Abstract

【課題】 薄型で且つ光源から放たれた光を有効に利用することが可能な照光装置これを備えた入力装置を提供する。 【解決手段】 基板2に凹部2aが形成され、この中に発光素子6が設けられた状態で封止材9によって封止されている。このような基板2の上に、透明な薄い樹脂フィルムで形成された導光層4が接着層3を介して固定することにより、照光装置1Aの薄型化が可能となる。発光素子6で放たれた光は、封止材9および接着層3を介して導光層4に進入する。導光層4と接着層3との境界面および導光層4と空気層5との境界面で全反射した光が導光層4内を進行する。そして、このとき全反射しない一部の光が導光層4を形成する透明樹脂フィルムの表面から外部に漏れ出して照光装置1Aの表面の全体が明るく照光される。
