Abstract

 サーマルプリントヘッド(A)は、絶縁性の基板(1)と、基板(1)上に設けられた発熱抵抗体(2)と、発熱抵抗体(2)を覆う保護膜(4)を備える。保護膜(4)は、第1層(41)、第2層(42)および第3層(43)からなる。第1層(41)は、発熱抵抗体(2)に接している。第2層(42)は、第1層(41)を覆っている。第2層(42)は、第1層(41)よりも硬く、かつ、第1層(41)よりも大きな熱伝導率を有している。第3層(43)は、第2層(42)を覆う最外層である。第3層(43)は、第2層(42)よりも硬く、かつ、第2層(42)よりも厚みが小さい。
