- 2 is a calcining furnace
- 3 is a cement kiln
- 4 is a clinker cooler
- 5 is a stabilizer (moisture-adjusting column)
- 6 Electric dust collector (EP)
- 7 is a bag filter
- 8 is a water washing tank (water washing means)
- 9 is a filter (solid-liquid separation means)
- 10 is a thallium separation apparatus (reaction deposition tank 11 and a thallium separator 12).

- the stabilizer 5 is an apparatus in which an inlet and an outlet for combustion gas are provided in a hollow tower, and a watering device (not shown) is provided in the tower.
- a demineralization bypass device (not shown) is provided in the tower for extracting chlorine from the combustion gas discharged from the downstream side of the suspension preheater 1, that is, from the uppermost cyclone 1 d or the kiln bottom of the cement kiln 3. Either or both of the exhausted combustion gases are introduced, and the combustion gas introduced by watering in the tower is humidified and the temperature thereof is lowered.
- the dust (dust) in the combustion gas is aggregated with the humidification and the temperature decrease, and settles at the bottom of the tower and is collected.
- the combustion gas has an inlet temperature of 200 to 450 ° C. and an outlet temperature of 120 to 200 ° C.
- the electrostatic precipitator 6 charges the dust (dust) in the introduced combustion gas by discharge using a negative electrode wire, and introduces the combustion gas between a pair of positive electrode plates, thereby removing the charged dust in the combustion gas. It is an apparatus that collects dust by adsorbing to the positive electrode plate, and the temperature of the introduced combustion gas is generally 85 to 180 ° C.
- the bag filter 7 is a device that collects dust (dust) in the combustion gas by introducing and allowing the combustion gas to pass through a bag-like filter made of a non-woven fabric having air permeability, and the introduced combustion gas. The temperature is generally 85 to 150 ° C.
- the water washing tank 8 is a device that obtains a slurry (or an aqueous solution) by washing the dust collected by one or more of the stabilizer 5, the electrostatic precipitator 6, and the bag filter 7 with water. Specifically, new water (hereinafter also referred to as new water) is poured and stored, and the dust is put into the new water, immersed, stirred and washed with water, so that thallium ions in the dust are removed. It is an apparatus for obtaining a slurry (or an aqueous solution) in which a water-soluble component contained is eluted in water. In this rinsing tank 8, secondary water discharged from the cement production facility can be used instead of fresh water.
- the filter 9 is a device that separates the slurry (or aqueous solution) containing thallium ions discharged from the washing tank 8 into a cake (solid content) containing calcium components and a filtrate containing thallium ions using a filter.
- the filter 9 include a pressure filter.
- a cake containing a calcium component is effectively used as a cement raw material.
- the reaction precipitation tank 11 is a device for depositing thallium ions dissolved in the filtrate as thallium oxide by passing a direct current through the filtrate containing thallium ions discharged from the filter 9.
- the thallium separator 12 is an apparatus for separating the filtrate in which thallium oxide discharged from the reaction precipitation tank 11 is separated into cake-like sludge containing thallium oxide and the filtrate.
- Examples of the thallium separator 12 include a cross-flow type microfiltration device and a centrifuge.
- a trace amount of metal may be dissolved in the filtrate discharged from the thallium separator 12. In this case, it is preferable to remove the metal dissolved in the filtrate using an ion exchange resin.
- the thallium recovery method of this embodiment is a demineralization bypass device for extracting chlorine from the combustion gas discharged from the uppermost cyclone 1d of the suspension preheater 1 of the cement production facility or the kiln bottom of the cement kiln 3.
- This is a method for recovering thallium contained in combustion gas discharged from (not shown). Specifically, dust contained in the combustion gas is collected, the collected dust is washed with water to obtain a slurry or an aqueous solution, the slurry or the aqueous solution is solid-liquid separated, and thallium is recovered.
- a predetermined amount of fresh water for example, 2 to 4 times as much fresh water as the above-mentioned dust to be washed is poured and stored in the water washing tank 8, and a predetermined amount of dust is poured into this new water, and immersed and stirred.
- the slurry is washed with water to obtain a slurry (or an aqueous solution) in which water-soluble components containing thallium ions in the dust are eluted in water.
- the reason for limiting the amount of fresh water injected as described above is that if the amount of water injected is less than 2 times the weight of the dust, the elution of water-soluble components including thallium ions in the dust will be insufficient. This is because the amount of water-soluble components containing thallium ions remaining in the cake obtained by filtering with the filter 9 is increased. Moreover, it is because the viscosity of the obtained slurry (or aqueous solution) becomes high and it becomes difficult to transport the pump to the subsequent process. In addition, when the amount of water injection is 4 times or more that of dust, elution of components other than thallium ions such as calcium components and heavy metals increases. Therefore, in the subsequent process, the chemicals for removing these components are removed. This is because the amount used increases.
- the temperature in the washing tank 8 may be increased to 40 ° C. or higher in order to increase the dissolution rate of the water-soluble component containing thallium ions.
- the stirring time may be within 1 hour, and the water-soluble component containing sufficient thallium ions can be eluted within this stirring time. Stirring for a long time is not preferable because a salt containing calcium or the like contained in dust may be generated and precipitate may be generated.
- the amount of thallium contained in the dust can be maximized by using a strong alkaline aqueous solution in which sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and / or potassium hydroxide (KOH) is dissolved in water.
- the hydrogen ion concentration (pH) of the aqueous sodium hydroxide solution or the aqueous potassium hydroxide solution is preferably 13-14.
- a slurry (or an aqueous solution) containing thallium ions discharged from the washing tank 8 is introduced into the filter 9 and separated into a cake (solid content) containing calcium components and a filtrate containing thallium ions by a filter.
- a filter During the separation, it is preferable to wash the water-soluble component containing thallium ions remaining in the cake in the filter 9 with fresh water.
- the cleaning using the fresh water can be efficiently performed with a small amount of water by pumping the fresh water from one direction to the cake while the filter 9 is pressurized.
- the fresh water used for this washing is preferably 0.5 to 2.0 times by weight the amount of dust washed.
- the obtained cake has a relatively low moisture content, it is sent directly to a cement production facility and mixed with other cement raw materials. This mixture is dried and pulverized, then recycled as a powder cement raw material in a cement firing step, and fired as a cement clinker.
- reaction precipitation process A filtrate containing thallium ions discharged from the filter 9 is put into the reaction precipitation tank 11. By energizing this filtrate through an electrode and electrolyzing a part of water in the filtrate, simultaneously dissolved thallium ions are precipitated as thallium oxide and changed into a fine suspended substance. During this electrolysis, metals such as lead, copper, and zinc are deposited on the electrode and removed from the filtrate. Deposited metals such as lead are separately collected periodically from the anode.
- the thallium recovery method of the present embodiment uses the combustion gas discharged from the uppermost cyclone 1d of the suspension preheater 1 of the cement manufacturing facility or the chlorine provided in the kiln bottom of the cement kiln 3.
- This is a method for recovering thallium contained in combustion gas discharged from a desalting bypass device (not shown) for extracting air.
- dust contained in the combustion gas downstream from the gas outlet of the suspension preheater or the gas outlet of the cement kiln demineralizer is collected, and the collected dust is washed with water to obtain a slurry or an aqueous solution.
- the slurry or aqueous solution is subjected to solid-liquid separation to recover thallium. Therefore, high-purity thallium can be obtained easily and inexpensively. Further, the separated solid content can be effectively used as a cement raw material for the cement production facility, and the production cost in the cement production facility can be reduced.
- the thallium recovery device of the present embodiment collects dust contained in the combustion gas in the combustion gas flow path downstream from the gas outlet of the suspension preheater of the cement manufacturing facility or the gas outlet of the demineralizer of the cement kiln.
- Three types of dust were used: EP dust collected by the above method, and bag dust collected by the bag filter 7 from the above combustion gas.
- Table 1 shows the content of thallium (Tl) in these dusts.
- Stabilized dust refers to dust collected by a stabilizer (humidity control tower).
- the combustion gas dust contains about several hundred to several thousand ppm of thallium and adheres to finer particles. Looking at the thallium content of this dust at each collection point, it is 500 mg / kg for stabilizer dust, 1300 mg / kg for EP dust, and 2200 mg / kg for bag dust, so the lower the cement manufacturing process, the higher the concentration. I understand that
- bag dust is most preferable.
- This bag dust is preferable for removing and collecting thallium because it has a high thallium concentration, high dust collection efficiency, little emission from combustion gas, and little dust is generated.

Abstract
