Abstract

立方体状で、かつ平均粒径が大きい酸化マグネシウム粉末、及び、その製法を提供する。走査型電子顕微鏡にて観察した粒子形状が立方体状であり、かつレーザ回折散乱式粒度分布測定による累積50%粒子径(D50)が1.0μm以上である酸化マグネシウム粉末。当該粉末は、酸化マグネシウム前駆体を、当該前駆体全量に対して0.5~30質量%のハロゲン化物イオン存在下、閉鎖系で焼成することにより得ることができる。
