比較例4~比較例5の試験片は、何れもα相の単相組織を有しており、耐時期割れ性、耐応力腐食割れ性、及び強度の何れかの性質に劣るものであった。
具体的には、先ず、表1及び表2に示した所定の組成に秤量した銅と亜鉛を溶解してビレットを鋳造し、常温で伸線加工を行うことにより長尺線材を作製した。次に長尺線材に熱処理を施して銅亜鉛合金におけるβ相の比率を表1及び表2に示す値となるように制御した。
次に、実施例1,4及び比較例3,5のファスナーエレメント10における脚部内側面10dの近傍領域における組織を断面写真にて観察した。また、実施例1,4及び比較例3,5のファスナーエレメント10に対して、耐時期割れ性、耐応力腐食割れ性、冷間加工性、及び強度についての評価を上述した方法を用いて行った。
比較例5のファスナーエレメントはα相の単相組織を有しており、耐時期割れ性及び耐応力腐食割れ性に劣るものであった。

Claims (17)
- 亜鉛を35wt%より大きく43wt%以下で含有し、α相とβ相の2相組織を有する銅亜鉛合金からなる銅亜鉛合金製品であって、
前記銅亜鉛合金のβ相の比率が10%より大きく40%未満に制御され、
前記α相及びβ相の結晶粒が、冷間加工により扁平状に押し潰されて層状に配されてなる、
ことを特徴とする銅亜鉛合金製品。 - 扁平状の前記β相の結晶粒は、残留応力による時期割れ又は応力腐食割れによる亀裂が進展する方向に対して交差する方向に層状に形成されてなる請求項1記載の銅亜鉛合金製品。
- 扁平状の前記α相及びβ相の結晶粒は、前記銅亜鉛合金製品の外面に沿って配されてなる請求項1記載の銅亜鉛合金製品。
- 扁平状の前記β相の結晶粒は、断面視にて、前記外面に直交する方向の短辺長さに対する前記外面に平行な方向の長辺長さの割合が2以上に形成されてなる請求項3記載の銅亜鉛合金製品。
- 前記銅亜鉛合金製品は中間製品(5a,6a,20)である請求項1記載の銅亜鉛合金製品。
- 前記銅亜鉛合金製品はファスナー構成部品(5,6,10)である請求項1記載の銅亜鉛合金製品。
- 前記ファスナー構成部品は、噛合頭部(10a) と、前記噛合頭部(10a) から延設された胴部(10b) と、前記胴部(10b) から分岐して延設された一対の脚部(10c) とを有するファスナーエレメント(10)であり、
一対の前記脚部(10c) の対向する脚部内側面(10d) に沿って、扁平状の前記α相及びβ相が配されてなる、
請求項6記載の銅亜鉛合金製品。 - 前記胴部(10b) に、前記脚部内側面(10d) から連続する股部内側面(10e) が配され、
前記胴部(10b) の前記股部内側面(10e) に沿って、扁平状の前記α相及びβ相が配されてなる、
請求項7記載の銅亜鉛合金製品。 - 前記ファスナー構成部品は、スライドファスナー(1) のファスナーテープ(3) に取着される止具(5,6) であり、
前記止具(5,6) の前記ファスナーテープ(3) に接触する内側面に沿って、扁平状の前記α相及びβ相が配されてなる、
請求項6記載の銅亜鉛合金製品。 - 亜鉛を35wt%より大きく43wt%以下で含有し、α相とβ相の2相組織を有する銅亜鉛合金における前記β相の比率を10%より大きく40%未満に制御する工程と、
前記β相の比率が制御された前記銅亜鉛合金に対して、50%以上の加工率で冷間加工を施す工程と、
を含んでなることを特徴とする銅亜鉛合金製品の製造方法。 - 前記β相の比率を制御する工程にて、前記銅亜鉛合金に熱処理を施すことを含んでなる請求項10記載の銅亜鉛合金製品の製造方法。
- 前記冷間加工により、扁平状の前記β相の結晶粒を、残留応力による時期割れ又は応力腐食割れによる亀裂が進展する方向に対して交差する方向に層状に形成することを含んでなる請求項10記載の銅亜鉛合金製品の製造方法。
- 前記冷間加工により、前記β相の結晶粒を、断面視にて、前記銅亜鉛合金製品の外面に直交する方向の短辺長さに対する前記外面に平行な方向の長辺長さの割合が所定の大きさとなるように形成することを含んでなる請求項10記載の銅亜鉛合金製品の製造方法。
- 前記β相の結晶粒を、断面視にて、前記短辺長さに対する前記長辺長さの割合が2以上となるように形成することを含んでなる請求項13記載の銅亜鉛合金製品の製造方法。
- 前記銅亜鉛合金製品として中間製品(5a,6a,20)を製造することを含んでなる請求項10記載の銅亜鉛合金製品の製造方法。
- 前記銅亜鉛合金から長尺の線材(20)又は板材を形成し、前記線材(20)又は前記板材を切断する又は打ち抜くことにより、前記銅亜鉛合金製品としてファスナー構成部品(5,6,10)を製造することを含んでなる請求項10記載の銅亜鉛合金製品の製造方法。
- 前記ファスナー構成部品(5,6,10)としてファスナーエレメント(10)又は止具(5,6) を製造することを含んでなる請求項16記載の銅亜鉛合金製品の製造方法。
