- JP 2002-156284 A paragraph number 0026, FIG. 2
- Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 7-260579 (Claims, FIG. 2)
- the present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and can provide a high temperature difference between the thermal sensing elements for infrared detection and temperature compensation, and can be downsized, and has an inexpensive structure.
- An object is to provide a sensor.
- the infrared sensor of the present invention includes an insulating film, a first thermal element and a second thermal element provided on one surface of the insulating film so as to be separated from each other, and one of the insulating films.
- a pair of adhesive electrodes formed on a surface and separately bonded to the first and second thermal elements, and provided on the other surface of the insulating film so as to face the first thermal element.
- An infrared reflection film, and the first heat sensitive element is formed on the thin insulating film with low thermal conductivity by partial infrared absorption by the infrared absorption film and partial infrared reflection by the infrared reflection film. A good temperature difference from the second thermosensitive element can be obtained.
- the infrared absorbing film can conduct heat due to infrared absorption only to the portion directly above the first thermal element of the insulating film. .
- the heat of the infrared absorption film is conducted across a thin insulating film, the sensitivity is not deteriorated and the response is high.
- the area of the infrared absorption film can be arbitrarily set, the viewing angle of infrared detection matched to the distance to the measurement object can be set by area, and high light receiving efficiency can be obtained.
- the infrared ray can be reflected by the infrared reflection film to prevent the absorption of the infrared ray at the portion directly above the second heat sensitive element of the insulating film.
- the infrared absorption film and the infrared reflection film are formed on the insulating film, the medium that conducts heat between the infrared absorption film and the infrared reflection film is between these films other than air. It becomes only an insulating film and the cross-sectional area to conduct becomes small. Accordingly, it is difficult for heat to be transmitted to the mutual heat sensitive elements, interference is reduced, and detection sensitivity is improved.
- the first heat sensitive element and the second heat sensitive element in which the influence of heat is suppressed on the insulating film having low thermal conductivity are respectively insulated from directly below the infrared absorbing film and directly below the infrared reflecting film. It has a structure for measuring the partial temperature of the adhesive film. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a good temperature difference between the first thermosensitive element used for infrared detection and the second thermosensitive element used for temperature compensation, thereby achieving high sensitivity.
- the thermal coupling between the first thermal element and the second thermal element is low, it is possible to arrange them close to each other, and the overall size can be reduced. Further, since the absorption of infrared rays is prevented by the infrared reflecting film rather than the light shielding structure by the frame or case, it can be manufactured at low cost. In addition, even if the infrared absorption film and the infrared reflection film are made of a conductive material, insulation between the first and second thermal elements installed with the insulating film interposed therebetween is ensured. An efficient material can be selected regardless of the insulating properties of the film.
- the first and second thermosensitive elements each have a plate-like thermistor body and a pair of electrode layers formed on the front and back surfaces of the thermistor body, one of which is bonded to the adhesive electrode. Therefore, thermal response and detection sensitivity can be improved by transferring heat to the wide adhesive electrode and electrode layer and then conducting heat to the thermistor element body while having a small heat capacity in the direction of travel of the infrared rays (thickness direction). That is, since the thermistor body is plate-shaped and is a so-called flake-type thermistor that is bonded to a wide adhesive electrode with an electrode layer, it has a thick chip-like thermistor body like a chip thermistor and has an electrode at the end.
- the thermistor element bodies can usually be selected from the same plate element element, so that it is easy to set the resistance values and the B constants of the two heat sensitive elements substantially the same.
- the detection area can be made wider than that of a pine needle type or chip type thermistor, and the area corresponding to the infrared absorption film and the infrared reflection film can be easily set, and measurement errors due to in-plane distribution hardly occur.
- the infrared sensor of the present invention is characterized in that outer shapes of the first and second heat sensitive elements are set smaller in plan view than the bonded electrodes to be bonded. That is, in this infrared sensor, since the outer shapes of the first and second thermal elements are set smaller in plan view than the bonded electrodes to be bonded, the heat capacity is reduced by downsizing, Further excellent thermal response can be obtained.
- the infrared sensor of the present invention includes an adhesive-side terminal electrode connected to the adhesive electrode by a fine-line adhesive-side pattern wiring, a wire-bonding electrode, and the wire-bonding electrode on one surface of the insulating film.
- a pair of wire-side terminal electrodes connected to the electrodes by thin-wire-like wire-side pattern wiring are respectively formed, and the electrode layers that are not bonded and the corresponding wire-bonding electrodes are electrically connected by metal wires formed by wire bonding. It is characterized by being connected. That is, in this infrared sensor, the first and second heat sensitive elements are used for connecting the electrodes with the fine line-shaped adhesion-side pattern wiring and wire-side pattern wiring, and the metal fine wire by wire bonding.
- each of the first and second thermosensitive elements includes a plate-like thermistor element body and a pair of electrode layers formed on the front and back surfaces of the thermistor element body, one of which is bonded to the adhesive electrode. Therefore, thermal response and detection sensitivity can be improved by transferring heat to the wide adhesive electrode and electrode layer and then conducting heat to the thermistor element body while having a small heat capacity in the direction of travel of the infrared rays (thickness direction).

- this thermistor there are thermistors such as NTC type, PTC type, CTR type, etc.
- NTC type thermistors are employed as the first thermal element 3A and the second thermal element 3B.
- the thermistor body 3a is formed of a thermistor material such as a Mn—Co—Cu material or a Mn—Co—Fe material.

- a prismatic body for example, glass pastes are screen-printed on the upper and lower surfaces of a rectangular flat plate body made of ceramics of the thermistor material.
- the glass layer 3c is formed by applying and baking with the like.
- the plate element is diced into strips to form a plurality of prismatic elements, and the glass layers 3c are formed on both side surfaces where the glass layers 3c are not formed in a state where the glass layers 3c are arranged side by side.
- the prismatic body having the glass layer 3c formed on all side surfaces is cut in a direction orthogonal to the central axis to form a thermistor body 3a which is a plurality of plate-like bodies. Furthermore, a jig having a plurality of recesses formed on the upper surface in accordance with the thermistor element body 3a is prepared, and the thermistor element body 3a is disposed in the recess. In this state, a conductive paste such as Au or Ag paste is applied and baked in the recess by screen printing or the like to form the electrode layer 3b on the surface of the thermistor body 3a. Similarly, the electrode layer 3b is also formed on the back surface of the thermistor element body 3a. In this way, the first thermal element 3A and the second thermal element 3B, which are flake type thermistors, are produced.
- an adhesion-side terminal electrode 7 connected to the adhesion electrode 4 by a fine-line-shaped adhesion-side pattern wiring 7a; A pair of a wire bonding electrode 8 and a wire side terminal electrode 9 connected to the wire bonding electrode 8 by a thin wire-like pattern wiring 9a are formed. Further, the electrode layer 3b that is not bonded and the corresponding wire bonding electrode 8 are electrically connected by a thin metal wire Y such as a gold wire by wire bonding. Note that the outer shapes of the first thermal element 3A and the second thermal element 3B are set to be smaller in plan view than the adhesive electrode 4 to be bonded. That is, the surface and the back surface of the thermistor body 3a have a smaller area than the adhesive electrode 4 to be bonded.

- the temperature of the first thermosensitive element 3A immediately below is changed by heat conduction through the insulating film 2 from the infrared absorbing film 5 that absorbs infrared rays and generates heat.
- the infrared absorbing film 5 is formed to cover the first thermal element 3A and the adhesive electrode 4 with a size larger than that of the first thermal element 3A.
- the infrared reflection film 6 is formed of a material having an infrared emissivity higher than that of the insulating film 2, and is formed of, for example, a mirror-deposited aluminum vapor deposition film or an aluminum foil.
- the infrared reflective film 6 is formed to cover the second heat sensitive element 3B and the adhesive electrode 4 with a size larger than that of the second heat sensitive element 3B.
- the adhesive electrode 4, the adhesion-side pattern wiring 7 a, and the adhesion side are formed on one surface (back surface) of the insulating film 2.
- the terminal electrode 7, the wire bonding electrode 8, and the wire side terminal electrode 9 are respectively patterned.
- a pattern is formed on the other surface (front surface) of the insulating film 2 with the infrared absorption film 5 and the infrared reflection film 6 facing the corresponding adhesive electrodes 4 respectively.
- the first thermal element 3A and the second thermal element 3B are separately bonded onto the corresponding adhesive electrode 4 by solder or conductive adhesive.
- the electrode layer 3b to which the first heat sensitive element 3A and the second heat sensitive element 3B are not bonded and the wire bonding electrode 8 are connected by a thin metal wire Y by wire bonding. In this way, the infrared sensor 1 is manufactured.
- the infrared sensor 1 of the present embodiment is opposed to the infrared absorption film 5 provided on the other surface of the insulating film 2 so as to face the first thermal element 3A and the second thermal element 3B.
- the infrared reflection film 6 provided on the other surface of the insulating film 2, so that it is thinly heated by partial infrared absorption by the infrared absorption film 5 and partial infrared reflection by the infrared reflection film 6.
- a good temperature difference between the first thermal element 3A and the second thermal element 3B can be obtained on the insulating film 2 having low conductivity.
- the infrared absorbing film 5 As shown in FIG. It is possible to conduct heat due to infrared absorption. In particular, since the heat of the infrared absorption film 5 is conducted across the thin insulating film 2, there is no deterioration in sensitivity and high responsiveness is achieved. In addition, since the area of the infrared absorption film 5 can be arbitrarily set, the viewing angle of infrared detection matched to the distance to the measurement object can be set by area, and high light receiving efficiency can be obtained.
- the infrared reflection film 6 can reflect the infrared rays directly above the second heat sensitive element 3B of the insulating film 2 to prevent its absorption. Since the infrared absorption film 5 and the infrared reflection film 6 are formed on the insulating film 2, the medium that conducts heat between the infrared absorption film 5 and the infrared reflection film 6 is a film other than air. Becomes only the insulating film 2 between the two facing each other, and the cross-sectional area to be conducted becomes small. Accordingly, it is difficult for heat to be transmitted to the mutual heat sensitive elements, interference is reduced, and detection sensitivity is improved.
- the first heat sensitive element 3A and the second heat sensitive element 3B in which the influence of heat on the low heat conductive insulating film 2 is suppressed, are respectively directly below the infrared absorbing film 5 and the infrared reflecting film 6. It has the structure which measures the partial temperature of the insulating film 2 just under. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a good temperature difference between the first thermal element 3A for infrared detection and the second thermal element 3B for temperature compensation, thereby achieving high sensitivity.
- the thermal coupling between the first thermal element 3A and the second thermal element 3B is low, they can be arranged close to each other, and the overall size can be reduced. Furthermore, since the absorption of infrared rays is prevented by the infrared reflection film 6 rather than the light shielding structure by the frame or case, it can be manufactured at low cost.
- the infrared absorption film 5 and the infrared reflection film 6 are made of a conductive material, insulation with the first and second thermal elements 3A and 3B installed with the insulating film 2 interposed therebetween is ensured. Therefore, an efficient material can be selected regardless of the insulating properties of the film. Further, since the insulating film 2 is formed of an infrared transmissive film, infrared absorption by the insulating film 2 itself around the infrared absorption film 5 and the infrared reflection film 6 is suppressed as much as possible, and heat conduction from the surroundings. The influence on the first thermal element 3A and the second thermal element 3B can be reduced.
- thermosensitive element 3A and the second thermosensitive element 3B are a plate-like thermistor element body 3a and a pair of electrodes formed on the front and back surfaces of the thermistor element body 3a, one of which is bonded to the adhesive electrode 4.
- Layer 3b the heat capacity in the traveling direction (thickness direction) of infrared rays is small, and heat is transferred to the wide adhesive electrode 4 and electrode layer 3b and then conducted to the thermistor body 3a, thereby providing thermal responsiveness and Detection sensitivity can be improved.
- the thermistor body 3a is plate-shaped and is a so-called flake-type thermistor that is bonded to the wide adhesive electrode 4 by the electrode layer 3b, it has a thick chip-like thermistor body like a chip thermistor at the end. Higher thermal responsiveness and detection sensitivity can be obtained with superior thermal conductivity than a thermistor having an electrode. Furthermore, in the case of a flake type thermistor, the thermistor element body 3a can usually be selected from the same plate element element, so that it is easy to set the resistance values and B constants of the two thermal elements 3A and 3B to be substantially the same.
- the outer shapes of the first heat sensitive element 3A and the second heat sensitive element 3B are set to be smaller in plan view than the adhesive electrode 4 to be bonded, the heat capacity is further reduced by the downsizing, and further excellent. Thermal responsiveness is obtained. Further, since the fine line-shaped adhesion-side pattern wiring 7a and wire-side pattern wiring 9a and the metal thin wire Y by wire bonding are employed for electrode connection, the first thermal element 3A and the second thermal element 3B. It is difficult to conduct heat from the wiring to the bonding-side terminal electrode 7 and the wire-side terminal electrode 9, and it is possible to obtain higher detection sensitivity by suppressing the escape of heat. Therefore, it is possible to prevent thermal coupling with other portions due to space conduction between the lead wire and the thermistor as in the prior art.
- the infrared sensor 21 includes a housing 27 that is fixed to one surface of the insulating film 2 and supports the insulating film 2.
- the housing 27 includes the first thermal element 23 ⁇ / b> A and the first thermal element 23 ⁇ / b> A.
- the first embodiment is that a first storage portion 27a and a second storage portion 27b are provided, which individually store the two thermal elements 23B and cover with air having a lower thermal conductivity than the insulating film 2. It is different from the form.
- first thermal element 23A and the second thermal element 23B of the second embodiment are set to be smaller in plan view than the adhesive electrode 4 to be bonded, as compared with the first embodiment. .
- the casing 27 is made of, for example, a resin, and is preferably a material having lower thermal conductivity than the insulating film 2 so as not to dissipate heat of the insulating film 2 more than necessary.
- the first storage portion 27a and the second storage portion 27b are holes having a rectangular cross section formed corresponding to the positions of the first thermal element 23A and the second thermal element 23B, The opening is closed with the insulating film 2 with air sealed inside.
- the first thermal element 23A and the second thermal element 23B are individually accommodated and insulated by the first accommodating part 27a and the second accommodating part 27b. Since these are covered with air whose thermal conductivity is lower than that of the film 2, the heat conduction between the first thermal element 23A and the second thermal element 23B can be further suppressed. Further, the outer shapes of the first and second heat sensitive elements 23A and 23B are set to be smaller than the first embodiment in the plan view as compared with the bonded electrode 4 to be bonded. Responsiveness is obtained.
- the present invention can provide an infrared sensor that can be downsized and has an inexpensive structure.
