Abstract

　シールリップ摺動部に対する潤滑油の供給機能を高め、もってシールリップの耐久性を向上させる密封装置を提供する。この目的達成のため、ハウジングの軸孔内周に装着されて軸孔に挿通する軸の周面に摺動自在に密接する密封装置であって、ハウジングの軸孔内周に固定される筒状の固定部および軸の周面に摺動自在に密接するシールリップを一体に有する密封装置本体と、固定部の内周側に嵌合される筒状の嵌合部および嵌合部から径方向内方へ向けて設けられたフランジ状の油供給部とを一体に有する油供給部材とを備える。油供給部は、シールリップの先端よりも密封流体側に配置されるとともに、油供給部の内周縁部に径方向内方へ向けて突起が設けられ、突起の先端部へ向けて油伝達溝が設けられている。
