- the piezo element PZ expands in response to the rise of the drive voltage VW1.
- the lens holder 31 is displaced in the direction away from the shaft holding portion 45 according to the expansion of the piezoelectric element PZ.
- the lens holder 31 is displaced with respect to the shaft holding portion 45 when the piezoelectric element 42 is rapidly expanded.
- the piezoelectric element 42 contracts slowly, the lens holder 31 is not displaced with respect to the shaft holding portion 45.
- the piezoelectric element 42 should be expanded in a short time by narrowing the pulse width of the switching pulse SP. If it is necessary to secure the discharge time of the current accumulated in the piezo element 42, it can be considered that the duty ratio of the switching signal should be set small.
- the lens holder 31 can be efficiently It can be considered that it can be displaced. By displacing the lens holder 31 more efficiently, it is possible to displace the lens holder 31 at a higher speed.
- the duty ratio of the switching signal is in the range of 4% to 40%.
- the test result it is evaluated by three steps of ⁇ ⁇ .
- the characteristics of the actuator improve in the order of ⁇ > ⁇ > ⁇ .
- the actuator operates without problems at a high speed of 1 mm / s or more.
- the operating characteristics of the actuator are degraded compared to the case of ⁇ .
- the actuator when the duty ratio D of the switching signal is 25%, the actuator is normally operated under the condition that an appropriate frequency is selected. Can. As compared with the case where the duty ratio D exceeds 30%, the waveform of the drive voltage becomes sharp, and the lens holder 31 can be efficiently displaced.
- the duty ratio D of the switching signal may be 20%.
- the selectable frequency band can be expanded.
- the expansion of selectable frequency bands improves design freedom.
- the duty ratio D of the switching signal may be 15%.
- the duty ratio D of the switching signal may be 10% or less.
- the duty ratio D of the switching signal may be 8% or less.
- the selectable frequency band can be further expanded, and the same effect as described above can be obtained. In this test, normal operation could be confirmed up to about 300 kHz.
- the duty ratio D of the switching signal may be 6% or less.
- the selectable frequency band can be further expanded, and the same effect as described above can be obtained.
- the result shown in FIG. 27 is based on the displacement of the lens holder 31 in the forward direction.
- the selectable frequency band can be significantly expanded. it can.
- the expansion of selectable frequency bands improves design freedom.
- the switching signals VS1 and VS2 are set in the high frequency band, the lens holder 31 can be displaced at a higher speed than in the prior art. This can improve the operating characteristics of the actuator.
- the drive voltage VW1 is generated based on a switching signal having a duty ratio of 10% (D ⁇ 10%) or less, and the piezo element PZ is driven by the drive voltage VW1.
- the lens holder 31 can be displaced at high speed and efficiently, and the applicable frequency band can be expanded.
- D2 corresponds to the pulse width of the switching pulse SP.
- D1 corresponds to the period of the switching pulse SP.
- the lens holder 31, the piezoelectric element 42, and the transmission shaft 44 are movable with respect to the housing 20.
- the lens holder 31, the piezoelectric element 42, and the transmission shaft 44 are used as the movable portion.
- the resonance frequency can be shifted to the high frequency side, and a continuous usable frequency band can be obtained.
- a continuous usable frequency band can be further obtained by setting the switching signal to an appropriate duty ratio.
- the slip between the transmission shaft 44 and the shaft holding portion 45 at the time of displacement operation is reduced by sharpening the rising degree or falling degree of the steep rising signal or the steep falling signal in which the lens holder 31 is displaced. , High efficiency operation can be obtained.
- the lens can be displaced at high speed by shifting the frequency of the switching signal to the high frequency side.
- the selectable frequency band is narrow, it may be difficult to displace the lens holder 31 due to the operating frequency falling out of the selected frequency band due to variations in the characteristics of the piezoelectric element alone, changes in the operating environment of the actuator, etc. There is. On the other hand, in the present embodiment, the selectable frequency band itself is expanded. Therefore, it can be effectively suppressed that the selected frequency is included in the resonance frequency band due to some unexpected cause.
- FIG. 29 the operation result of the actuator is evaluated as in the case of FIG. Also in the case of the comparative example, the same circuit as that of FIG. 22 is adopted.
- FIG. 28 shows a camera module according to a comparative example.
- the movable portion portion enclosed by a broken line
- the upper end of the transmission shaft 44 is fixed to the lid 50 and can not move with respect to the housing 20.
- the shaft holding portion 45 is frictionally engaged with the transmission shaft 44.
- the point at which the piezo element PZ is driven by the sawtooth driving voltage VW1 is the same.
- the relationship between the waveform of the drive voltage VW1 and the timing at which the lens holder 31 is displaced is different. That is, in the case of this embodiment, the lens holder 31 is displaced when the waveform of the drive voltage VW1 changes in a short time, but in the case of the comparative example, the lens holder 31 changes when the waveform of the drive voltage VW1 changes slowly. Displace. Therefore, in the case of the comparative example, it is required to sufficiently secure a period in which the waveform of the drive voltage VW1 changes slowly. In this case, it is not meaningful to set the duty ratio of the switching signal small. In the case of the comparative example, when the waveform of the drive voltage VW1 changes sharply, the lens holder 31 is not substantially displaced.
- the selection range of the duty ratio of the switching signal is narrow.
- the selection range of the switching signal frequency is narrow.
- the selectable frequency band is narrow because, in the case of the comparative example, the transmission shaft 44 is connected to the lid 50 and a system including the housing 20 causes resonance.
- the frequency band of the switching signal can be expanded under the condition in which the switching signal is set to a desired duty ratio, as compared with the case of the comparative example. This is because, in the case of the present embodiment, the resonance frequency is shifted to the high frequency side.
- the switching signal can be set to a higher frequency as compared with the comparative example. By this, the lens holder 31 can be displaced at a higher speed.
- the selectable frequency band is narrow, it is difficult to displace the lens holder 31 due to the operating frequency falling out of the selected frequency band due to variations in the characteristics of the piezoelectric element alone, changes in the operating environment of the actuator, etc. May be On the other hand, in the present embodiment, the selectable frequency band itself is expanded. Therefore, it can be effectively suppressed that the selected frequency is included in the resonance frequency band due to some unexpected cause.
- the resonant frequency depends on the shape of the case, the weight, and the adhesion between the piezoelectric element and the case.
- the resonant frequency may be different for each product in which the driving device is incorporated. In the band where the resonance frequency is present, it may be difficult to control the actuator accurately. In other words, the determination of whether the actuator functions properly must wait for the actuator to be incorporated into the product. An error in setting of the switching signal frequency may lower the yield of the product. In the present embodiment, the occurrence of such a problem can also be effectively suppressed.
- the spring 45 q forms an angle of 90 degrees with respect to the arrangement direction of the transmission shaft 44 (the direction along the axis Lx1) as viewed from the lens holder 31 (along the axis Lx2).
- the pressing plate 45p is biased from the direction).
- the spring 450 q biases the pressing plate 450 p in a direction substantially parallel to a center line connecting the center of the lens holder 31 and the center of the transmission shaft 44 when viewed from above.
- the lens unit 30 is attached to the housing 20 (200) via the link member 45 (450).
- the spring 45 q (450 q) is accommodated in the link member 45 (450).
- the presser plate 45p (450p) and the spring 45q (450q) are accommodated in the link body 45h (450h), and these are confined from behind by the presser plate 45r (450r).
- the transmission shaft 44 inserted into the opening of the link main body 45h (450h) is held between the link main body 45h (450h) and the pressing plate 45p (450p).
- the link main body 45 h (450 h) and the pressing plate 45 p (450 p) frictionally engage with the transmission shaft 44.
- the link member 45 (450) can be frictionally engaged with the transmission shaft 44 without increasing the size of the drive device.
- the lens holder 31, the piezoelectric element 42, and the transmission shaft 44 are displaced together as viewed from the housing 20 (200) according to the drive of the piezoelectric element 42.
- the lens unit 30 is attached to the housing 20 (200) by fitting the link member 45 (450) frictionally engaged with the transmission shaft 44 into the housing 20 (200). This can simplify the assembly of the camera module 150. Further, commercialization can be realized in units of lens units 30.
- both can be positioned and fixed with high accuracy. Therefore, the accuracy of the attachment of the transmission shaft 44 to the lens holder 31 can be enhanced more than before.
- the piezo element 42 when the camera module 150 is assembled, the piezo element 42 is supported by the transmission shaft 44, and is suspended in the upper space of the housing 20 (200). In other words, the piezo element 42 is not in direct contact with the housing 20 (200). As a result, the structure for fixing the piezo element 42 can be omitted, and the camera module 150 can be miniaturized. Further, the process for fixing the piezoelectric element 42 (the process of bonding to the housing, the process of arranging the weight on the transmission shaft, and the like) can be omitted.
- the piezoelectric element 42 functioning as a vibration source is mechanically fixed to another member (such as a housing), and the transmission shaft 44 is made free. It is considered necessary. According to the study of the present inventors, it has become clear that the function of the actuator is not hindered even if it is considered that the piezo element 42 is fixed in space by the weight of the piezo element 42 itself. Therefore, even if the piezoelectric element 42 is suspended, displacement of the lens holder 31 is not hindered.
- the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and can be appropriately modified without departing from the scope of the present invention.
- the specific configuration of the biasing means is optional.
- the connection method between the piezoelectric element and the transmission axis is optional, and other members may be disposed between them.
- the biasing means may bias the transmission shaft indirectly via another member, as well as directly biasing the transmission shaft.
- the drive device, the lens component, and the camera module of the present invention are used, for example, in an imaging device such as a camera.
