Abstract

 本発明の金属の精製方法は、金属からなる母材に電子ビームを照射して溶解したあと、この溶解された母材を凝固させることによって前記母材を精製する金属の精製方法であって、高真空雰囲気中に配置された水冷坩堝中に装填された前記母材の表面の全域に亘って前記電子ビームを照射して、前記母材を全て溶解する工程と;前記溶解された母材に対して前記電子ビームを照射した状態を保ちつつ、前記電子ビームの出力を徐々に弱めることで、前記溶解された母材の溶湯底部から前記電子ビーム照射側の溶湯表部に向けて前記溶解された前記母材を徐々に凝固させる工程と;前記溶解された母材の凝固を所定の割合まで進めた後、未凝固の溶湯部を除去する工程と;を含む。
