の基台面とが互いに対向するとともに、前記押出部の突出方向先端が、前記充電器側端子の突出方向先端より前記基台面側に位置している、異物除去構造。 - 請求項3に記載の異物除去構造であって、
前記充電器側端子に対して前記装着方向前進側に位置し、前記基台面から前記充電器側端子の突出方向と平行な方向に突出して前記充電器側端子を保持する電気絶縁材料からなる保持部を備え、
前記基台面から前記保持部の突出方向先端までの寸法である保持部高さが、前記基台面から前記充電器側端子の突出方向先端までの寸法である端子高さ以下である、異物除去構造。 - 請求項3に記載の異物除去構造であって、
前記保持部における前記充電器側端子側の保持部高さは、前記充電器側端子における前記保持部側の端子高さ以下であり、
前記保持部における前記充電器側端子側には、前記充電器側端子から前記装着方向前進側に遠ざかるに従って徐々に前記保持部高さが大きくなるテーパ面が設けられ、
前記保持部高さは、前記基台面から前記保持部の突出方向先端までの寸法であり、
前記端子高さは、前記基台面から前記充電器側端子の突出方向先端までの寸法である、異物除去構造。 - 請求項4又は5に記載の異物除去構造であって、
前記挿入坑は、前記電池側端子を挟んで互いに対向して設けられて前記開口部から前記装着方向後退側に延びる一対の側壁部を有しており、
さらに、前記押出部は、前記一対の側壁部のうちの一方に対応する部位に設けられている、異物除去構造。 - 請求項6に記載の異物除去構造であって、
前記押出部は、前記一対の側壁部の一方から前記装着方向前進側に延びる突条として構成されている、異物除去構造。 - 請求項7に記載の異物除去構造であって、
前記保持部は、前記押出部に対応する部位からずれた位置に設けられている、異物除去構造。
