Abstract

 ポーラ変調方式において、アイソレータを不要として回路規模を抑え、パワーアンプの熱損失を抑圧するポーラ変調送信装置を開示する。この装置において、電流検出部(130)は、電源電圧制御部(120)からパワーアンプ(180)に流れる電流値Iccを検出し、電力制御部(140)は、電力制御信号S30を入力し、電流値Iccに基づいて、制御信号S31を電力印加部(150)に出力する。電力印加部(150)は、ベースバンド振幅変調信号S11に制御信号S31を掛け合わせることにより、振幅変調信号S13を形成し、レギュレータ(160)は、振幅変調信号S13によって電源電圧S21を変化させた電源電圧S22をパワーアンプ(180)に供給する。パワーアンプ(180)は、電源電圧S22を電源として位相変調高周波信号S14の電力を増幅し、RF送信信号S15を得る。
