Abstract

 トルクコンバータの単位時間当りの発熱量が上限値以上になると、自動変速機をダウンシフトすることにより、トルクコンバータ、エンジンの特性に拘らず、作動油の温度が過上昇することを容易に防止する。  トルクコンバータの単位時間当りの発熱量が上限値以上になると、自動変速機をダウンシフトし、アップシフトを禁止する。下位変速段で走行中のエンジン回転数、エンジントルク、自動変速機の入力軸回転数、トルクコンバータの性能線図からアップシフト後の予想入力軸回転数及び予想入力トルクを演算する。予想入力軸回転数、予想入力トルク及び性能線図に基づいて予想速度比及び予想容量係数を演算する。該予想入力軸回転数、予想速度比、予想容量係数を用いてアップシフト後の単位時間当り予想発熱量を演算する。単位時間当り予想発熱量が下限値以下になるとアップシフトの禁止を解除する。
