Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Hinterspritzen oder Hinterspritzprägen einer Folie, insbesondere einer Schaumfolie. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren enthält die Schritte: a) Aufheizen der Folie auf Umform- und Narbtemperatur; b) Platzieren der Folie zwischen einer ersten und einer zweiten Werkzeughälfte eines geöffneten Werkzeuges, wobei die zweite Werkzeughälfte zumindest in einem Teilbereich ihrer Oberfläche eine Narbung aufweist; c) Abkühlen der Folie in ihrem der Narbung abgewandten, rückseitigen Bereich, so dass in der Folie ein von der Rückseite zur Vorderseite verlaufender Temperaturgradient erzeugt wird, wobei die Folie an ihrer Vorderseite auf Narbtemperatur bleibt; d) Vorformen der Folie zur besseren Anpassung der Folie an die Werkzeuggeometrie; e) Ansaugen der Folie an die Oberfläche der zweiten Werkzeughälfte durch AnIegen von Unterdruck im Bereich zwischen Oberfläche der zweiten Werkzeughälfte und Folie; f) Einspritzen oder Hinterspritzprägen einer Spritzgießmasse im Bereich zwischen Oberfläche der ersten Werkzeughälfte und Folie. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ermöglicht z.B. eine Schaumfolie zu hinterspritzen und mit einer Narbung zu versehen, wobei ein Kollabieren der Schaumfolie zumindest reduziert ist.
