Abstract
円周方向のガタや軸心ずれの抑制を図ることができ、しかも、製作コストの低減を図ることができて実用化が可能な車輪用軸受装置を提供する。 ハブ輪1と複列の転がり軸受2と等速自在継手3とがユニット化され、前記等速自在継手3の外側継手部材は内側継手部材が内装されるマウス部11を備え、ハブ輪1の端部が加締られてハブ輪1に外嵌される転がり軸受2の内輪24に対して予圧が付与された車輪用軸受装置である。外側継手部材のマウス部11のハブ輪対応面40とハブ輪1の端部加締部31とが一体化される凹凸嵌合構造Mを備える。マウス部11の底壁12に硬度がハブ輪1の端部加締部31の硬度よりも高い径方向に延びる凸部41を形成し、マウス部側の凸部41のハブ輪1の端部加締部31に対する押圧によりハブ輪1の端部加締部31に凸部41に嵌合する径方向に延びる凹部42を形成して、凸部41と凹部42との嵌合接触部位全域が密接する凹凸嵌合構造Mを構成する。
