Definitions
- the present invention relates to a sliding tripod type constant velocity joint.
- the constant velocity joint has a configuration in which a plurality of rolling elements are interposed between the tripod shaft portion and the roller, and the roller is inserted into the raceway groove of the outer ring.
- a contact state between the outer peripheral surface of the roller and the raceway groove of the outer ring a circular contact that contacts at a partial position and an angular contact that contacts at two sites are disclosed.
- the induced thrust force generated in the axial direction of the outer ring is reduced in the angular contact compared to the circular contact.
- this induced thrust force causes the vibration and noise of the vehicle body, and affects the NVH performance of the vehicle.
- the outer ring constituting the tripod type constant velocity joint has three raceway grooves. Therefore, the shape of the outer ring is irregular. Therefore, the rigidity in the raceway groove of the outer ring varies depending on the part.
- the outer ring is deformed by a load received from the roller.
- the contact between the raceway groove of the outer ring and the roller is an angular contact, the portion of the outer peripheral surface of the roller that contacts the raceway groove of the outer ring changes due to the deformation of the outer ring. This is because the relative position of the raceway groove of the outer ring with respect to the outer peripheral surface of the roller changes due to the deformation of the outer ring.
- the reaction force received from the raceway groove of the outer ring at each contact position of the roller of the angular contact is transmitted between the power, joint angle, and It fluctuates with respect to a desired ratio according to the rotational phase of the tripod. If it does so, the reaction force which one of each contact position of a roller receives from a raceway groove will become high, and the stress which arises in a part of roller will become large. An increase in the stress applied to the roller naturally causes a decrease in the durability of the roller. Furthermore, since the load transmitted from the roller to the tripod shaft through the rolling elements also fluctuates, the durability of the tripod shaft may be reduced. Although it is conceivable to increase the thickness of the outer ring so that the outer ring is not deformed, there is a problem that the outer ring is enlarged in this case.
- the present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and a sliding tripod type constant velocity joint capable of improving the durability of the roller and tripod shaft portion even when the outer ring is deformed by power transmission is provided.
- the purpose is to provide.
- the sliding tripod constant velocity joint is An outer ring formed in a cylindrical shape and formed with three raceway grooves extending in the outer ring rotation axis direction on the inner peripheral surface; A boss part connected to the shaft, and three tripod shaft parts that are erected so as to extend radially outward of the boss part from the outer peripheral surface of the boss part and are inserted into the track grooves,
- a tripod comprising: A roller formed in an annular shape, rotatably supported on the outer peripheral side of each of the tripod shafts, and disposed so as to roll in the raceway groove;
- a tripod type constant velocity joint comprising: The raceway groove of the outer ring and the outer peripheral surface of the roller are in contact with each other at two parts serving as an angular contact,
- the cross-sectional shape in the direction perpendicular to the outer ring rotation axis in the raceway groove of the outer ring is formed in an arc shape having a first radius of curvature with the first position as the center,
- the raceway groove of the outer ring is formed in an arc shape having the first radius of curvature. Only the first position) moves, and the relative shape of the raceway groove of the outer ring with respect to the roller does not change. Therefore, even if the outer ring is deformed, the part that contacts the raceway groove of the outer ring on the outer peripheral surface of the roller is always the same part. As a result, the reaction force that the roller receives from the raceway groove of the outer ring is always received from the same position (first contact portion and second contact portion).
- the contact surface shape of each of the first contact site and the second contact site on the outer peripheral surface of the roller and the raceway groove is a circle. Alternatively, it may be oval.
- the shape of the contact surface between the roller and the raceway groove of the outer ring is a circle or an ellipse.
- both are slightly elastically deformed. Therefore, both are not in point contact, but both are in surface contact.
- the contact surface is made to be circular or elliptical as in the present invention, so that the contact surface is not chipped.
- the lack of the contact surface means a state in which the range that can be originally contacted is cut off in the middle.
- the contact surface is chipped, the stress concentrates on the chipped portion and receives a large stress.
- stress concentration can be avoided. Therefore, the durability of the roller can be improved.
- a space between the first contact portion and the second contact portion is continuous with respect to the first contact portion and the second contact portion. You may make it form so that it may connect by a curve.
- the contact surface shape between the roller and the raceway groove of the outer ring can be circular or elliptical. Therefore, concentration of stress on the roller can be avoided. Therefore, the durability of the roller can be improved.
- a fourth position where the shape between the first contact portion and the second contact portion is radially outward from the outer peripheral surface of the roller.
- the range of the 1st contact part in the outer peripheral surface of a roller and the 2nd contact part is securable. Therefore, it can be ensured that the contact surface shape between the roller and the raceway groove of the outer ring is circular or elliptical. Therefore, concentration of stress on the roller can be avoided. Therefore, the durability of the roller can be improved.
- the sliding tripod constant velocity joint may be formed such that the roller swings with respect to the raceway groove.
- the roller shaft corresponds to a state in which the angle with respect to the direction in which the raceway groove of the outer ring extends (outer ring rotating shaft) always varies.
- the raceway groove of the outer ring is formed in an arc shape having the same radius of curvature, so even if the roller swings with respect to the raceway groove of the outer ring, the outer ring on the outer circumferential surface of the roller.
- the part that contacts the track groove is always the same part (the first contact part and the second contact part). Therefore, even in the constant velocity joint having such a configuration, the fluctuation of the stress generated in the roller can be surely suppressed, so that the durability of the roller can be improved.
- the sliding tripod constant velocity joint further includes a plurality of axial rolling elements interposed between the outer peripheral surface of the tripod shaft portion and the inner peripheral surface of the roller so as to allow rolling,
- the roller may be provided so as to be movable in the axial direction of the tripod shaft portion with respect to the tripod shaft portion, and may be provided so as to be restricted from swinging with respect to the tripod shaft portion.
- the roller swings with respect to the raceway groove of the outer ring. Even if it is applied to the constant velocity joint according to such a configuration, it is possible to reliably suppress the fluctuation of the stress generated in the roller.
- 1st embodiment It is radial direction sectional drawing of a part of constant velocity joint.

- the sliding tripod type constant velocity joint is used, for example, for connecting a power transmission shaft of a vehicle. Specifically, it is used for a connecting portion between a shaft portion connected to a differential gear and a drive shaft.
- the sliding tripod type constant velocity joint includes an outer ring 10, a tripod 20, a roller 30, a plurality of axial rolling elements 40, a retainer 50, and a snap ring 60.
- the outer ring 10 is formed in a bottomed cylindrical shape, and the outer bottom surface of the outer ring 10 is connected to a differential gear.
- Three raceway grooves 11 extending in the direction of the outer ring rotation axis are formed at equal intervals on the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 10. In FIG. 1, only one track groove 11 is shown.
- the cross-sectional shape in the direction orthogonal to the outer ring rotation axis on the groove side surfaces on both sides of the raceway groove 11 is formed in an arc shape having a first position radius R1 with the first position P1 on the central axis of the tripod shaft portion 22 as the center position.
