- the reason for disconnection is “link loss”, it is generally considered that the user wants the communication link to be restored after the communication link is disconnected regardless of the call state immediately before disconnection or the service state immediately before disconnection. It is done. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, when the reason for disconnection is “link loss”, the connection state determination unit 5 selects “connection request state” regardless of the call state immediately before disconnection or the service state immediately before disconnection. decide. As a result, when the reason for disconnection is a link loss, it is possible to quickly attempt to restore the communication link.
- the connection state determination unit 5 selects and determines “standby state” regardless of the call state immediately before disconnection or the service state immediately before disconnection.
- the communication link is disconnected by the disconnection process from the mobile phone 50 as a result of the user performing the above voice transfer operation.

- the software is stored in a storage unit such as a RAM or a ROM that can be referred to by the arithmetic processing unit.
- the connected device registration unit 12 functions as a connected device registration unit that executes a terminal registration process for registering the communication terminal 60 as a wireless connection target terminal. Specifically, the connected device registration unit 12 performs a predetermined registration processing procedure with the communication terminal 60 that exists in the communicable range of the short-range wireless communication device 3, so that it can communicate with the navigation device 1.
- the communication terminal 60 is registered as a communication terminal capable of establishing a communication link.
- information of an identification code for example, ID
- the identification code storage means 13 includes a recording medium capable of storing and rewriting information, such as a hard disk drive and a flash memory, as a hardware configuration.
- the wireless unit control unit 11 functions as a communicable terminal specifying unit that specifies the communication terminal 60 that allows establishment of a communication link with the short-range wireless communication device 3. Specifically, information related to the communication terminal 60 detected by the wireless control unit 2 within the communicable range is transmitted to the wireless unit control unit 11. Then, the wireless unit control unit 11 determines whether there is a communication terminal 60 that allows establishment of a communication link with the navigation device 1 among the communication terminals 60 detected by the wireless control unit 2, and Information on the determination result is transmitted to the wireless control unit 2.

- the communication link establishment process from the navigation device 1 is automatically executed when the main power of the navigation device 1 is turned on. Further, a communication link establishment process can be executed from the navigation device 1 side by a user operation on the navigation device 1.
- the short-range wireless communication device 3 is in the “connection standby state”, and the communication terminal 60 that is within the communicable range of the wireless control unit 2 is connected to the navigation device 1. It is configured to be executable even when a request is sent. In such a case, the wireless control unit 2 transmits information regarding the communication terminal 60 that has transmitted the connection request to the wireless unit control unit 11. The wireless unit control unit 11 determines whether or not the communication terminal 60 that has transmitted the connection request is allowed to establish a communication link, and transmits the determination result to the wireless control unit 2. If the wireless control unit 11 determines that the wireless unit control unit 11 allows communication with the communication terminal 60 that has transmitted the connection request, the wireless control unit 2 executes processing for establishing a communication link with the communication terminal 60. .
- the wireless unit control unit 11 causes the communication terminal 60 that has transmitted a connection request to the navigation device 1 to execute the second disconnection that causes the current “connection standby state”.
- the communication link is established with the communication terminal 60 (that is, the mobile phone 50 that has performed the second disconnection) (that is, the communication link is restored). That is, in this example, in the “connection waiting state”, only the connection request from the mobile phone 50 that has executed the second disconnection is accepted.
- communication terminals 60 other than the mobile phone 50 that has executed the second disconnection including mobile phones other than the mobile phone 50 that has executed the second disconnection. In the example shown in FIG. 4, the mobile audio device 80). It is also possible to suppress the establishment of the communication link regardless of the user's intention and the establishment of the communication link by a method other than the regular procedure.
- the wireless unit control unit 11 is configured to switch between a “use state” in which the wireless control unit 2 is used and a “non-use state” in which the wireless control unit 2 is not used, by a user operation or setting of the navigation device 1. It also functions as a wireless usage state setting means for switching between.
- power consumption of the navigation device 1 can be reduced by stopping power supply to the short-range wireless communication device 3 provided in the wireless control unit 2.
- the radio control unit 2 is configured to connect the short-range radio communication device 3 when the connection monitoring unit 4 detects disconnection of the communication link once established.
- a connection state determination unit 5 that determines the state of the connection.
- the connection state determination unit 5 selects and determines “connection standby state” because the reason for disconnection is “second disconnection” and the call state immediately before disconnection is “busy”.
- the “connection standby state” is configured to end on condition that the connection relation specifying process is executed or the short-range wireless communication device 3 is in a communication disabled state.
- connection state determination unit 5 executes at least one of the determination as to whether or not the connection relationship identification process has been executed and the determination as to whether or not the short-range wireless communication device 3 has entered a communication disabled state. Configured to do.
- the connection state determination unit 5 is configured to execute both of these determinations, and when the connection relationship specifying process is executed or when the short-range wireless communication device 3 becomes in a communication disabled state Then, the end of the “connection standby state” is determined.
- the connection state determination unit 5 determines the end of the “connection standby state”
- information on the determination is input to the short-range wireless communication device 3, and the short-range wireless communication device 3 ends the “connection standby state” To do.
- the short-range wireless communication device 3 is configured to enter the “standby state” after completing the “connection standby state”.
- connection relationship specifying process means a specific process (in this case, a process related to wireless connection) among processes that can be executed by the navigation device 1, and specifically, short-range wireless communication. Is a process for preparing or changing the state of the wireless connection with the communication terminal 60 (including the mobile phone 50) capable of executing the above.
- the “communication impossible state” regarding the short-range wireless communication device 3 is a state where the short-range wireless communication device 3 cannot establish a communication link by short-range wireless communication.
- connection standby state is maintained for an unnecessarily long time by setting the termination condition of the “connection standby state” based on the “connection relationship specifying process” and the “communication impossible state” in this way. This prevents the calculation load of the arithmetic processing device included in the navigation device 1 from increasing unnecessarily. In the following, this point will be supplementarily described.
- the mobile phone 50 when the voice transfer operation is performed during the “calling” by the hands-free function, the mobile phone 50 is connected to the navigation device 1 after the call ends. It is assumed that the request is sent. In order to receive the connection request from the mobile phone 50, the short-range wireless communication device 3 is set in the “connection standby state” after the voice transfer operation.
- the short-range wireless communication device 3 cannot receive the connection request transmitted by the mobile phone 50 after the call ends, and the communication link cannot be restored by the connection request. Things can happen. Then, when such a situation occurs, in the configuration in which the connection request is not transmitted from the mobile phone 50 again, the “connection standby state” is maintained even though the connection request is not transmitted from the mobile phone 50, There is a possibility that the calculation load of the arithmetic processing device provided in the navigation device 1 may increase unnecessarily. Such a state in which the “connection standby state” is maintained even though the connection request is not transmitted from the mobile phone 50 can also occur when a failure occurs in the mobile phone 50.
- connection state determination unit 5 determines whether or not the navigation device 1 has executed a process that can be regarded as having ended the call by the mobile phone 50 (that is, the “connection relationship specifying process” described above).
- the connection state determination unit 5 is configured to determine. That is, when processing for changing or preparing for wireless connection with the communication terminal 60 (including the mobile phone 50) capable of performing short-range wireless communication is performed by the user's operation, Therefore, it can be considered that the call using the mobile phone 50 by the user is ended. Therefore, the connection state determination unit 5 determines to end the “connection standby state” when the connection relationship specifying process is executed.
- the connection state determination unit 5 determines whether or not the short-range wireless communication device 3 is in a communication disabled state, and if the short-range wireless communication device 3 is in a communication disabled state, The decision to end the “standby state” is made.
- connection standby state By providing the configuration for setting the termination condition of the “connection standby state” as described above, the “connection standby state” is suppressed from being maintained for an unnecessarily long time, and the arithmetic processing device provided in the navigation device 1 It is possible to suppress an unnecessary increase in the computation load.
- the “connection relationship specifying process” includes the “terminal registration process” for registering the communication terminal 60 as a target terminal for wireless connection, and the communication terminal 60 (the mobile phone 50 that has executed the second disconnection).
- the “terminal registration process” is an example of a process for preparing for wireless connection
- the “link establishment process” is an example of a process for changing the state of the wireless connection.
- the “connection relationship specifying process” may include other processes (for example, “link disconnection process” for disconnecting a communication link by short-range wireless communication).
- the “wireless connection state change” referred to in the present application is a concept that includes both communication link connection processing and disconnection processing.
- the “communication disabled state” includes a “non-operating state” in which the short-range wireless communication device 3 is inactive.
- the “non-operating state” means, for example, a state in which power supply to the wireless control unit 2 is stopped or a state in which the operation of the wireless control unit 2 is invalidated by a user operation or setting of the navigation device 1 In this state, the wireless control unit 2 is set to the “non-use state”.
- a power-off state in which the main power of the navigation device 1 is turned off for example, a state in which an accessory switch (ACC) for switching on or off power supply to each electric device included in the vehicle is turned off) "include.
- ACC accessory switch
- the connection state determination unit 5 uses only “terminal registration process” and “link establishment process” as the “connection relationship specifying process”, and sets “non-communication state” as “non-communication state”. Only the “operational state” is set as a determination target. That is, in the present embodiment, the connection state determination unit 5 determines that the “terminal registration process” has been executed, the “link establishment process” has been executed, or the short-range wireless communication device 3 has entered the “non-operation state”. On the condition that it has become, it is configured to end the “connection standby state”. In order to enable such a determination, when the “terminal registration process” is executed in the navigation device 1, the information is input from the connected device registration unit 12 to the connection state determination unit 5, for example.
- the information is input from the short-range wireless communication device 3, for example, to the connection state determination unit 5. Further, when the short-range wireless communication device 3 is set to the “non-operating state”, the information is input to the connection state determination unit 5 from the wireless unit control unit 11, for example.
- the “link establishment process” includes a link establishment process for establishing a communication link by short-range wireless communication with the mobile phone 50 that has performed the second disconnection.
- the link establishment process in this case is a communication link recovery process. Therefore, also in the present embodiment, as in the first embodiment, when the communication link with the mobile phone 50 is restored, the “connection waiting state” ends.
- connection state determination unit 5 the procedure (end determination method) of the “connection standby state” end determination process executed in the connection state determination unit 5 according to the present embodiment will be described.
- the procedure of the end determination process described below is executed by hardware and / or software (program) constituting the connection state determination unit 5 or both.

When the “terminal registration process” is executed (step # 12: Yes), the connection state determination unit 5 determines to end the “connection standby state” (step # 15). On the other hand, when the “terminal registration process” has not been executed (step # 12: No), the connection state determination unit 5 determines whether the “link establishment process” has been executed (step # 13). . When the “link establishment process” is executed (step # 13: Yes), the connection state determination unit 5 determines to end the “connection standby state” (step # 15).
- the connection state determination unit 5 determines whether or not the short-range wireless communication device 3 is in the “non-operation state”. (Step # 14). When the short-range wireless communication device 3 is in the “non-operating state” (step # 14: Yes), the connection state determination unit 5 determines to end the “connection standby state” ( Step # 15). On the other hand, when the short-range wireless communication device 3 is not in the “non-operating state” (step # 14: No), the process returns to step # 12.
- step # 12 to step # 14 This process is repeatedly executed. If it is determined as Yes in at least one of steps # 12 to # 14, that is, which of “terminal registration process” and “link establishment process” is executed, or the short-range wireless communication device When 3 becomes the “non-operating state”, the connection state determination unit 5 determines the end of the “connection standby state”. Note that the execution order of step # 12 to step # 14 can be changed as appropriate, and at least two of the three steps can be executed simultaneously.
- connection state determination unit 5 performs wireless connection of the short-range wireless communication device 3 based on the reason for disconnection of the communication link, the call state immediately before disconnection, and the service state immediately before disconnection.

Abstract
