Abstract

　本発明の偏光膜は、波長３８０ｎｍ～４８０ｎｍの範囲のいずれかの波長で最大吸収を示す黄色色素と、波長５８０ｎｍ～６８０ｎｍの範囲のいずれかの波長で最大吸収を示す青色色素と、を含むリオトロピック液晶性混合物を製膜したフィルムであり、前記黄色色素が、１，８－ナフトイレン－１’，２’－ベンゾイミダゾール誘導体である。 　本発明の偏光膜は、可視光の広い領域において高い吸収二色性を有する。
