Abstract

【課題】バランサーと一体のアームのさらなる軽量化を実現した自動車エンジン用のクランクシャフトを提供する。 【解決手段】本発明の自動車エンジン用クランクシャフトは、中空軸状のジャーナル15及びピン14と、バランサー11が一体に形成されたアーム10とが、それぞれ個別に製作され、ジャーナル15とピン14にリング状の軸受が夫々組み込まれた構造を有する。そして、アーム10は、ジャーナル15をピン14の真上に位置させたとき、バランサーが11、ジャーナル15の軸心を中心とした円弧で、ジャーナル15の水平方向の中心線付近を基端とした扇状に形成され、その外縁部11aを厚肉に形成するとともにジャーナル15寄りを薄肉として凹部11bを形成し、アーム10の下端部は、上記円弧の円に内接する形状とした。
