Abstract

【課題】形成される画像のコントラストを充分に維持しつつ、残留電位に起因する画質低下を抑制することが可能な負帯電用電子写真感光体を提供する。 【解決手段】本発明に係る負帯電用電子写真感光体10は、基体18と、アモルファスシリコン系化合物からなり且つ基体18上に形成される光導電層19Aと、該光導電層19A上に形成される電荷注入阻止層19Bと、該電荷注入阻止層19B上に形成される表面層19Cと、を有してなる。電荷注入阻止層19Bは、N,O,Cからなる群より選択される少なくとも一つの元素、および、第13属元素を含んでなる。電荷注入阻止層19Bの光吸収係数は光導電層19Aの光吸収係数より小さく、光導電層19Aの屈折率に対する電荷注入阻止層19Bの屈折率の差は0より大きく0.9以下である。
