Definitions
- the present invention relates to a spray gun that supplies a liquid to a processing object while atomizing the liquid, and particularly relates to a spray gun suitable for a powder processing apparatus that performs granulation, coating, and the like of the powder.
- a granulation coating device that performs processing such as granulation, coating, and drying of powder
- liquid spray using a spray gun has been widely performed during coating of powder. It has been broken.
- the spray gun of the powder processing apparatus is usually disposed in the powder container.
- the spray gun sprays a binder liquid or a coating liquid (hereinafter abbreviated as a coating liquid or the like) using compressed air to a powder or powder that is in a flow or rolling state.
- hot air or cold air is appropriately supplied and exhausted as air for drying treatment (dry air), and formation and drying of the coating layer are promoted.
- the conventional spray gun has a narrow spray pattern (spray zone) and a large difference in spray amount in the spray region. For this reason, when a coating liquid or the like is sprayed in a large amount, a processing object such as a tablet is locally wetted, a uniform coating layer cannot be formed on the tablet or the like, and stable product quality cannot be ensured. On the other hand, if the supply amount of the coating liquid or the like is reduced, variations in the spray amount in the spray region can be suppressed. However, as the supply amount of the coating liquid or the like is reduced, the time required for the coating process becomes longer, and the processing efficiency decreases.
- the conventional powder processing apparatus increases the number of spray guns and performs a small amount of spraying over a wide range to improve the processing time and product quality. I was trying to balance.

- FIG. 9A is an explanatory view showing a spray pattern by a conventional spray gun
- FIG. 9B is an explanatory view showing a spray pattern by the spray gun 1 according to the present invention.
- the conventional spray gun has a narrow spray pattern and a large spray amount difference (variation) in the spray region.
- the pattern air P is applied in a state where the spray mist from the nozzles is roughly spread.
- the spray mist flow is strongly influenced by the pattern air P more than necessary, and the spray pattern has an 8-shaped shape (a bowl shape).
- the spray pattern hardly spreads in the long axis direction, and the center part of the heel is more constricted.
- the spray mist sprayed from the nozzle 3 reaches the injection region of the pattern air P in a dense state where it does not diffuse much. Then, the pattern air P is applied in a state where the spray liquid does not spread so much. That is, the pattern air P is sprayed onto the spray mist in the diffusion suppression region R where the spray mist does not expand beyond the predetermined cross-sectional area. For this reason, in the spray gun 1, the spray mist flow is not affected by the pattern air P more than necessary, and the spray pattern is not formed in the shape of figure 8 but is formed into a substantially oval shape. Further, the difference in the spray amount in the spray region can be suppressed to a small level.
- FIG. 10 is an explanatory diagram showing the configuration of the nozzle tip of the spray gun 1 according to the present invention that realizes such a spray pattern.
- the tip of the nozzle portion 17 of the nozzle 3 is inserted into the nozzle insertion hole 58 of the air cap 6.
- An atomized air jet 83 is formed between the tip outer peripheral portion 81 of the nozzle portion 17 and the inner wall 82 of the nozzle insertion hole 58.
- the atomizing air ejection port 83 communicates with the atomizing air chamber 57, from which atomized air A is jetted in the left direction in FIG.
- a coating liquid L or the like is discharged from the liquid discharge port 44 at the tip of the nozzle portion 17.
- the discharged coating liquid L or the like is atomized by the atomized air A ejected from the atomized air ejection port 83.
- a spray mist having a predetermined spray pattern is sprayed onto the object to be processed by the pattern air P ejected from the pattern air hole 65 of the air cap 6.
- the tip outer peripheral portion 81 of the nozzle portion 17 is tapered, and is inclined by 10 ° (nozzle taper angle ⁇ 1) with respect to the horizontal direction.
- the inner wall 82 of the nozzle insertion hole 58 is also tapered, and is inclined by 30 ° (cap taper angle ⁇ 2) with respect to the horizontal direction. That is, both the front end outer peripheral portion 81 and the inner wall 82 are inclined toward the direction of the center line O of the liquid discharge port 44, and the opening 58 a of the nozzle insertion hole 58 is in the direction of the center line O. Open toward. Further, since ⁇ 2> ⁇ 1, the nozzle insertion hole 58 is narrowed toward the tip.
- the atomized air is ejected from the opening 58a with the flow velocity increased.
- the tip portion 84 of the nozzle portion 17 is thin, and the radial thickness (thickness) t is 0.3 mm (the hole diameter of the liquid discharge port 44 with respect to the liquid discharge port 44 having a diameter of 1.2 mm. 25%).
- the spray gun 1 is configured in such a dimensional relationship, and pattern air is sprayed from the pattern air hole 65 to the spray liquid discharged from the liquid discharge port 44 and atomized by atomized air. Then, as shown in FIG. 9B, the pattern air P can be applied in a state where the spray liquid sprayed from the nozzle 3 does not spread so much.
- the atomized air A is jetted in the direction toward the center of the liquid discharge port 44, that is, toward the jet of the coating liquid L or the like.
- the coating liquid discharged from the liquid discharge port 44 is atomized without being diffused (expanded diameter) outwardly as compared with the case where the atomized air A is sprayed horizontally or outward. Is done. Further, since the nozzle tip 84 is also thin, atomized air is effectively applied to a jet of coating liquid or the like.
- the spray mist flow is formed more convergingly than the conventional spray gun, and the diffusivity of the spray mist flow in the area where the pattern air hits is reduced.
- a spray mist flow diffusion suppression region R for example, a cross-sectional area within 4 times the liquid discharge port 44, that is, a region where the diameter is maintained within about 2.2 times
- pattern air is applied.
- the spray pattern is not an 8-shaped pattern, but is formed into an oval shape. Further, the difference in the spray amount in the spray region can be suppressed to a small level.
- the tip portion 84 of the nozzle 3 slightly protrudes from the convex tip surface 60 a of the air cap 6 provided with the atomizing air jet outlet 83.
- the protrusion amount s is set to 0.25 mm.
- the coating liquid or the like is easily discharged from the liquid discharge port 44 due to the negative pressure effect caused by the ejection of atomized air. If the nozzle tip 84 is arranged on the same plane as the convex tip surface 60a, the spray liquid easily adheres to the nozzle 3 and the air cap 6.
- the adhesion of the spray liquid is also suppressed. Is done. However, if the protrusion amount s is excessive, the amount of adhesion increases, and pulsation occurs in the coating liquid injection due to excessive negative pressure.
- s 0.25 mm is adopted as the balance point, but a value of about 0.1 to 1.0 mm is appropriately set depending on the coating conditions.
- the spray mist spreads over a wide range, and the change of the mist amount with respect to the distance from the central portion also becomes gentle. Further, the average particle diameter was about 24 ⁇ m for the conventional spray gun, whereas it was about 15 ⁇ m for the spray gun 1, and the spray mist could be made finer.

- the circular plot indicates that the spray gun according to the present invention is used at a large air flow
- the square plot indicates that the spray gun according to the present invention is used under conventional conditions
- the diamond plot indicates that the conventional spray gun is used under conventional conditions. This is the data when As shown in FIG. 13, when the conventional spray gun is used under the conventional conditions, the spray gun of the present invention requires 3% coating in about 100 minutes, compared to the processing time of about 180 minutes. The product was obtained and the time was greatly reduced.
- the spray gun according to the present invention also requires substantially the same processing time under the conventional conditions.
- the spray gun according to the present invention can obtain a uniform spray pattern even at a large air volume, so that a desired coating can be obtained in a shorter time than the conventional one. It becomes possible to obtain goods.
- FIG. 14 is explanatory drawing which shows the spray speed setting in the case of implementing an aqueous film coating.
- three spray guns were used, and water-based film coating 3% w / w (hypromellose (TC-5R): 8.0%, Macrogol 6000: 0.8%, purified water) for 130 kg of ⁇ 8 mm CR tablets : 91.2%, food coloring (yellow No. 5): 0.03% w / w).

- the spray gun of the present invention large-volume spraying can be performed evenly, so that the spray speed can be increased with the passage of time. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 14B, the coating process could be completed in 81 minutes by gradually increasing the spray rate (120 to 240 mL / min ⁇ 3 gun).
- the spray gun 1 of the present invention for a pan coating apparatus, even if a large amount of coating liquid or the like is sprayed, a processing object such as a tablet is not locally wetted, and a uniform coating layer is formed on the tablet. It can be formed and stable product quality can be ensured.
- the spray amount variation in the spray region can be suppressed while the large air volume treatment is performed, and the time required for the coating treatment can be shortened while maintaining the product quality.
- incidental equipment such as pump units, valves and solenoid valves can be reduced.
- the man-hours required for installation and maintenance of the spray gun can be reduced, and the product cost can be reduced.
