  • the assembly 20 also comprises means for guiding the plate 10 during its displacement and which are formed by a carriage 30 shown especially in FIG. 3.
  • This carriage 30 is intended to slide on the profile 22 during the rotation of the pinion 25, that is to say during the displacement of this pinion 25 on the rack 21.
  • the edges 31 of the outer face of the trolley 30, directed towards the outside of the vehicle have a profile complementary to the internal profile of the profile 22.
  • the edges 31 of the carriage 30 comprise a first notch 31a for the positioning of a lateral branch 23 of the profile 22 and a second nick
  • This carriage 30 comprises on its inner face directed towards the inside of the motor vehicle, a sleeve 32 intended to cooperate with means for supporting and locking the plate 10, which will be described later.
  • the pinion 25 is associated with means for assisting its movement on the rack 21, comprising, as shown in FIG. 3, a coil spring 40 housed in the pinion 25, whose distal end 40a is connected to the pinion 25 and whose proximal end 40b is connected to the carriage 30 via the axis 26.
  • This coil spring 40 is preferably of constant stiffness and is substantially continuously prestressed, its preload being maximum when the pinion 25 is positioned at the lower part of the rack 21, as shown in FIG. 3.
  • the means for supporting and blocking the plate 10 comprise, for each rack-and-pinion system, a finger 50 carried by the plate 10, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4.
  • the fingers 50 are displaceable by a control member 51 (FIG 2) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, between a retracted position allowing the plate 10 to move between the different positions and a plateau locking position. 10 in one of these positions.
  • Each finger 50 passes through the sleeve 32 of a carriage 30 and opens facing the core 24 of the corresponding section 22.
  • This core 24 is pierced with holes 35 distributed at different heights along the length of the profile 22.
  • Each orifice 35 corresponds to a raised position of the plate 10 relative to the floor 3 of the trunk 2 of the motor vehicle. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, three orifices 35 are provided. Several other orifices 35 may also be provided on the web 24 of the section 22 to provide other intermediate positions. Similarly, the profile 22 may be provided longer to allow a larger scale of deployment to potentially allow the plate 10 to form a rear shelf for the trunk and no longer just a false floor.
