Abstract

充電及び放電を繰り返す際の放電時の電位の安定性に極めて優れるナトリウムイオン二次電池およびそれに用いるナトリウムイオンを効率よくドープかつ脱ドープすることのできるナトリウムイオン二次電池用負極活物質を提供する。本発明にかかるナトリウムイオン二次電池は、ナトリウムイオンをドープかつ脱ドープすることのできる正極活物質を含む正極と、ナトリウムイオンをドープかつ脱ドープすることのできるガラス状炭素材料を単体もしくは主成分として含有する負極活物質を含む負極と、ナトリウムイオンを含有する電解質とを含む。また、本発明にかかる非水電解質ナトリウムイオン二次電池用負極活物質は、ガラス状炭素材料を単体もしくは主成分として含む。
