- FIG. 6 to 11 illustrate the dot pattern 101.
- FIG. 6 to 11 illustrate the dot pattern 101.
- GRID1 ⁇ Description of dot pattern GRID1> Based on FIGS. 6 to 10, a dot pattern called GRID1 will be described as an example of the dot pattern 101 used in the present embodiment.
- the grid lines in the vertical and horizontal diagonal directions are given for convenience of explanation and do not exist on the actual printing surface.
- the dot pattern 101 includes key dots 102, reference grid point dots 103, and information dots 104.
- the dot pattern 101 is generated by arranging fine dots, that is, key dots 102, reference grid dot dots 103, and information dots 104 in accordance with a predetermined rule in order to recognize numerical information by a dot code generation algorithm.
- the block of the dot pattern 101 representing information has a 5 ⁇ 5 reference grid point dot 103 arranged on the basis of the key dot 102, and the center of the dot pattern 101 is surrounded by the four reference grid point dots 103.
- An information dot 104 is arranged around the virtual grid point 105.
- Arbitrary numerical information is defined in this block. Note that the example of FIG. 6 shows a state in which four blocks (inside the thick line frame) of the dot pattern 101 are arranged in parallel. Of course, the dot pattern 101 is not limited to four blocks.
- the key dot 102 is a dot in which four reference lattice point dots 103 at the corners of the four corners of the block are shifted in a certain direction.
- the key dot 102 is a representative point of the dot pattern 101 for one block including the information dot 104.
- the reference grid dot 103 at the corners of the four corners of the dot pattern 101 is shifted upward by 0.1 mm.
- this numerical value is not limited to this, and can be changed according to the size of the block of the dot pattern 101.
- the displacement of the key dots 102 is preferably about 20% of the lattice interval in order to avoid misidentification with the reference lattice point dots 103 and the information dots 104.
- the information dot 104 is a dot for recognizing various information.
- the information dot 104 is arranged around the key dot 102 as a representative point, and the center of the grid surrounded by the four reference grid point dots 103 is defined as a virtual grid point 105. It is arranged at the end point represented by the vector as the start point.
- the interval between the information dot 104 and the virtual lattice point 105 surrounded by the four reference lattice point dots 103 is preferably about 15 to 30% of the distance between the adjacent virtual lattice point 105. . This is because if the distance between the information dot 104 and the virtual lattice point 105 is shorter than this distance, the dots are easily recognized as a large lump, and the dot pattern 101 becomes unsightly. On the other hand, if the distance between the information dot 104 and the virtual grid point 105 is longer than this distance, the identification of which of the adjacent virtual grid points 105 is the information dot 104 having the vector directionality from the start point is confirmed. This is because it becomes difficult.
- the image data obtained by capturing the dot pattern 101 by the sensor unit 3 corrects the distortion caused by the sensor unit 3, so that a lens having a high distortion rate is obtained. Even when the image data of the dot pattern 101 is captured by the popular sensor unit 3 with the mark, the dot arrangement can be recognized accurately. Even if the sensor unit 3 is read while being tilted with respect to the surface of the dot pattern 101, the dot pattern 101 can be accurately recognized.
- the key dots 102, the information dots 104, and the reference grid dots 103 are printed using invisible ink or carbon ink that absorbs infrared light when the sensor unit 3 performs dot reading by infrared irradiation. desirable.
- the interval between the reference lattice point dots 103 may be at least about 0.5 mm. In the case of offset printing, it may be at least about 0.3 mm.
- the interval between the reference lattice point dots 103 may be about several ⁇ m, or finer if a design rule in nm unit is used.
- a dot pattern 101 having a dot interval can also be formed.
- any value may be used depending on the use of the dot pattern 101.
- the diameters of the key dots 102, the information dots 104, and the reference grid point dots 103 are preferably about 10% of the interval between the reference grid point dots 103.

- the information dot 104 is shifted in distance from the virtual lattice point 105 (for example, 0.1 mm) so that the information dot 104 has a direction and a length expressed by a vector, and rotated by 45 degrees clockwise.

- the information dot 104 is shifted from the virtual lattice point 105 in the plus (+) direction and the oblique (x) direction to define 2-bit information per information dot 104.
- this definition method unlike the definition method shown in FIG. 7A (which can originally define 48-bit information), depending on the application, one block is shifted in the plus (+) direction, and an oblique ( ⁇ 32 bits (2 bits ⁇ 16 lattices) of data can be given by dividing the data into lattices shifted in the direction.
- FIG. 8 shows an example of an information definition method based on another arrangement method of the information dots 104.

- the longer shift amount is about 25 to 30% of the distance between adjacent virtual lattice points 105, and the shorter shift amount is about 15 to 20%.
- the center interval between the information dots 104 is separated from the diameter of the information dots 104 so that the information dots 104 can be distinguished and recognized. It is desirable.
- the method of defining 4-bit information is not limited to the above-described definition method, and it is possible to express 4 bits by arranging information dots 104 in 16 directions, and it is needless to say that various changes can be made.

- the vector of concentric eight directions can represent information of one grating per 2 8 can represent 1 information blocks per 2 128 includes 16 grid.
- the sensor unit 3 captures the dot pattern 101 as image data, first extracts the reference grid point dot 103, and then places the dot at the position where the reference grid point dot 103 should be. This is done by extracting the key dots 102 due to the fact that they are not slanted, and then extracting the information dots 104.

- FIG. 6D shows 36 grids in one block. This is an example of the arrangement.
- the number of grids included in one block is not limited to 16, but can be variously changed.
- recording is performed on the dot pattern 101 by adjusting the number of grids included in one block and the number of information dots 104 included in one grid according to the amount of information required or the resolution of the sensor unit 3.
