Abstract

 流体動圧軸受2では、シャフト22の下部にスラストプレート23が取り付けられ、スリーブハウジング24の一部である有底略円筒状の下キャップ242によりスラストプレート23の下面が覆われる。スラストプレート23の下面にはスラスト動圧溝が形成され、下キャップ242の内底面にはスラスト動圧溝に向かって僅かに突出する環状突部2423が設けられる。  環状突部2423により、モータの回転時にスラスト動圧が高められる。環状突部2423は下キャップ242がプレス加工にて形成される際のエンボス加工により形成、これにより、容易かつ安価に環状突部2423を形成することができる。
