また、シリコーンの側鎖にエーテル結合を介して反応性二重結合を有する重合体の存在下に、特定の親水性ビニルモノマーと水酸基含有ビニルモノマーとカルボキシル基含有ビニルモノマーとを共重合して得られるグラフト共重合体を含有してなる防汚被覆用組成物が、再塗装性や貯蔵安定性をはじめ、防汚性に優れることが知られている(特許文献3参照)。
しかし、前記塗料を用いて形成された被膜は、汚染除去性の点で十分といえるものではなく、例えば被膜表面に付着した油性の汚れを、布等で拭くなどして除去しようとしても、被膜表面に汚れが残留する場合があった。また、前記被膜の埃付着防止性や耐擦傷性もまた、ディスプレイをはじめとする精密部品分野等で求められるレベルに及ぶものではなかった。
また、本発明のラジカル重合性組成物は、活性エネルギー硬化、過酸化物と還元剤との併用による常温硬化、過酸化物の使用による加熱硬化、いずれの硬化方法によっても硬化することから、用途に応じた硬化方法を採用することができる。
前記ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(a)としては、アルキレンオキサイドの開環反応物からなるポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖が、主鎖としてのポリシロキサン鎖にペンダント状にグラフトしたものを使用することが重要である。
例えば、前記ポリシロキサン(a)の代わりに、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖とポリシロキサン鎖とからなるブロック共重合体を使用した場合、良好な埃付着防止性と汚染除去性とを有する被膜を形成することはできるものの、高硬度で耐擦傷性に優れた被膜を形成することは困難である。一方、前記ポリシロキサン(a)を使用して得られたウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)を使用すれば、埃付着防止性と汚染除去性と耐擦傷性とに優れた高硬度な被膜を形成可能なラジカル重合性組成物を得ることができる。
前記イソシアネート基含有化合物(b)とは、分子中にイソシアネート基を2個以上有するものを指し、例えば、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、イソホロンジイソシアネート、メチレンビス(4-シクロヘキシルイソシアネート)、トリメチルヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、2,4-トリレンジイソシアネート及びその異性体又はこれら異性体の混合物、4,4-ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート(以下MDIと略す)、キシリレンジイソシアネート、ノルボルネンジイソシアネート等のジイソシアネート;前記ジイソシアネートとトリメチロールプロパン等の3価以上の脂肪族多価アルコールとのアダクト体;ジイソシアネートの3量体であるイソシアヌレート構造体;ジイソシアネートと水との反応によるビュレット体;もしくはポリメリックMDI等を使用することもできるが、なかでもイソシアネート基を2個有するイソシアネート基含有化合物を使用することが好ましい。
前記2個以上の重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)は、被膜の硬度を高め、耐擦傷性向上効果を付与するうえで必須成分である。前記重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)の代わりに、一般に知られる2-ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレートのような重合性不飽和二重結合を1個有する単量体のみを用いても、耐擦傷性向上効果を付与することはできない。
また、前記重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)は、前記イソシアネート基含有化合物(b)の有するイソシアネート基と反応しウレタン結合を形成しうる水酸基を有することが好ましい。
前記重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(e)としては、例えば2-ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート、2-ヒドロキシプロピル(メタ)アクリレート、4-ヒドロキシブチル(メタ)アクリレート、及びそれらのε-カプロラクトン付加物等を使用することができる。
前記重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)と前記重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(e)との質量割合は、(d)/(e)=1/0~1/1であることが好ましく、(d)/(e)=1/0.1~1/1であることがより好ましい。
第1段目の反応工程は、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(a)の水酸基1当量とイソシアネート基含有化合物(b)のイソシアネート基2当量以上を反応させることによって、ポリシロキサン(a)由来の構造とイソシアネート基とを有する化合物(c)を得る工程である。
この反応工程は、窒素雰囲気下で、室温~100℃程度の範囲で行うことが好ましい。また、前記反応工程は、無溶剤下で行うこともできるが、必要に応じて有機溶剤や、後述する重合性不飽和単量体(C)を溶媒として使用することもできる。
また、前記第1段目の反応工程では、必要に応じて触媒を使用しても良い。
前記触媒としては、例えばテトラブチルチタネート、テトラプロピルチタネート、テトラエチルチタネート等の有機チタン化合物;オクチル酸錫、ジブチル錫オキシド、シブチル錫ジラウレート等の有機錫化合物;さらには、塩化第一錫、臭化第一錫、ヨウ化第一錫等の酸やアルカリ等公知の触媒を用いることができる。これらの触媒の添加量は、全仕込み量に対して10~10、000ppmであることが好ましい。
前記重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)は、前記化合物(c)のイソシアネート基1当量に対して、重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)の有する水酸基1~1.5当量の範囲で用いることが好ましい。
この反応工程は、窒素雰囲気下で、室温~90℃程度の範囲で行うことが好ましい。また、前記反応工程は、無溶剤下で行うこともできるが、必要に応じて有機溶剤や、後述する重合性不飽和単量体(C)を溶媒として使用することもできる。
また、前記第2段目の反応工程では、必要に応じて前記第1段目の反応工程で使用できるものとして例示した触媒と同様のものを使用しても良い。
また、前記重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)の有する重合性不飽和二重結合のラジカル重合を抑制するために、必要に応じてラジカル重合禁止剤を使用することができる。
前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B)は、前記ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(a)由来の構造を有さないこと以外は、前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)と同様のものであって、前記イソシアネート基含有化合物(b)と、前記水酸基と2個以上の重合性不飽和二重結合を有する重合性単量体(d)との反応物である。
前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B)の製造に使用するイソシアネート基含有化合物(b)と重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)としては、前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)の製造に使用できるものとして例示したものと同様のものを使用することができる。
具体的には、前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)製造の際に、前記ポリシロキサン(a)の使用量に対して、前記イソシアネート基含有化合物(b)及び前記重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)を過剰に使用することによって、前記(A)及び(B)を一括して製造することができる。

また、前記したようにウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)とウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B)とを一括して製造した場合には、それらの混合物と重合性不飽和単量体(C)とを混合、攪拌することによって、本発明のラジカル重合性組成物を製造する。

NCO当量が、前記ポリシロキサンの有する水酸基が全てイソシアネート基と反応した場合の理論値とほぼ同じ123となったのを確認した後、50℃に冷却し、ペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレートを375質量部(1.26mol)、2-ヒドロキシエチルアクリレートを122質量部(1.05mol)加え、反応促進触媒としてスズ触媒を0.02質量部添加し、空気雰囲気下90℃で7時間反応させた。
NCO%が0.3質量%以下となった後、ハイドロキノン0.1質量部を加えることによって、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A-1)と、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B-1)との質量割合[(A-1)/(B-1)]が3/37である混合物(I)を得た。
ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A-2)と、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B-2)との混合物(II)の調製
温度計、攪拌機、不活性ガス導入口、及び還流冷却器を備えた2リットルの四つ口フラスコに、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(FZ-2191 東レ・ダウコーニング(株)製、水酸基価45.9)を59質量部(0.048mol)仕込み、ノルボルネンジイソシアネートを330質量部(1.6mol)加え発熱を抑制しながら80℃で2時間反応させた。NCO当量が理論値とほぼ同じ123となり安定した後、50℃に冷却し、ペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレートを1201質量部(4.03mol)加え、反応促進触媒としてスズ触媒を0.04質量部添加し、空気雰囲気下90℃で7時間反応させた。
NCO%が0.3質量%以下となった後、ハイドロキノン0.2質量部を加えることによって、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A-2)と、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B-2)との質量割合[(A-2)/(B-2)]が2.4/37.6である混合物(II)を得た。
ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(a)由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A-3)と、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(a)由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B-3)との混合物(III)の調製
温度計、攪拌機、不活性ガス導入口、及び還流冷却器を備えた2リットルの四つ口フラスコに、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(FZ-2191 東レ・ダウコーニング(株)製、水酸基価45.9)を44質量部(0.036mol)仕込み、トリレンジイソシアネートを208.8質量部(1.2mol)加え発熱を抑制しながら80℃で2時間反応させた。NCO当量が理論値とほぼ同じ107となり安定した後、50℃に冷却し、ペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレートを894質量部(3mol)加え、反応促進触媒としてスズ触媒を0.03質量部添加し、空気雰囲気下90℃で5時間反応させた。NCO%が0.3質量%以下となった後、ハイドロキノン0.15質量部を加えることによって、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A-3)と、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B-3)との質量割合[(A-3)/(B-3)]が3.0/37.0である混合物(III)を得た。
ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(IV)の調製
温度計、攪拌機、不活性ガス導入口、及び還流冷却器を備えた1リットルの四つ口フラスコに、ノルボルネンジイソシアネートを206質量部(1mol)、ペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレートを375質量部(1.26mol)、2-ヒドロキシエチルアクリレートを122質量部(1.05mol)加え、反応促進触媒としてスズ触媒を0.02質量部添加し、空気雰囲気下90℃で7時間反応させた。
NCO%が0.3質量%以下となったのを確認した後、ハイドロキノン0.1質量部を加えることによって、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(IV)を得た。
ポリシロキサン共重合体由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(V)の調製
温度計、攪拌機、不活性ガス導入口、及び還流冷却器を備えた1リットルの四つ口フラスコに、ポリシロキサンジオール(信越化学製信越シリコーンKF-6001、水酸基価62)を362質量部(0.2mol)、イソホロンジイソシアネートを88.8質量部(0.4mol)仕込み、窒素雰囲気中で反応温度を80℃で5時間に保持した後、NCO当量が理論値とほぼ同じ1127となり安定した後、50℃に冷却し、ペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレートを75.1質量部(0.25mol)、2-ヒドロキシエチルアクリレートを24.4質量部(0.21mol)加え、反応促進触媒としてスズ触媒を0.015質量部添加し、空気雰囲気中において90℃で5時間反応させた。NCO%が0.3質量%以下になったのを確認した後、ハイドロキノン0.07質量部を加えることによって、ポリシロキサン共重合体由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(V)を得た。
ポリエーテルポリシロキサンブロック共重合体由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A’-1)と、ポリエーテルポリシロキサンブロック共重合体由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B’-1)との混合物(VI)の調製
温度計、攪拌機、不活性ガス導入口、及び還流冷却器を備えた1リットルの四つ口フラスコに、ポリエーテルポリシロキサンブロック共重合体(X-22-4272 信越化学工業株式会社製、水酸基価50)を67.3質量部(0.03mol)仕込み、イソホロンジイソシアネートを222質量部(1mol)加え発熱を抑制しながら80℃で2時間反応させた。NCO当量が理論値とほぼ同じ147となり安定した後、50℃に冷却し、2-ヒドロキシエチルアクリレートを243.6質量部(2.1mol)加え、反応促進触媒としてスズ触媒を0.015質量部添加し、空気雰囲気下90℃で7時間反応させた。
NCO%が0.3質量%以下となった後、ハイドロキノン0.07質量部を加えることによって、ポリエーテルポリシロキサンブロック共重合体由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A’-1)と、ポリエーテルポリシロキサンブロック共重合体由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B’-1)との質量割合[(A’-1)/(B’-1)]が6.8/33.2である混合物(VI)を得た。
重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)を使用せずに製造したポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A’-2)と、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B’-2)との混合物(VII)の調製
温度計、攪拌機、不活性ガス導入口、及び還流冷却器を備えた1リットルの四つ口フラスコに、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(FZ-2191 東レ・ダウコーニング(株)製、水酸基価45.9)を55.5質量部(0.045mol)仕込み、ノルボルネンジイソシアネートを309質量部(1.5mol)加え発熱を抑制しながら80℃で2時間反応させた。NCO当量が理論値とほぼ同じ123となり安定した後、50℃に冷却し、2-ヒドロキシエチルアクリレートを365質量部(3.15mol)加え、反応促進触媒としてスズ触媒を0.02質量部添加し、空気雰囲気下90℃で7時間反応させた。NCO%が0.3質量%以下となった後、ハイドロキノン0.1質量部を加えることによって、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A’-2)と、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B’-2)との質量割合[(A’-2)/(B’-2)]が3.9/36.1との混合物(VII)を得た。
(被膜作成方法)
合成例1から3ならびに比較合成例4から7で得られたウレタン(メタ)アクリレートまたは混合物と、重合性不飽和単量体とを、以下の表1及び2に記載の組成に従って混合することで、実施例1~6及び比較例1、3~5のラジカル重合性組成物を調製した。また、比較例2では、更に、FZ-2191(東レ・ダウコーニング(株)製 ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン)を混合したラジカル重合性組成物を調製した。
上記で得られた被膜の性能は、以下の方法で評価した。
汚染除去性(1):被膜表面に油性マジック(ゼブラ(株)製 油性マーカー ハイマッキー太字黒色)を用いて字を書き、それを乾いた布で拭き取った後の被膜表面外観を観察した。油性マジックのインクが被膜表面に全く残っていなかったものを「○」、一部インクが残っていたものの実用上使用可能なものを「△」、被膜に半分以上のインク残りがみられたものを「×」と評価した。
一方、比較例1(本発明の必須成分であるウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)に相当するものを含まないラジカル重合性組成物)においては、汚染除去性(1)、汚染除去性(2)、及び埃付着防止性が劣っていた。
また、比較例2(本発明の必須成分であるウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)に相当するものの代わりに、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(FZ-2191)を用いるラジカル重合性組成物)においては、汚染除去性(1)は優れていたものの、汚染除去性(2)が劣っていた。
また、比較例3(ポリシロキサン(a)と相違する、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有さないポリシロキサン共重合体由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(V)を用いるラジカル重合性組成物)においては、塗膜外観が不透明であり、汚染除去性(2)、埃付着防止性、及び耐擦傷性が劣っていた。
また、比較例4(ポリシロキサン(a)と相違する、ポリエーテルポリシロキサンブロック共重合体由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A’-1)を含有する混合物(VI)を用いるラジカル重合性組成物)においては、表面硬度及び耐擦傷性が劣っていた。
また、比較例5(本発明の必須成分である重合性不飽和二重結合含有単量体(d)に相当するものを使用せずに製造した、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A’-2)を含む混合物(VII)を用いるラジカル重合性組成物)においては、表面硬度及び耐擦傷性が劣っていた。
Claims (8)
- ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(a)由来の構造を有するウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)、
前記ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(a)由来の構造を有さないウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B)、及び
重合性不飽和単量体(C)を含有してなり、
前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)が、ポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサン(a)と、2個以上の重合性不飽和二重結合を有する重合性単量体(d)とが、イソシアネート基含有化合物(b)を介して結合したものであることを特徴とするラジカル重合性組成物。 - 前記ポリシロキサン(a)が、主鎖としてのポリシロキサン鎖に側鎖としてアルキレンオキサイドの2~15モル付加物からなるポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖がグラフトしたものである、請求項1に記載のラジカル重合性組成物。
- 前記ポリシロキサン(a)が、2個以上のアルキル基またはフェニル基が結合した珪素原子から構成されるものである、請求項1に記載のラジカル重合性組成物。
- 前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B)の全量に対する前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)の質量割合が[(A)/(B)]=1/1~1/50の範囲である、請求項1に記載のラジカル重合性組成物。
- 前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)が、末端水酸基のポリアルキレンオキサイド鎖を側鎖に有するポリシロキサンと、水酸基及び2個以上の重合性不飽和二重結合を有する重合性単量体(d)と、イソシアネート基含有化合物(b)との反応物である、請求項1に記載のラジカル重合性組成物。
- 前記ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(B)が、イソシアネート基含有化合物(b)及び水酸基と2個以上の重合性不飽和二重結合を有する重合性単量体(d)の反応物である、請求項1に記載のラジカル重合性組成物。
- 請求項1~6のいずれかに記載のラジカル重合性組成物からなる被覆材。
- 基材表面に請求項7記載の被覆材を用いて形成された被膜を有する複合体。
