Abstract

 本発明は、モアレや色付きが低減された高画質の反射型及び半透過型の液晶表示装置を低コストで提供することを目的とする。 本発明の液晶表示装置は、複数の画素のそれぞれの中に反射領域を備えた液晶表示装置であって、反射領域は金属層(56)と半導体層(62)と反射層(63)とを備え、反射層(63)の表面には複数の凹部(68)及び凸部(67)が形成されており、複数の凹部(68)は金属層(56)の開口部(65)に応じて形成されており、複数の凸部(67)は半導体層(62)の形状を反映して形成されており、複数の凹部(68)のある方向に沿って隣接する複数の対は、凹部(68)の間隔が互いに異なる2つの対を含み、複数の凸部(67)のある方向に沿って隣接する複数の対は、凸部(67)の間隔が互いに異なる2つの対を含む。
