Abstract

L’invention concerne une microsphère d’oxyde de cérium utilisée en tant que matériau de référence de taille et son procédé de préparation. La microsphère d’oxyde de cérium est une microsphère hybride inorganique-organique constituée d’oxyde de cérium et de polyvinylpyrrolidone en un rapport en poids de 11 à 16:1. La microsphère hybride inorganique-organique a une structure polycristalline qui appartient au système cubique de type fluorite et a une cellule unitaire cubique à faces centrées. La microsphère a un facteur de forme inférieur à 1,2 et une incertitude de taille relative inférieure à 5 %. Le matériau de référence de taille de particule formé par la microsphère d’oxyde de cérium possède des avantages, tels qu’un poids spécifique élevé, une grande stabilité à la température, une grande résistance aux acides ou aux alcalis, un non-gonflement en solvants organiques et une grande résistance à l’invasion bactérienne.
