Abstract

　磁性を有する金属材料に局部的に存在する高硬度部を確実に検出可能であると共に、高硬度部を除去するための手入れ処理を施した後に、該高硬度部が除去されているか否かを確実に確認することができる渦流検査方法を提供する。 　本発明に係る渦流検査方法は、差動型コイル１によって検出した金属材料Ｐの磁性変動信号とリフトオフ信号との位相差が１３５°以上となるように、前記差動型コイルに通電する交流電流の周波数を設定し、前記差動型コイルから出力された検出信号の振幅及び位相に基づいて、前記金属材料に存在する局部的な高硬度部を検出することを特徴とする。
