Accordingly, the data management apparatus 1001 can accurately determine the novelty of the image data without increasing the load on the data processing apparatus 1002, and store the image data without duplication and omission.
- the data management apparatus 1001 when an image file or the like stored in an AV device such as a digital camera is transferred to a data management device such as a PC having a hard disk or the like.
- the data management apparatus 1001 easily determines whether the image data included in the image file is already stored in the data management apparatus 1001 based on the presence or absence of the first identification information in the image file. be able to. Therefore, the data management apparatus 1001 can prevent the image data already stored in the main storage unit 101 from being recorded in duplicate. That is, the data management apparatus 1001 appropriately stores only image data that has not yet been stored by the data management apparatus 1001, such as image data newly generated in the AV apparatus or image data transferred from another recording apparatus. be able to.
- the image data stored in the storage device is “saved”.
- the data processing device determines whether the image data distributed between the devices is image data that has already been saved in the storage device or new (unsaved) image data by giving the identification information of 1. This can be realized easily without increasing the load.
- the data management device records the electronic data in the storage device when the first identification information and the second identification information do not match, thereby requesting no special processing from the data processing device. Image data can be stored accurately and efficiently without omissions.
- Modification 1 of the first embodiment Next, Modification 1 of the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5.

- the identification information write control unit 414 determines whether to write the first identification information in the image file when outputting the image file to the data processing device 1002. (S202), and outputs the determination result to the identification information writing unit 103.
- the identification information writing unit 103 writes the identification information in the image file read from the main storage unit 101 when receiving the determination result that the identification information is written (S202: Y) (S203). Further, when the identification information writing unit 103 receives a determination result that the identification information is not written (N in S202), the identification information writing unit 103 does not write the identification information to the image file (S204).
- the image processing apparatus 1002 has only a relatively simple function such as a display operation such as a display device.
- An image file in which the first identification information is not written can be output to a data processing apparatus that does not have a data processing or editing function or an image data output function for the data management apparatus 4001.
- the data management apparatus 4001 does not need to add the first identification information to the image file output to the data processing apparatus 1002 that does not require identification information, so the overhead of the image file is reduced and more efficient.
- Image data can be transferred. That is, when it is considered that the image file output from the data management device 4001 to the data processing device 1002 is unlikely to return to the data management device 4001 again, the data management device 4001 includes the first file in the image file. Since it is not necessary to write the identification information, the data transfer amount can be suppressed.
- This embodiment is different from the first embodiment in that identification information is written in an area where image data is stored.
- the second embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings, focusing on differences from the first embodiment.

- the identification information writing unit 503 writes the first identification information in the area where the image data in the image file is stored.
- the first identification information is data of a predetermined two-dimensional array.
- the first identification information is, for example, image data.
- the first identification information is, for example, data indicating a predetermined analog quantity or multilevel level. Further, the first identification information may be, for example, data of a three-dimensional or more multidimensional array. With the first identification information, the data management apparatus 5001 can accurately and flexibly determine the novelty or similarity of image data.
- the identification information detection unit 511 detects the second identification information written in the area where the image data in the image file is stored. Further, the identification information detection unit 511 reads the first identification information stored in the identification information storage unit 102. Then, the identification information detection unit 511 matches the first identification information and the second identification information based on the similarity indicating the degree of similarity between the read first identification information and the detected second identification information. It is determined whether or not to do.

- This refers to all image processing that involves changing the image data.
- 8 shows a configuration in which the data processing device 5002 includes the processing / editing unit 509, but the configuration is not necessarily limited thereto.
- the processing / editing unit may be provided in another device independent of the data processing device 5002. In that case, the data processing device 5002 acquires the processed or edited image data from the other device and records it in the temporary storage unit 106.
- FIG. 9 is a flowchart showing the flow of processing in the data management apparatus according to the second embodiment of the present invention.
- an image file is stored in the main storage unit 101, and a first identification set in advance is stored in the identification information storage unit 102. Assume that information is stored.
- the data management device 5001 determines whether an image file is input or output (S301).
- the first input I / F unit 110 receives an input of the image file output from the second output I / F unit 107 (S302). Subsequently, the identification information detection unit 511 detects second identification information from the received image file (S303).
- the identification information detection unit 511 reads the first identification information stored in the identification information storage unit 102, and determines whether or not the read first identification information matches the detected second identification information. (S304).
- the identification information detection unit 511 calculates a correlation value between the two-dimensional array data indicated by the first identification information and the two-dimensional array data indicated by the second identification information as the similarity. More specifically, the identification information detection unit 511 calculates, for example, a correlation value between the image data indicated by the first identification information and the image data indicated by the second identification information as the similarity.
- the identification information detection unit 511 determines whether or not the first identification information and the second identification information match according to whether or not the correlation value satisfies a predetermined reference value. That is, the identification information detection unit 511 determines that the first identification information and the second identification information match when the correlation value is greater than or equal to a predetermined reference value. On the other hand, the identification information detection unit 511 determines that the first identification information and the second identification information do not match when the correlation value is less than a predetermined reference value. The operation of the identification information detection unit 511 that determines whether or not the first identification information and the second identification information match based on the similarity will be described later.
- the selection unit 112 records the image file in the main storage unit 101 according to the determination result by the identification information detection unit 511. That is, when it is determined that the first identification information and the second identification information do not match (N in S504), the selection unit 112 records the image file in the main storage unit 101 (S306). On the other hand, when it is determined that the first identification information matches the second identification information (Y in S504), the selection unit 112 rejects the image file (S305).
- the selection unit 112 rejects the image file, but it is not always necessary to reject the image file. For example, when it is determined that the first identification information and the second identification information match, the selection unit 112 displays a screen for prompting the user to confirm whether or not to record the image file in the main storage unit 101. It may be displayed on a display device (not shown), and the image file may be recorded or rejected based on a user input result on the displayed screen.
- the correlation value between the image data indicated by the first identification information and the image data indicated by the second identification information is a predetermined value in the vicinity of a predetermined reference value
- the selection unit 112 is the same as described above.
- the confirmation screen may be displayed on the display device, and the image file may be recorded or rejected based on a user input result on the displayed screen.
- the identification information writing unit 503 reads all or part of the image file stored in the main storage unit 101 in response to a request from the data processing device 5002, for example. (S307). Subsequently, the identification information writing unit 503 writes the first identification information stored in the identification information storage unit 102 in the read image file (S308).
- the identification information writing unit 503 writes the first identification information in an area where image data in the image file is stored. More specifically, the identification information writing unit 503 superimposes the second identification information, which is two-dimensional array data, on the image data and writes it in the image file.
- the first output I / F unit 104 outputs the image file in which the first identification information is written to the data processing device 5002 (S309).
- FIG. 10 is a schematic diagram showing an example of identification information according to the second embodiment of the present invention.
- the identification information writing unit 503 directly superimposes two-dimensional information, which is data of a two-dimensional array, on the image data in the image file as first identification information (in FIG. 10, Displayed as “su”).
- the identification information itself is displayed so as to be visible, but the identification information is not necessarily visible.
- the identification information writing unit 503 embeds the first identification information as “digital watermark” in the image data so as not to degrade the quality of the original image data as much as possible.
- digital watermark is information embedded in content data such as image data so that it cannot be perceived by humans.
- content data such as image data
- the identification information writing unit 503 may write the first identification information superimposed on the image data by replacing the pixel value of the lower bit plane with the first identification information. Further, for example, the identification information writing unit 503 may write the first identification information superimposed on the image data in the frequency domain.

Thereby, deterioration of image data can be suppressed.
- the identification information writing unit 503 superimposes the first identification information on an area that is initially read when image data recorded in a memory or a recording medium is read. That is, it is preferable that the identification information writing unit 503 writes the first identification information in an area that is initially read out of the areas in which image data in the image file is stored.
- the identification information detection unit 511 detects the second identification information earlier without waiting for the completion of reading of all the image data, and whether or not the first identification information and the second identification information match. Can be determined efficiently.

- the information amount (pattern, numerical value, etc.) of the first identification information is changed or deteriorated.
- the correlation value (graph vertical axis) indicating the correlation between the original identification information and the changed identification information decreases as the degree of change of the image data (graph horizontal axis) increases.
- the identification information detection unit 511 calculates the correlation value between the first identification information and the second identification information as the similarity, and the calculated correlation value is greater than or equal to a predetermined reference value. In this case, it is determined that the first identification information matches the second identification information. Conversely, when the calculated correlation value is less than a predetermined reference value, the identification information detection unit 511 determines that the first identification information and the second identification information do not match.
- the identification information detection unit 511 determines that image data that has been changed more than a certain amount by processing / editing processing is new data, even if the image data is already stored in the main storage unit 101. Can do. That is, the data management apparatus 5001 can determine whether to store the changed image data as new data according to the degree of change of the image data.

First identification information indicating this is written in the image data area of the image file as two-dimensional information. Then, the data management apparatus 5001 outputs the image file in which the first identification information is written to the data processing apparatus 5002.
- the data management device 5001 detects the second identification information in the image data area and detects the detected second identification.
- the information and the first identification information are quantified and compared.
- the data management apparatus 5001 records the image file in the main storage unit 101 only when the comparison result satisfies a predetermined condition.
- the data management device 5001 determines the novelty, similarity, or degree of image processing of the image data without increasing the load on the data processing device 5002, and stores the image data without duplication and omission. be able to.

Whether it is data or not can be easily determined. Therefore, the data management apparatus 5001 can prevent the image data that has already been saved in the main storage unit 101 from being recorded in duplicate. That is, the data management apparatus 5001 is an image obtained by processing or editing image data newly generated in an AV device, image data transferred from another recording apparatus, or original image data output from the data management apparatus 5001.
