Abstract

 蒸発器に供給する冷媒を予冷し、その乾き度をほぼ零にして液単相で供給することにより、蒸発器での交換熱量を大きくして冷却性能の向上ないしは蒸発器の小型化を図ることができる冷凍装置を提供する。冷媒を圧縮する圧縮機(2)と、高圧ガス冷媒を凝縮する凝縮器(3)と、凝縮した液冷媒の一部を蒸発させ、その蒸発潜熱により液冷媒を冷却するとともに、蒸発した中間圧冷媒を圧縮機の中間吸込み口に注入する回路を備えたエコノマイザ(4)と、液冷媒を断熱膨張する膨張弁(5)と、断熱膨張した冷媒を蒸発する蒸発器(7)とを順次接続して冷凍サイクル(8)を構成した冷凍装置(1)において、エコノマイザ(4)と蒸発器(7)との間に、蒸発器(7)に供給する冷媒を予冷する冷媒予冷器(15)を設けた。
