Abstract

同一ライン混流生産と専用ライン生産の双方の利点を有する混流生産ラインを提供すること。 混流生産ライン(1)は、少なくとも2機種のワークに対する作業に共用される生産設備(10)と、機種別にワークに対する作業を行う作業者(20)のための作業領域(21)と、生産設備と作業領域との間でワークを搬送する自走式搬送台車(30)とを備え、各機種のワークを混流生産するラインである。また、機種別に自走式搬送台車(30)の走行路が設けられることにより、生産設備および作業領域を含む機種別の専用ライン(31)が構成される。

Description

混流生産ライン
 本発明は、混流生産ラインに関する。
 従来から、例えば機種によって生産工数に差のあるワークなど、異なる機種のワークがラインで生産される。これには、1本の同一ラインで混流生産する方法と、それぞれ専用のラインで生産する方法とがある。
 まず、同一ラインで混流生産する方法について説明する。
 例えば、1日2交替で14時間ラインを稼働すると仮定すると、1日の総稼働時間は50400秒となる。1日の生産予定台数が300台であると仮定すると、ラインタクトは約170秒(50400/300)となる。
 また、A機種およびB機種を生産する、A機種の総工数は5100秒、B機種の総工数は8500秒、と仮定する。
 A機種の生産台数が100%つまり300台、B機種の生産台数は0%であると仮定する。そして、これを1台当たりラインタクト170秒で生産すると仮定する。この場合は、総工数が5100秒であるから、30工程(5100/170)必要である。
 また、B機種の生産台数が100%つまり300台、A機種の生産台数は0%であると仮定する。そして、これを1台当たりラインタクト170秒で生産すると仮定する。この場合は、総工数が8500秒であるから、50工程(8500/170)必要である。
 つぎに、それぞれ専用ラインで生産する方法について説明する。
 この場合も、1日の総稼働時間は50400秒、1日の生産予定台数は300台、A機種の総工数は5100秒、B機種の総工数は8500秒であると仮定する。
 そして、例えば、A機種の生産台数は220台、およびB機種の生産台数は80台であると仮定する。そして、これを、それぞれ専用ラインで生産すると仮定する。
 A機種を220台生産する場合、ラインタクトは約230秒(50400/220)となる。このA機種を1台当たりラインタクト230秒で生産する。この場合は、総工数が5100秒であるから、23工程(5100/230)必要である。
 また、B機種を80台生産する場合、ラインタクトは630秒(50400/80)となる。このB機種を1台当たりラインタクト630秒で生産する。この場合は、総工数が8500秒であるから、14工程(8500/630)必要である。

 しかしながら、同一ラインで混流生産する方法において、常に最大機種の工程数の作業者、つまり要員が必要となる。上記の例でいえば、A機種の生産台数が100%の場合に必要な工程数は30であり、そして、B機種の生産台数が100%の場合に必要な工程数は50である。したがって、最大機種の工程数は50である。
 仮に、A機種の生産台数が65%であり、そして、B機種の生産台数が35%である場合でも、50工程の作業者を要員として確保する必要がある。これにより、実際に必要な工程数に比べて作業者数が多すぎて、作業が割り当てられない作業者が出てくる。
 但し、A機種の生産に使用される設備およびB機種の生産に使用される設備の中で、A機種の生産にもB機種の生産にも使用される設備が共用されることができるというメリットもある。
 一方、専用ラインで生産する方法において、A機種の生産にもB機種の生産にも使用される設備が共用されることができない。そのため、同じ設備を、A機種用およびB機種用にそれぞれ、合わせて2ライン揃える必要がある。これは、二重に投資することを強要する結果を招く。
 但し、A機種およびB機種それぞれの工数に合った最適作業者数でラインを稼働することができるというメリットもある。上記の例でいえば、A機種の生産に必要な工程数は23であり、そして、B機種の生産に必要な工程数は14である。したがって、合わせて37工程の作業者を要員として確保することで、生産することができる。
 本発明は、上記課題を解決するために為されたものであり、同一ライン混流生産および専用ライン生産の双方の利点を有する混流生産ラインを提供することを目的とする。
 本発明の混流生産ラインは、少なくとも2機種のワークに対する作業に共用される生産設備と、機種別にワークに対する作業を行う作業者のための作業領域と、前記生産設備と前記作業領域との間でワークを搬送する自走式搬送台車と、を備え、前記各機種のワークを混流生産するラインであって、機種別に前記自走式搬送台車の走行路が設けられることにより、前記生産設備および前記作業領域を含む機種別の専用ラインが構成される。
 また、前記生産設備を複数備え、前記作業領域には前記生産設備間における機種別の工程が割り当てられることが好ましい。
 また、前記各機種は互いに生産台数が異なり、前記機種間の生産台数の偏差に応じて、ラインタクトがより長い機種の前記専用ラインの作業領域には、ラインタクトがより短い機種の前記専用ラインの作業領域に比べてより多くの工数が割り当てられることが好ましい。
 また、前記機種間の生産台数の偏差に応じて、ラインタクトがより長い機種の前記専用ラインでは、特定の前記生産設備より上流側の前記作業領域の工程および下流側の前記作業領域の工程が同一の作業者に割り当てられることが好ましい。
 また、前記特定の生産設備より上流側の前記作業領域と下流側の前記作業領域とが実質的に同じ場所に配置されることが好ましい。
 本発明によれば、各機種のワークに対する作業に生産設備が共用されることによって、多重投資を避けて、そして、設備投資を最少限に抑えることができる。また、機種別に専用ラインが設けられることによって、最適数の作業者により各専用ラインを稼働することができる。

 以下、本発明の実施形態について図面を参照して説明する。
 図1は、本発明による混流生産ラインの第1実施形態を示す概略的平面図である。
 この混流生産ライン1は、生産設備10と、作業者20のための作業領域21と、自走式搬送台車30とを備えて、そして、少なくとも2機種、例えばA機種およびB機種、のワークを混流生産する。混流生産ライン1は、A機種の専用ライン31Aと、B機種の専用ライン31Bとを備える。
 生産設備10は、A機種およびB機種のワークに対する作業に共用される。図1では、4台の生産設備10k,10l,10m,10nが図示される。生産設備10k,10l,10m,10nの各々は、A機種の生産およびB機種の生産に共用される。
 作業領域21は、作業者20が機種別にワークに対する作業を行う領域である。図1では、A機種用の作業領域21Ak,21Al,21Am、およびB機種用の作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmが図示される。
 自走式搬送台車30は、無人搬送台車であり、生産設備10と作業領域21との間でワークを搬送する。図1では、自走式搬送台車30が1台だけ図示される。しかし実際には、必要な台数の自走式搬送台車30が、あらかじめ決められた走行ルートを、発進、停止のタイミング等を含むあらかじめ決められた走行モードに従って走行する。
 A機種の専用ライン31Aは、共用設備10k,10l,10m,10nを含む独立したラインである。
 B機種の専用ライン31Bは、共用設備10k,10l,10m,10nを含む独立したラインである。
 つまり、A機種の専用ライン31Aも、B機種の専用ライン31Bも、設備10k,10l,10m,10nだけは共用するが、これ以外は全く別の独立した専用ラインである。
 A機種の専用ライン31Aの場合、共用設備10k,10l,10m,10nおよびA機種用の作業領域21Ak,21Al,21Amを結ぶ、自走式搬送台車30の走行路が設けられる。これにより、共用設備10k,10l,10m,10nおよびA機種用の作業領域21Ak,21Al,21Amを含む、A機種の専用ライン31Aが構成される。
 したがって、図1において、最も上流側の設備10kと、それより下流側の作業領域21Akとの間には、設備10kから作業領域21Akへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Ak1が設けられる。
 作業領域21Akと、それより下流側の設備10lとの間には、作業領域21Akから設備10lへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Ak2が設けられる。
 設備10lと、それより下流側の作業領域21Alとの間には、設備10lから作業領域21Alへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Al1が設けられる。
 作業領域21Alと、それより下流側の設備10mとの間には、作業領域21Alから設備10mへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Al2が設けられる。
 設備10mと、それより下流側の作業領域21Amとの間には、設備10mから作業領域21Amへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Am1が設けられる。
 作業領域21Amと、それより下流側の設備10nとの間には、作業領域21Amから設備10nへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Am2が設けられる。
 一方、B機種の専用ライン31Bの場合、共用設備10k,10l,10m,10nおよびB機種用の作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmを結ぶ、自走式搬送台車30の走行路が設けられる。これにより、共用設備10k,10l,10m,10nおよびB機種用の作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmを含む、B機種の専用ライン31Bが構成される。
 したがって、図1において、最も上流側の設備10kと、それより下流側の作業領域21Bkとの間には、設備10kから作業領域21Bkへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Bk1が設けられる。
 作業領域21Bkと、それより下流側の設備10lとの間には、作業領域21Bkから設備10lへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Bk2が設けられる。
 設備10lと、それより下流側の作業領域21Blとの間には、設備10lから作業領域21Blへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Bl1が設けられる。
 作業領域21Blと、それより下流側の設備10mとの間には、作業領域21Blから設備10mへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Bl2が設けられる。
 設備10mと、それより下流側の作業領域21Bmとの間には、設備10mから作業領域21Bmへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Bm1が設けられる。
 作業領域21Bmと、それより下流側の設備10nとの間には、作業領域21Bmから設備10nへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Bm2が設けられる。
 上記の混流生産ライン1において、A機種の専用ライン31AおよびB機種の専用ライン31Bは、それぞれ自由にレイアウトすることができる。
 上記の説明で用いた「上流側」、「下流側」という用語は、A機種またはB機種のワークに対する作業工程の流れに基づくものであり、必ずしも位置を意味するものではない。
 例えば、設備10k,10l,10m,10nの位置を自由にレイアウトすることができる。
 そのような設備10k,10l,10m,10nに対して、作業領域21Ak,21Al,21Amの位置を自由にレイアウトすることができる。これにより、A機種の専用ライン31Aを自由にレイアウトすることができる。
 また、そのような設備10k,10l,10m,10nに対して、作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmの位置を自由にレイアウトすることができる。これにより、B機種の専用ライン31Bを自由にレイアウトすることができる。
 したがって、混流生産ライン1は、スペースの有効活用を図ることができる。
 また、自走式搬送台車30の走行路を工夫することにより、ワークの搬送時間、搬送距離を短縮することができる。
 さらに、必要に応じて、自走式搬送台車30の全台数のうち一部をバッファとして用いることができる。これにより、自走式搬送台車30が全体として、ワークの搬送をよりスムーズに実現することができる。
 上記のような混流生産ライン1において、A機種の生産台数とB機種の生産台数との比が、例えば約3:1であると仮定する。この場合は、A機種のラインタクトが例えば200秒であると仮定すれば、B機種のラインタクトは約600秒となる。
 この場合、A機種の作業領域21Akにおける工程の工数が仮に200秒であると仮定すれば、作業領域21Akにおける工程編成率(ラインタクトに対する工程の工数の割合)は100%になる。
 つまり、作業者20Akの工程編成率が100%に近づくように、作業領域21Akに工程の工数を割り当てることができる。
 同様に、A機種の作業領域21Al,21Amにおける工程の工数もそれぞれ仮に200秒であると仮定すれば、作業領域21Al,21Amにおける工程編成率はそれぞれ100%になる。作業者20Al,20Amの工程編成率がそれぞれ100%に近づくように、作業領域21Al,21Amに工程の工数をそれぞれ割り当てることができる。
 これに対し、B機種のラインタクトは、A機種のラインタクトの約3倍である。そのため、A機種の作業者20Akが作業する工数に比べて、B機種の作業者20Bkは約3倍の工数を作業できる時間的な余裕がある。
 同様に、A機種の作業者20Al,20Amが作業する工数に比べて、B機種の作業者20Bl,20Bmは、それぞれ約3倍の工数を作業できる時間的な余裕がある。
 そのため、B機種の作業者20Bk,20Bl,20Bmには、A機種の作業者20Ak,20Al,20Amに比べて、それぞれ約3倍の工数を割り当てることができる。
 ここで、A機種の総工数に比べて、B機種の総工数が約3倍であると仮定する。すなわち、A機種の作業領域21Ak,21Al,21Amにおける工程の工数がそれぞれ200秒であり、B機種の作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmにおける工程の工数がそれぞれ約600秒であると仮定する。
 この場合、B機種のラインタクトは600秒であるから、作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmにおける工程編成率はそれぞれ100%になる。
 つまり、作業者20Bk,20Bl,20Bmの工程編成率がそれぞれ100%に近づくように、作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmに工程の工数をそれぞれ割り当てることができる。
 次に、A機種の総工数に比べて、B機種の総工数が約2倍であると仮定する。すなわち、A機種の作業領域21Ak,21Al,21Amにおける工程の工数がそれぞれ200秒であり、B機種の作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmにおける工程の工数がそれぞれ約400秒であると仮定する。
 この場合、B機種のラインタクトは600秒であるから、作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmにおける工程編成率はそれぞれ約67%になる。
 ここで、例えば、作業領域21Blにおける工程は、2分割することができると仮定する。この場合、図1に示す混流生産ライン1に代えて、図2に示す混流生産ライン2が採用可能である。
 図2は、本発明による混流生産ラインの第2実施形態を示す概略的平面図である。
 図2に示す混流生産ライン2は、作業領域21Blにおける工程を2分割したものであり、2つに分割された作業領域21Bl1,21Bl2として図示する。
 そのため、混流生産ライン2は、2分割された一方の作業領域21Bl1における工程の工数を実質的に作業領域21Bkで作業できるとともに、2分割された他方の作業領域21B2における工程の工数を実質的に作業領域21Bmで作業できるように、自走式搬送台車30の走行路が設けられる。
 具体的には、作業領域21Bl1が作業領域21Bkに隣接して配置される。そして、設備10lからこの作業領域21Bl1へ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Bl1が設けられる。
 これにより、作業者20Bkは、作業領域21Bkと作業領域21Bl1との間を、実質的に移動しないで作業することができる。
 また、作業領域21Bl2が作業領域21Bmに隣接して配置される。そして、作業領域21Bl1から作業領域21Bl2へ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Bl3が設けられる。作業領域21Bl2から設備10mへ向けて自走式搬送台車30の走行路31Bl2が設けられる。
 これにより、作業者20Bmは、作業領域21Bmと作業領域21Bl2との間を、実質的に移動しないで作業することができる。
 上記の混流生産ライン2において、作業者20Bkには、作業領域21Bkにおける工程の工数に加えて、作業領域21Bl1における工程の工数が割り当てられる。
 ここで、作業領域21Bkにおける工程の工数は400秒、作業領域21Bl1における工程の工数はその半分の200秒であるから、作業者20Bkには、合わせて600秒の工数が割り当てられる。
 B機種のラインタクトは600秒であるから、作業者20Bkの工程編成率はほぼ100%になる。
 また、作業者20Bmには、作業領域21Bmにおける工程の工数に加えて、作業領域21Bl2における工程の工数が割り当てられる。
 ここで、作業領域21Bmにおける工程の工数は400秒、作業領域21Bl2における工程の工数はその半分の200秒であるから、作業者20Bmには、合わせて600秒の工数が割り当てられる。
 B機種のラインタクトは600秒であるから、作業者20Bmの工程編成率はほぼ100%になる。
 つまり、作業者20Bk,20Bmの工程編成率がそれぞれほぼ100%になるように、作業領域21Bk,21Bl1,21Bl2,21Bmに工程の工数をそれぞれ割り当てることができる。
 その結果、作業領域21Blの作業者20Blは不要となる。
 したがって、A機種の生産台数とB機種の生産台数との差、つまりA機種とB機種との機種偏差、に基づく余剰の作業者20Blを削減することが可能になる。
 次に、A機種の総工数とB機種の総工数とに事実上の差がないと仮定する。すなわち、A機種の作業領域21Ak,21Al,21Amにおける工程の工数がそれぞれ200秒であり、B機種の作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmにおける工程の工数もそれぞれ約200秒であると仮定する。
 この場合、B機種のラインタクトは600秒であるから、作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmにおける工程編成率はそれぞれ約33%になる。
 この場合、図1に示す混流生産ライン1に代えて、図3に示す混流生産ライン3が採用可能である。
 図3は、本発明による混流生産ラインの第3実施形態を示す概略的平面図である。
 図3に示す混流生産ライン3は、作業領域21Bkにおける工程の工数、作業領域21Blにおける工程の工数、および作業領域21Bmにおける工程の工数を、実質的に同じ場所で作業できるように、自走式搬送台車30の走行路が設けられる。
 具体的には、作業領域21Blおよび作業領域21Bmが、いずれも作業領域21Bkに隣接して配置される。そして、作業領域21Blには、走行路31Bl1,31Bl2が設けられる。また、作業領域21Bmには、走行路31Bm1,31Bm2が設けられる。
 これにより、作業者20Bkは、作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bm間を実質的に移動しないで作業することができる。
 上記の混流生産ライン3において、作業者20Bkには、作業領域21Bkにおける工程の工数に加えて、作業領域21Blにおける工程の工数、および作業領域21Bmにおける工程の工数が割り当てられる。
 ここで、作業領域21Bkにおける工程の工数は200秒、作業領域21Blにおける工程の工数も200秒、作業領域21Bmにおける工程の工数も200秒であるから、作業者20Bkには、合わせて600秒の工数が割り当てられる。
 B機種のラインタクトは600秒であるから、作業者20Bkの工程編成率はほぼ100%になる。
 つまり、作業者20Bkの工程編成率がほぼ100%になるように、作業領域21Bk,21Bl,21Bmに工程の工数を割り当てることができる。
 その結果、作業領域21Blの作業者20Bl、および作業領域21Bmの作業者20Bmは不要となる。
 したがって、A機種とB機種との機種偏差に基づく余剰の作業者20Bl,20Bmを削減することが可能になる。
 このような機種偏差に基づく余剰作業者、つまり偏差要員、の削減は、機種偏差が大きければ大きいほど大幅に削減することが期待できる。換言すれば、ラインタクトがより短いA機種の専用ライン31Aに対して、より長いB機種の専用ライン31Bのラインタクトが長ければ長いほど、偏差要員をより大幅に削減することが期待できる。
 また、機種偏差がどのような大きさであっても、それに応じて余剰作業者を確実に削減することができ、偏差要員を最少にすることができる。
 また、自走式搬送台車30の制御の観点からは、ラインタクトがより短いA機種の専用ライン31Aにおける自走式搬送台車30の走行速度と、ラインタクトがより長いB機種の専用ライン31Bにおける自走式搬送台車30の走行速度とは、同じ速度であることが好ましい。
 しかし、自走式搬送台車30は走行速度を自在に変えられる。決められたラインタクトで全ての工数を終了するために、必要であれば、自走式搬送台車30の走行速度は任意に設定されることができる。
 例えば、ラインタクトがより長いB機種の専用ライン31Bにおける自走式搬送台車30の走行速度に比べて、ラインタクトがより短いA機種の専用ライン31Aにおける自走式搬送台車30の走行速度は、より速く設定されることも可能である。
 図4は、本発明による混流生産ラインの第4実施形態を示す要部の概略的平面図である。
 この混流生産ライン4は、図1、図2、図3に示す混流生産ライン1,2,3に付加的に組み合わされる。混流生産ライン4は、A機種の専用ライン31AまたはB機種の専用ライン31Bのいずれにも付加することが可能である。そのため、1つの専用ライン31として表してある。
 また、説明を簡略にするため、図4では、3台の生産設備10k,10l,10mと、2箇所の作業領域21k,21lと、1台の自走式搬送台車30とを図示する。
 自走式搬送台車30は、例えばコンベヤのように搬送方向が決まっていない。そのため、自走式搬送台車30は、その走行路をあらかじめ設けておくことにより、その走行路に沿ってどの方向へでも走行してワークを搬送することが可能である。
 すなわち、自走式搬送台車30は、ワークを上流側から下流側へ搬送するだけでなく、必要に応じて、ワークを下流側から上流側へ搬送することも可能である。
 また、自走式搬送台車30は、任意の設備または作業領域を通過して、その上流側または下流側へワークを搬送することも可能である。
 上記の混流生産ライン4において、ラインタクトを例えば500秒と仮定する。すなわち、各設備10k,10l,10mのサイクルタイムは500秒である。
 また、設備10k,10l間の作業領域21kにおける工程の工数を例えば400秒と仮定する。
 また、設備10l,10m間の作業領域21lにおける工程の工数を例えば600秒と仮定する。
 この場合、自走式搬送台車30の走行路がつぎのように設けられる。
 すなわち、図4において、最も上流側の設備10kと、それより下流側の作業領域21kとの間には、設備10kから作業領域21kへ向けて走行路31k1が設けられる。
 作業領域21kと、それより下流側の設備10lとの間には、作業領域21kから設備10lへ向けて走行路31k2が設けられる。
 また、設備10lから作業領域21kへ向けて走行路31l1が設けられる。この走行路31l1は、設備10lから発進する自走式搬送台車30を、作業領域21kへ戻す。
 作業領域21kと、設備10lより下流側の作業領域21lとの間には、作業領域21kから設備10lを通過して作業領域21lへ向けて走行路31l2が設けられる。
 作業領域21lと、それより下流側の設備10mとの間には、作業領域21lから設備10mへ向けて走行路31l3が設けられる。
 この混流生産ライン4の場合、作業領域21kにおける工程の工数は、500秒のラインタクトに対して400秒である。そのため、作業領域21kにおける工程編成率は当初80%になる。作業者20kは400秒分の工数を作業する。
 作業領域21kにおける400秒分の作業が終了したワークは、自走式搬送台車30によって設備10lへ搬送されて、所定工程の工数が作業される。
 設備10lにおける作業終了後、ワークは、自走式搬送台車30によって再び作業領域21kへ搬送される。
 そのため、作業者20kは、500秒のラインタクトに対して残り100秒分の工数を作業することができる。この100秒分の工数は、作業領域21lにおける工程の600秒分の工数から得ることができる。
 これにより、作業者20kの工程編成率は最終的にラインタクト一杯の100%まで上昇する。
 作業領域21kにおけるラインタクト500秒分の作業が終了したワークは、自走式搬送台車30によって、設備10lを通らずに作業領域21lへ直接搬送される。
 作業領域21lにおける工程は、500秒のラインタクトに対して600秒の工数がある。しかし、この600秒の工数のうち100秒分の工数は、作業領域21kにおいて作業者20kにより既に作業済みである。そのため、作業領域21lにおける工程には、500秒分の工数が残っている。
 500秒の工数は、1人の作業者20lで作業できる工数である。そこで、作業者20lがこの500秒の工数を作業する。そのため、作業者20lの工程編成率はラインタクト一杯の100%になる。
 このように、混流生産ライン4の場合、2人の作業者20k,20lで済む。そして、各作業者20k,20lの工程編成率は、いずれも100%になる。
 これに対し、上記のような自走式搬送台車30の走行路が設けられなければ、1人の作業者20kと2人の作業者20lの合計3人必要になる。
 したがって、混流生産ライン4の場合は、自走式搬送台車30の走行路を工夫することで、作業領域21kにおける工程の工数と、作業領域21lにおける工程の工数とを、設備10lを越えて調整することができる。
 その結果、作業者を無駄に配置することがなくなり、作業領域21k,21lにおける作業効率を向上させることができる。
 図5は、本発明による混流生産ラインの第5実施形態を示す要部の概略的平面図である。
 この混流生産ライン5は、図1、図2、図3に示す混流生産ライン1,2,3に付加的に組み合わされる。混流生産ライン5は、自走式搬送台車30の走行路を除いて、図4に示す混流生産ライン4と同様のものである。
 上記の混流生産ライン5において、ラインタクトを例えば500秒、作業領域21kにおける工程の工数を例えば600秒、作業領域21lにおける工程の工数を例えば400秒と仮定する。
 この場合、自走式搬送台車30の走行路がつぎのように設けられる。
 すなわち、作業領域21kと、それより下流側の設備10lのさらに下流側の作業領域21lとの間には、作業領域21kから設備10lを通過して作業領域21lへ向けて走行路31k2が設けられる。この走行路31k2は、作業領域21kから発進する自走式搬送台車30を、設備10lを通過して作業領域21lへ直接導く。
 作業領域21lと、それより上流側の設備10lとの間には、作業領域21lから設備10lへ向けて走行路31k3が設けられる。この走行路31k3は、作業領域21lから発進する自走式搬送台車30を、設備10lへ戻す。
 また、設備10lから作業領域21lへ向けて走行路31l1が設けられる。
 この混流生産ライン5の場合、作業領域21kにおける工程は、500秒のラインタクトに対して600秒の工数がある。そこで、作業者20kは、そのうち500秒の工数だけ作業する。そのため、この作業者20kの工程編成率はラインタクト一杯の100%になる。
 作業領域21kで500秒分の作業工数が終了したワークは、自走式搬送台車30によって、設備10lを通過して作業領域21lへ搬送される。
 そのため、作業者20lは、作業領域21kにおける工程の残り100秒分の工数を作業することができる。
 これにより、作業領域21kにおける工程の600秒分の全ての工数が終了する。
 続いてワークは、自走式搬送台車30によって設備10lへ搬送されて、所定工程の工数が作業される。
 設備10lにおける作業終了後、ワークは、自走式搬送台車30によって再び作業領域21lへ搬送される。
 作業領域21lにおける工程は、500秒のラインタクトに対して400秒の工数しかない。ところが、作業者20lは、作業領域21kにおける工程のうち100秒分の工数を既に作業済みである。
 作業者20lは、これに加えて、作業領域21lにおける工程の400秒分の工数を作業する。そのため、この作業者20lの工程編成率はラインタクト一杯の100%になる。
 このように、混流生産ライン5では、図4に示す混流生産ライン4の場合と同様に、2人の作業者20k,20lで済む。また、各作業者20k,20lの工程編成率は、いずれも100%である。さらに、作業領域21kにおける工程の工数と、作業領域21lにおける工程の工数とを、設備10lを越えて調整することができる。
 その結果、作業者を無駄に配置することがなくなり、作業効率を向上させることができる。
 なお、図1、図2、図3に示す実施形態の混流生産ライン1,2,3は4台の生産設備10k,10l,10m,10nを備え、また、図4、図5に示す実施形態の混流生産ライン4,5は3台の生産設備10k,10l,10mを備えるものとして説明した。しかし、本発明はこれに限定されず、混流生産ライン1,2,3,4,5のいずれについても、生産設備10を1台以上何台でも備えることが可能である。
 また、上記の実施形態では、生産設備10を備えた混流生産ラインとして説明した。しかし、本発明はこれに限定されず、例えば、生産設備ではなく組立設備を備えた混流組立ライン、または、生産設備ではなく生産装置を備えた混流生産ラインにも適用することができる。

Claims (5)

  1.  少なくとも2機種のワークに対する作業に共用される生産設備と、
     機種別にワークに対する作業を行う作業者のための作業領域と、
     前記生産設備と前記作業領域との間でワークを搬送する自走式搬送台車と、
    を備え、前記各機種のワークを混流生産するラインであって、
     機種別に前記自走式搬送台車の走行路が設けられることにより、前記生産設備および前記作業領域を含む機種別の専用ラインが構成される混流生産ライン。
  2.  請求項1に記載の混流生産ラインにおいて、
     前記生産設備を複数備え、
     前記作業領域には前記生産設備間における機種別の工程が割り当てられる混流生産ライン。
  3.  請求項2に記載の混流生産ラインにおいて、
     前記各機種は互いに生産台数が異なり、
     前記機種間の生産台数の偏差に応じて、ラインタクトがより長い機種の前記専用ラインの作業領域には、ラインタクトがより短い機種の前記専用ラインの作業領域に比べてより多くの工数が割り当てられる混流生産ライン。
  4.  請求項3に記載の混流生産ラインにおいて、
     前記機種間の生産台数の偏差に応じて、ラインタクトがより長い機種の前記専用ラインでは、特定の前記生産設備より上流側の前記作業領域の工程および下流側の前記作業領域の工程が同一の作業者に割り当てられる混流生産ライン。
  5.  請求項4に記載の混流生産ラインにおいて、
     前記特定の生産設備より上流側の前記作業領域と下流側の前記作業領域とが実質的に同じ場所に配置される混流生産ライン。
