Definitions
- the present invention relates to an arrangement of a trunk of a motor vehicle, and to a motor vehicle comprising such a trunk arrangement.
- Motor vehicles have a boot compartment delimited, at its lower part, by a floor, laterally by two walls, at the front by a transverse dividing partition with the passenger compartment generally made by the rear seats, and at the rear by a boot panel or a tailgate.
- vehicles are known that are equipped with a false floor separating the trunk into two distinct spaces, a space below the false floor to put valuables or objects that we do not want put in contact with others, and a space above this false floor.
- the systems used up to now allowing this modularity of the trunk can be placed in two categories, a first category comprising removable false floors slid in grooves on the side walls of the trunk and a second category comprising non-removable false floors which are moved by translation or by pivoting between different positions.
- the spurious noise generated by the false floor during the movement of the vehicle are difficult to eradicate and access to the spare wheel placed in the bottom of the trunk can compel the user to completely remove the false floor which is a problem. risk of degradation because it must be removed from the vehicle.
- invention aims to provide an arrangement of a trunk especially for a motor vehicle that avoids these disadvantages. ..
- "invention therefore relates to an arrangement of a trunk for a motor vehicle, said trunk being delimited by a floor, two side walls and a partition wall of the passenger compartment and comprising a plate forming a false floor associated with means of translation of this plate between several variable positions in height to split the box into two separate loading compartments, characterized in that the translation means comprise, on each side edge of the plate, a rack gear system associated, on the one hand , means for assisting the movement of the pinion on the rack upwards and downwards, and secondly for means for guiding and blocking the plate in one of the positions.
- the arrangement comprises support elements for the rear part of the plate in each of said positions,
- the rack of each rack-and-pinion system is formed on the internal face of a lateral branch of a U-shaped section whose opening is directed towards the inside of the vehicle,
- each rack-and-pinion system extends in a vertical plane and is inclined upwards towards the rear of the vehicle
- the profile is fixed on a side wall of the trunk
- the means for guiding the plate on each section comprise a carriage displaceable by sliding on the corresponding profile by the pinion, said carriage being secured to the plate by means of the locking means,
- the edges of the external face of the carriage have a profile complementary to the internal profile of the corresponding profile
- the pinion is carried by a horizontal axis whose one end is secured to the carriage and a second end of which opens into a guide groove formed in the soul of the corresponding profile
- the means for assisting the displacement of each pinion comprise a prestressed spiral spring with constant stiffness and housed in said pinion, the distal end of the spring being connected to the pinion and the proximal end of this spring being connected to the guide means,
- the blocking means of the plate comprise, for each system, a rack pinion, a finger carried by the plate and passing through the guide means, said finger being movable by a control member between a retracted position for moving the plate between said positions; and a plateau locking position in one of these positions in which it cooperates with an orifice formed in the core of the corresponding section, and
- the invention also relates to a motor vehicle, characterized in that it comprises a boot arrangement as previously mentioned.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic view in longitudinal section of the rear part of a motor vehicle comprising a trunk arranged according to the invention
- FIG. 2 is a schematic perspective view of a plate forming a false floor in a trunk arrangement according to the invention
- FIG. 3 is a schematic perspective view of the translation means and means for assisting the displacement of the false floor inside the trunk,
- FIG. 4 is a diagrammatic perspective view on a larger scale of the guide and locking means of the false floor
- FIG. 5 is a schematic perspective view of the lining of a side wall of the box arranged according to the invention.
- orientations used are the usual orientations of a motor vehicle and the terms "front” and “rear” refer to the position of a driver and the normal direction of the vehicle.
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a rear portion of a motor vehicle generally designated by the reference 1, and which comprises, in a conventional manner, a box 2 delimited, at its lower part by a floor 3, at its front by a separation partition 4 with a passenger compartment 5 and, laterally, by side walls 6.
- the partition 4 is located behind the rear seats. This partition can obviously be an integral part of said rear seats.
- This trunk 2 is also delimited, at its rear part, by a trunk lid, which in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is constituted by a tailgate 7.
- this trunk In order to divide the trunk 2 into several separate compartments, this trunk
- a plate 10 forming a false floor movable between several positions shown in phantom in FIG. 1, and thus to divide the storage space of the trunk 2, for example in two superimposed storage spaces.
- the plate 10 is associated with translation means which allow to move it between the different positions and which are shown in more detail in Figs. 2 to 4.
- These translation means of the plate 10 comprise, on each lateral edge 10a of this plate 10, an assembly designated by the general reference 20.
- the two sets 20 being identical and symmetrical, a single assembly 20 will be described.
- the assembly 20 comprises a rack-and-pinion system formed by a rack 21 and a pinion 25 cooperating with this rack 21.
- the rack 21 is formed on the inner face of a side branch 23 of a profile "U" shaped 22 whose opening is directed towards the inside of the motor vehicle.
- This profile 22 thus comprises a core 24 and two lateral branches 23 on one of which is formed the rack 21.
- the profile 22 is fixed at its bottom on the floor 3, and on the side on a side wall 6.
- the profile 22 extends in a vertical plane and is inclined upwards towards the rear of the vehicle.
- the pinion 25 is placed in the housing formed by the section 22 and meshes with the rack 21.
- This pinion 25 is carried by a horizontal axis 26 which passes through an orifice 27 provided in a side wall 28 of this pinion 25.
- axis 26 has an end that opens into a guide groove 29 formed in the web 24 of the section 22, this groove 29 extending parallel to the lateral branches 23 of said profile 22.
- the assembly 20 also comprises means for guiding the plate 10 during its displacement and which are formed by a carriage 30 shown especially in FIG. 3.
- This carriage 30 is intended to slide on the profile 22 during the rotation of the pinion 25, that is to say during the displacement of this pinion 25 on the rack 21.
- the edges 31 of the outer face of the trolley 30, directed towards the outside of the vehicle have a profile complementary to the internal profile of the profile 22.
- the edges 31 of the carriage 30 comprise a first notch 31a for the positioning of a lateral branch 23 of the profile 22 and a second nick
- This carriage 30 comprises on its inner face directed towards the inside of the motor vehicle, a sleeve 32 intended to cooperate with means for supporting and locking the plate 10, which will be described later.
- the pinion 25 is associated with means for assisting its movement on the rack 21, comprising, as shown in FIG. 3, a coil spring 40 housed in the pinion 25, whose distal end 40a is connected to the pinion 25 and whose proximal end 40b is connected to the carriage 30 via the axis 26.
- This coil spring 40 is preferably of constant stiffness and is substantially continuously prestressed, its preload being maximum when the pinion 25 is positioned at the lower part of the rack 21, as shown in FIG. 3.
- the means for supporting and blocking the plate 10 comprise, for each rack-and-pinion system, a finger 50 carried by the plate 10, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4.
- the fingers 50 are displaceable by a control member 51 (FIG 2) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, between a retracted position allowing the plate 10 to move between the different positions and a plateau locking position. 10 in one of these positions.
- Each finger 50 passes through the sleeve 32 of a carriage 30 and opens facing the core 24 of the corresponding section 22.
- This core 24 is pierced with holes 35 distributed at different heights along the length of the profile 22.
- Each orifice 35 corresponds to a raised position of the plate 10 relative to the floor 3 of the trunk 2 of the motor vehicle. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, three orifices 35 are provided. Several other orifices 35 may also be provided on the web 24 of the section 22 to provide other intermediate positions. Similarly, the profile 22 may be provided longer to allow a larger scale of deployment to potentially allow the plate 10 to form a rear shelf for the trunk and no longer just a false floor. Thus, in each of the positions corresponding to an orifice 35, the free end of each finger 50 enters the corresponding orifice 35 so as to lock the plate 10 in the chosen position.
- each finger 50 is carried by a boss 52 formed on the plate 10 and by a retractable housing 53 and a compression spring 54 disposed on the finger 50 is interposed between a shoulder 50a formed on the finger 50 and the housing 53 so that to maintain the corresponding finger 50 in its locking position of the plate 10 in which the free end of the finger 50 is engaged in an orifice 35.
- the control member comprises a handle 51 for gripping the plate 10 and means for actuation, not shown, which can be arranged or not in the body of the handle 51.
- the actuating means are connected to each of the fingers 50 by a secondary cable 56, as shown in FIG. 2.
- Other finger movement control systems 50 may be provided, such as electromagnets controlled by a switch on or under the handle 51 or any other suitable system of known type.
- the rear part of the plate 10 cooperates with support elements 60 each formed by a vertical plate provided on each side wall 6 of the box 2.
- Each plate 60 has on its edge facing the front of the vehicle notches 61 which each of these correspond to a position of the plate 10. These notches 61 are offset towards the rear of the vehicle because of the inclination of the profiles 22 toward the rear of the vehicle so that the plate 10 during its upward movement becomes also shifts slightly towards the rear of the vehicle.
- each rack and pinion system and each carriage are concealed by a packing 65 in which is provided a slot 66 for the passage of the sleeve 32 in which slides the finger
- each pinion 25 which moves on the rack 21 corresponding.
- these spiral springs 40 help the rotation of each pinion 25 which facilitates the rise of the plate 10 for the user who does not feel the actual mass of the plate 10.
- Au during this climb the user releases the actuating means of the control member 51 so that under the effect of each compression spring 50, each finger 50 is automatically repositioned against the core 24 of the section 22.
- the user can determine when the height corresponds to a lockable position by the rattling generated when each finger 50 is relaxed in the orifice 35 which faces it.
- the chest 2 is thus divided into two separate compartments.
- the plate 10 can be moved in different positions so as to allow the user to change the volume of each compartment according to the loads or objects to be transported while still having the possibility of pivoting the plate 10 to facilitate the extraction of objects arranged below.
- each spiral spring 40 is always prestressed, the assistance provided by each of these springs 40 is also performed during the descent of the plate 10 which facilitates this descent.
- the plate 10 forming a false floor can be removed through the two housings 53 which are retractable. For this, it suffices for the user to simply unscrew a security screw ensuring the locking of each of the housings 53 and move them manually to pull each finger 50 of the carriage
- the plate 10 becomes autonomous and can removed without harming the mechanism, whether for repairs or for space saving.
- the assistance provided by each of the spiral springs 40 allows a user to be able to easily move the platform 10 forming false floor both upwards and downwards to choose a position of this false floor according to the objects to be placed in the chest.
- the necessary handling effort is constant and unctuous and the tray is easily manoeuvrable with one hand.
- the arrangement according to the invention therefore allows easy and easy movement of the false floor and provides easy access to the spare wheel placed below the floor, without having to leave the false floor of the motor vehicle.
