Description

电子节目指南、 流媒体调度及点播系统、 方法和装置 技术领域 本发明涉及流媒体服务领域, 更具体地说, 涉及一种电子节目指南 系统和方法、一种流媒体调度系统和方法、一种流媒体点播系统和方法, 以及一种电子节目指南服务器、 一种数字终端和一种访问调度器。 发明背景 流媒体业务具有流媒体文件边下载边播放的特点, 与单純的下载方 式相比, 不仅使启动延时大幅度地缩短, 而且对数字终端, 如机顶盒等 的緩存容量需求也大大降低。 而相对于传统的模拟电视, 流媒体系统大 大提高了多媒体播放的质量, 并可对特定人群提供专业化、 多样化、 对 象化的节目, 用户可以按照自己的喜好有选择的收看收听, 享受多种方 式的交互服务。
然而, 现有的流媒体点播系统, 如内容分发网络(Content Delivery Network, CDN )或流媒体服务系统中, 整个系统使用同一格式和解析 度的流媒体文件, 电子节目指南服务器只能向数字终端提供同一格式、 解析度和码率的流媒体文件的节目列表; 访问调度器也只能服务于支持 同一格式和解码能力的数字终端, 从而对支持同一格式、 解析度和码率 流媒体文件的流媒体服务器进行调度。 因此, 支持不同流媒体格式和解 码能力的数字终端不能混合组网; 另外, 现有的 CDN或流媒体服务系统 也不能支持不同格式、 不同解码能力的数字终端平滑升级。 发明内容

本发明提供的电子节目指南方法和系统中, 电子节目指南服务器 ( EPG )根据数字终端的能力参数, 获取与所述能力参数匹配的流媒体 节目列表, 并将所获取的流媒体节目列表下发给数字终端, 从而电子节 目指南服务器能够将数字终端支持的电子节目列表通过数字终端呈现 给用户, 供用户选择。
上述数字终端的能力参数可以是数字终端主动上报给电子节目指 南服务器的, 也可以是电子节目指南服务器向数字终端请求后获取的, 还可以是电子节目指南服务器查询在网络侧设置的数字终端能力数据 库获取的; 数字终端的能力参数可以是数字终端支持的流'媒体文件格 式, 也可以进一步包括支持的解析度和 /或码率等。 上述数字终端能力数 据库中存储的数字终端的能力参数 ,· 可以是数字终端直接上报的, 也可 以是电子节目指南服务器存储到其中的。
在电子节目指南服务器中可以设置流媒体节目数据库, 该流媒体节 目数据库中存储各个流媒体服务器上的流媒体文件的信息, 包括流媒体 文件的节目、 格式, 或进一步包括解析度和 /或码率等, 则电子节目指南 服务器根据数字终端的能力参数查询流媒体节目数据库, 获得与数字终 端支持的流媒体文件格式匹配的, 或进一步与数字终端支持的解析度和 /或码率匹配的流媒体节目列表, 并下发给数字终端。 所获取的流媒体节 目列表下发给数字终端后, 可以通过网页的形式显示给用户, 每个流媒 体文件可以是诸如网页上的超级链接 ( URL )形式。
这里, 以上述数字终端为机顶盒为例, 电子节目指南系统的具体实 施例如图 1所示, 包括电子指南服务器 11和机顶盒 12。 其中, 电子节目 指南服务器 11中包括流媒体节目数据库 112和节目查询模块 111; 机顶盒 12中包括能力上报模块 121和通信模块 122。
电子节目指南服务器 11用于根据机顶盒 12的能力参数, 获取与所述 能力参数匹配的流媒体节目列表, 并将所获取的流媒体节目列表下发给 机顶盒 12。
其中流媒体节目数据库 112用于存储与流媒体服务器中存储的流媒 体文件对应的流媒体节目, 和需要机顶盒支持的能力参数, 例如流媒体 文件格式, 或进一步包括的解析度和 /或码率等。
节目查询模块 111用于根据获取的机顶盒 12的能力参数查询流媒体 节目数据库 112, 获取所有与机顶盒 12的能力参数匹配的流媒体节目的 列表, 例如获取 MPEG-2格式的流媒体节目列表、 或 H.264格式流媒体节 目列表等, 并将获取的流媒体节目列表以网页或类似的形式发送到对应 的机顶盒 24, 以通过机顶盒 12显示到显示设备供用户选择。
这里, 节目查询模块 111可以通过获取机顶盒 12中能力上报模块 121 主动上报的能力参数获取机顶盒 12的能力参数; 也可以向机顶盒 12发送 查询请求, 并通过机顶盒 12中能力上报模块 121根据查询请求上报的能 力参数获取机顶盒 12的能力参数; 还可以通过查询系统中设置的机顶盒 能力数据库获取机顶盒 12的能力参数。
机顶盒 12用于向电子节目指南服务器 11上报自身的能力参数, 接收 来自电子节目指南服务器 11的流媒体节目列表, 并通过显示设备将流媒 体节目列表呈现给用户供用户选择。
机顶盒 12中的能力上报模块 121用于将机顶盒 12自身的能力参数, 如支持的流媒体文件格式, 或进一步包括的解析度和 /或码率等, 通过通 信模块 122上报给电子节目指南服务器 11 ; 能力上报模块 121可通过在通 信模块 122向电子指南服务器 11上报的播放请求中加入能力参数的方式 向电子节目指南服务器 11上报能力参数; 也可在通过通信模块 122接收 到电子节目指南服务器 11查询机顶盒 12能力参数的查询请求后, 通过通 信模块 122向电子节目指南服务器 11上报能力参数。
同样以上述数字终端为机顶盒为例, 电子节目指南方法的具体实施 例的流程如图 2所示, 包括如下步骤:
首先, 在步骤 20, 用户通过机顶盒访问电子节目指南服务器; 在步骤 21 , 电子节目指南服务器获取机顶盒的能力参数。
这里, 用户通过机顶盒访问电子节目指南服务器时, 可以在访问请 求中携带机顶盒的能力参数, 则电子节目指南服务器从该访问请求中获 取机顶盒的能力参数。
用户通过机顶盒访问电子节目指南服务器时, 也可以不在访问请求 中携带机顶盒的能力参数。 则本步骤中, 电子节目指南服务器可以在接 收到该访问请求后, 向机顶盒发送能力参数查询请求, 机顶盒根据该请 求将自身的能力参数通过能力参数查询响应上报给电子节目指南服务 器; 电子节目指南服务器也可以根据访问请求中机顶盒的标识信息先查 询数字终端能力数据库, 如果该数字终端能力数据库中包括了机顶盒的 能力参数, 则获取该能力参数, 如果数字终端能力数据库中不包括机顶 盒的能力参数, 则电子节目指南服务器再向机顶盒发送能力参数查询请 求, 并在获取机顶盒土报的能力参数后, 将该机顶盒的能力参数存储到 数字终端能力数据库中。 上述数字终端能力数据库可以设置在电子节目 指南服务器中, 也可以独立存在。
然后在步骤 22, 电子节目指南服务器根据机顶盒的能力参数查询流 媒体节目数据库, 获取与机顶盒能力参数匹配的流媒体节目列表。
流媒体节目数据库中存储了流媒体点播系统中各个流媒体服务器 中存储的流媒体节目和对应格式,或者进一步包括对应的解析度和 /或码 率等; 则电子节目指南服务器根据数字终端的能力参数, 查找匹配的流 媒体节目。 例如, 数字终端的能力参数为支持 H.264格式, 则电子节目 指南服务器查找流媒体节目数据, 获取其中所有格式为 H.264的流媒体 节目的列表; 数字终端的能力参数为支持 H.264格式, 解析度 1/2, 则电 子节目指南服务器查找流媒体节目数据, 获取其中所有格式为 H.264并 且解析度为 1/2的流媒体节目的列表。
在步骤 23, 电子节目指南服务器将获取的流媒体节目列表发送到机 顶盒, 通过机顶盒显示在电视机等显示设备上, 供用户点播。 显示的方 式可以是类似于网页的形式, 而流媒体节目则可以是诸如网页上的超级 链接 ( URL )形式。
在本发明提供的流媒体调度方法和系统中, 访问调度器根据数字终 端的能力参数和用户所选择的节目, 选择匹配的流媒体服务器为该数字 终端服务。
上述数字终端的能力参数可以是数字终端在向访问调度器发起调 度请求时主动上报给访问调度器的; 也可以是访问调度器在接收到来自 数字终端的不包括能力参数的调度请求后, 向数字终端请求获取的; 还 可以是访问调度器查询在网络侧设置的数字终端能力数据库获取的, 或 者在查询数字终端能力数据库失败后, 向数字终端请求获取的。 数字终 端能力数据库中存储的数字终端能力参数可以是数字终端直接上报的, 也可以是访问调度器, 或其他设备获取到数字终端的能力参数后存储到 其中的。 数字终端的能力参数可以是数字终端支持的流媒体文件格式, 也可以是除流媒体文件格式外还进一步包括数字终端支持的解析度和 / 或码率等。
这里, 以上述数字终端为机顶盒为例, 流媒体调度系统的具体实施 例如图 3所示, 包括访问调度器 31、 机顶盒 32和多个流媒体服务器 33。 其中, 访问调度器 31中包括终端能力查询模块 311和流媒体服务器能力、 健康、 负载、 临近度检测模块 312, 即流媒体服务器检测模块; 机顶盒 32中包括能力上报模块 321和通信模块 322; 多个流媒体服务器中可以包 括支持不同流媒体格式和解码能力的流媒体服务器, 例如可以包括 H.264 D1服务器、 H.264 1/2 D1服务器、 MPEG-2服务器、 MPEG-4服务 器、 AVS服务器、 高清服务器和标清服务器中的任意组合。
访问调度器 31用于根据机顶盒 32的能力参数和用户所选择的节目, 选择匹配的流媒体服务器为机顶盒 32服务。
其中,终端能力查询模块 311用于获取机顶盒 32上报的调度请求中的 机顶盒能力参数, 或向机顶盒 32发送能力参数查询请求获取机顶盒 32的 能力参数, 或查询数字终端能力数据库获取机顶盒 32的能力参数, 并将 获取的机顶盒能力参数上报给流媒体服务器能力、 健康、 负载、 临近度 检测模块 312;
流媒体服务器能力、 健康、 负载、 临近度检测模块 312用于根据机 顶盒 32的能力参数和机顶盒 32的位置, 以及流媒体服务器所支持的能力 参数和内容有无、 负载轻重等, 选择支持机顶盒的能力参数, 并且能够 提供最优服务的流媒体服务器, 将机顶盒 32的访问调度到所选择的流媒 体服务器上。
机顶盒 32用于向访问调度器 31上报自身的能力参数和用户所选择 的节目, 以及接收来自流媒体服务器的流媒体文件数据并通过显示设备 播放给用户。
机顶盒 32中的能力上报模块 321用于将机顶盒 32自身的能力参数, 如支持的流媒体文件格式, 或进一步包括的解析度和 /或码率等, 通过通 信模块 322上报给访问调度器 31; 该能力上报模块 321可通过在通信模块 322向访问调度器 31上报的调度请求中加入能力参数的方式向访问调度 器 31上报能力参数; 也可在通过通信模块 322接收到访问调度器 31查询 机顶盒 32能力参数的查询请求后, 通过通信模块 322向访问调度器 31上 报能力参数。
流媒体服务器 33用于根据访问调度器 31的调度向机顶盒 32提供流 媒体文件数据。
同样以上述数字终端为机顶盒为例, 流媒体调度方法的具体实施例 的流程如图 4所示, 包括如下步骤:
在步骤 41 , 机顶盒将用户从流媒体节目列表选择的流媒体节目发送 到访问调度器, 访问调度器根据机顶盒位置、 流媒体服务器支持的能力 参数和内容有无、 负载轻重等策略, 选择一个最优的流媒体服务器为机 顶盒提供服务。
这里, 机顶盒向访问调度器发送选择的流媒体节目时, 可以同时发 送该机顶盒的能力参数, 则访问调度器直接获取该机顶盒的能力参数; 机顶盒向访问调度器发送选择的流媒体节目时, 也可以不发送该机顶盒 的能力参数, 则访问调度器根据机顶盒的标识信息查询数字终端能力数 据库获取该机顶盒的能力参数, 或访问调度器向机顶盒发送能力参数查 询请求, 机顶盒接收到能力参数查询请求后通过能力参数查询响应将自 身的能力参数上报给访问调度器。 此后, 访问调度器根据该机顶盒的能 力参数、 选择的流媒体节目, 以及机顶盒位置、 流媒体服务器支持的机 顶盒能力参数、 流媒体服务器上节目内容的有无和负载轻重等策略选择 最优的流媒体服务器。
然后在步骤 42, 用户通过机顶盒对流媒体节目的访问被调度到步骤 41中所选择的流媒体服务器上, 该流媒体服务器向机顶盒发送对应的流 媒体文件数据为用户提供服务, 机顶盒播放对应的流媒体文件。
本发明提供的流媒体点播系统中, 包括上述电子节目指南系统和上 述流媒体调度系统。 以数字终端为机顶盒为例, 本发明提供的流媒体点 播系统的具体实施例结构如图 5所示。 该流媒体点播系统可以基于现有 的 CDN或流媒体服务系统实现, 包括分别连接到网络 51的电子节目指南 服务器 11、 访问调度器 31、 多个机顶盒 52和多个流媒体服务器等, 图 5 中以多个流媒体服务器中包括 MPEG-2服务器 331和 H.264服务器 332为 例, 则图 5中的多个机顶盒可以分别支持 MPEG-2格式或 H.264格式的流 媒体文件。 在该系统中的电子节目指南服务器 11、 访问调度器 31、 每一 机顶盒 52、每一流媒体服务器分别具有唯一的标识(例如 IP地址), 通过 该标识, 可实现流媒体服务器与机顶盒之间的流媒体传输。 上述网络 51为支持流媒体传输协议甚至是实时传输协议的网络, 例 如支持 RTP ( Real-Time Transport Protocol , 实时传输协议) 、 RTCP ( Real-time Transport Control Protocol, 实时传输控制协议) 、 RTSP ( Real-Time Streaming Protocol , 实时流协议 )等。
流媒体服务器用于存储和向机顶盒 52传送流媒体文件, 其中 MPEG- 2服务器 331用于存储和向机顶盒 52发送 MPEG-2格式的流媒体文 件。
各机顶盒可具有不同的能力参数, 分别可以播放来自流媒体服务器 的不同格式、 解析度或码率的流媒体文件, 如 MPEG-2格式或 H.264格式 的流媒体文件。 此外, 机顶盒还执行上述电子节目指南系统和流媒体调 度系统中所涉及到的与其他设备的交互, 这里不再赘述。 类似地, 电子 节目指南服务器和访问调度器的组成以及交互可参见上述两个系统中 的描述。
该流媒体点播系统中还可以进一步包括媒体分发器, 用于将不同格 式、 解析度或码率的流媒体分发的不同的流媒体服务器。
该流媒体点播系统中还可以进一步包括数字终端能力数据库 53, 用 于存储机顶盒 52的标识信息和机顶盒能力参数的对应关系。
上述以多个流媒体服务器中包括 MPEG-2服务器 331和 H.264服务器 332为例对本发明系统进行了说明。 本实施例中的多个流媒体服务器中, 如图 6所示, 也可以包括支持 H.264格式 D1解析度的 H.264 D1服务器 61、 以及支持 H.264格式 1/2 D1解析度的 H.264 1/2 D1服务器 62, 则本实施例 中的系统可实现支持 H.264 D1的机顶盒与支持 H.264 1、 2 D1的机顶盒混 合组网, 从而可实现在 H.264 1/2D1的基础上平滑升级到 H.264 D1 , 提高 了资源的利用率; 类似地也可以实现在 MPEG-2格式的基础上平滑升级 到 H.264格式。
上述多个流媒体服务器可以是: 支持 MPEG-4格式流媒体文件的 MPEG-4服务器、 支持 MPEG-2格式流媒体文件的 MPEG-2服务器、 支持 H.264格式流媒体文件的 H.264服务器、 支持 AVS格式流媒体文件的 AVS 服务器、 支持上述格式中的一种但支持的解码率为 Dl、 1/2 D1、 高清或 述各种解码率中的两个或更多个的服务器等, 则本实施例中的系统可实 现上述各种服务器中的两种或更多种的任意组合组网。
当然, 本实施例的多个流媒体服务器中还可以包括上述各种流媒体 服务器, 以及将来出现的其他流媒体文件格式的服务器, 除上述混合组 网形式以外的其他混合组网形式, 这里不再——列出。
以上通过具体实施例对本发明的流媒体点播系统进行了详细阐述。 下面再对本发明的流媒体点播方法进行详细阐述, 其具体实施例如图 7 所示, 其中各个步骤已经在上述电子节目指南方法和流媒体调度方法的 具体实施例中分别说明, 这里不再赘述。
当然, 在本发明的流媒体点播方法中, 在电子节目指南服务器向机 顶盒下发其支持格式的流媒体节目列表后, 访问调度器也可以不再获取 机顶盒的能力参数, 而直接根据机顶盒所上报的节目选择流媒体服务器 为该机顶盒服务。
现在以一个实例来说明上述流媒体点播方法, 假设机顶盒为支持 MPEG-2, 解析度为 1080P的流媒体。 首先, 电子节目指南服务器通过网 络获取机顶盒的能力参数, 即支持格式为 MPEG-2、 解析度为 1080P, 并 根据该机顶盒能力参数搜索流媒体节目数据库, 获取一个列表, 该列奉 中列出了所有格式为 MPEG-2、 解析度为 1080P的流媒体节目。 机顶盒在 该列表中选择一个流媒体文件后访问访问调度器, 访问调度器根据机顶 盒位置、 流媒体服务器支持的机顶盒能力参数和内容有无、 负载轻重等 策略, 选择一个最优的流媒体服务器, 例如 MPEG-2服务器为机顶盒提 供服务。
以上所述仅为本发明的较佳实施例而已, 并不用以限制本发明, 凡在本发明的精神和原则之内,所做的任何修改、等同替换、改进等, 均应包含在本发明的保护范围之内。

Claims

权利要求书
1、 一种电子节目指南方法, 其特征在于, 该方法包括:
电子节目指南服务器获取数字终端的能力参数, 并根据数字终端的 能力参数获取匹配的流媒体节目列表, 将所述获取的流媒体节目列表传 送到数字终端以供用户选择节目。
2、 根据权利要求 1 所述的电子节目指南方法, 其特征在于, 所述 电子节目指南服务器通过数字终端上报的能力参数或通过查询数字终 端能力数据库获取数字终端的能力参数。
3、 根据权利要求 1 所述的电子节目指南方法, 其特征在于, 所述 电子节目指南服务器中包括有与流媒体服务器中存储的流媒体文件对 应的流媒体节目数据库, 该流媒体节目数据库至少包含流媒体节目名 称、 ^及对应的数字终端的能力参数;
则所述电子节目指南服务器根据数字终端的能力参数查询所述流 媒体节目数据库获取所述流媒体节目列表。
4、 根据权利要求 1至 3 中任一项所述的电子节目指南方法, 其特 征在于, 所述数字终端的能力参数包括数字终端支持的流媒体格式、 解 析度、 最大码率中的一个或多个。
5、 一种流媒体调度方法, 其特征在于, 该方法包括:
访问调度器获取数字终端的能力参数, 并根据数字终端的能力参数 和用户所选择的节目, 选择匹配的流媒体服务器为该数字终端服务。
6、 根据权利要求 5 所述的流媒体调度方法, 其特征在于, 所述访 问调度器通过数字终端上报的能力参数或通过查询数字终端能力数据 库获取数字终端的能力参数。
7、 根据权利要求 5 所述的流媒体调度方法, 其特征在于, 所述数 字终端的能力参数包括数字终端支持的流媒体格式、 解析度、 最大码率 中的一个或多个。
8、 根据权利要求 5至 7中任一项所述的流媒体调度方法, 其特征 在于, 所述访问调度器进一步根据数字终端位置、 流媒体服务器负载轻 重选择匹配的流媒体服务器。
9、 一种流媒体点播方法, 其特征在于, 该方法包括:
数字终端访问电子节目指南服务器, 电子节目指南服务器获取数字 终端的能力参数, 并根据数字终端的能力参数获取匹配的流媒体节目列 表, 将所述获取的流媒体节目列表传送到数字终端以供用户选择节目; 用户选择节目后, 数字终端向访问调度器发起包括用户所选择节目 的调度请求;
访问调度器接收到调度请求后, 根据用户所选择的节目, 选择匹配 的流媒体服务器为该数字终端服务。
10、 根据权利要求 9所述的流媒体点播方法, 其特征在于, 所述电 子节目指南服务器通过数字终端上报的能力参数或通过查询数字终端 能力数据库获取数字终端的能力参数。
11、 根据权利要求 9所述的流媒体点播方法, 其特征在于, 所述访 问调度器接收到调度请求后进一步包括:
访问调度器获取所述数字终端的能力参数, 并根据获取的能力参数 选择匹配的流媒体服务器为该数字终端服务。
12、 根据权利要求 11 所述的流媒体点播方法, 其特征在于, 所述 访问调度器通过数字终端上报的能力参数或通过查询数字终端能力数 据库获取数字终端的能力参数。
13、 一种电子节目指南系统, 其特征在于, 该系统中包括: 电子节 目指南服务器和数字终端; 所述电子节目指南服务器用于根据数字终端的能力参数, 获取与所 述能力参数匹配的流媒体节目列表, 并将所获取的流媒体节目列表下发 给数字终端;
所述数字终端用于接收来自电子节目 旨南服务器的流媒体节目列 表, 并将流媒体节目列表呈现给用户。
14、 根据权利要求 13所述的电子节目指南系统, 其特征在于, 所述 系统中进一步包括: 数字终端能力数据库, 用于存储数字终端上报的能 力参数;
所述电子节目指南服务器进一步用于查询所述数字终端能力数据 库获取数字终端的能力参数。
15、 根据权利要求 13所述的电子节目指南系统, 其特征在于, 所述 数字终端还用于向电子节目指南服务器上报自身的能力参数。
16、一种流媒体调度系统, 其特征在于, 该系统包括: 访问调度器、 数字终端和流媒体服务器;
所述访问调度器用于获取所述数字终端的能力参数和用户所选择、 的节目, 根据获取的能力参数和用户所选择的节目, 选择匹配的流媒体 服务器, 并将数字终端的访问调度到所选择的流媒体服务器上;
数字终端用于向访问调度器上报用户所选择的节目, 以及根据访问 服务器的调度接收来自流媒体服务器的流媒体文件数据并通过显示设 备播放给用户。
17、 根据权利要求 16 所述的流媒体调度系统, 其特征在于, 所述 访问调度器根据所述数字终端上报的能力参数, 获取所述数字终端能力 参数; 或者所述访问调度器查询所述系统中进一步包括的数字终端能力 数据库, 获取所述数字终端的能力参数。
18、一种流媒体点播系统, 其特征在于, 包括电子节目指南服务器、

23、 一种电子节目指南服务器, 其特征在于, 包括流媒体节目数据 库和节目查询模块; 其中,
流媒体节目数据库用于存储与流媒体服务器中存储的流媒体文件 对应的流媒体节目和需要数字终端支持的能力参数;
节目查询模块, 用于获取数字终端的能力参数, 根据获取的能力参 数查询流媒体节目数据库, 获取与数字终端的能力参数匹配的流媒体节 目的列表, 并将获取的流媒体节目列表发送到对应的数字终端。
24、 根据权利要求 23 所述的电子节目指南服务器, 其特征在于, 所述节目查询模块通过数字终端主动上报的能力参数获取数字终端的 能力参数; 或者所述节目查询模块向数字终端发送查询请求获取数字终 端的能力参数; 或者所述节目查询模块查询数字终端能力数据库获取数 字终端的能力参数。
25、 一种数字终端, 其特征在于, 该数字终端包括能力上报模块和 通信模块; 其中,
所述能力上报模块将数字终端的能力参数, 通过通信模块上报给电 子节目指南服务器和 /或访问调度服务器。
26、 根据权利要求 25 所述的数字终端, 其特征在于, 所述的数字 终端为机顶盒。
27、 一种访问调度器, 其特征在于, 该访问调度器包括: 数字终端 能力查询模块和流媒体服务器检测模块; 其中,
数字终端能力查询模块用于获取数字终端的能力参数, 并将获取的 数字终端能力参数上报给流媒体服务器检测模块; 流媒体服务器检测模块用于所述能力参数选择流媒体服务器, 将数 字终端的访问调度到所选择的流媒体服务器上。
28、 根据权利要求 27所述的访问调度器, 其特征在于, 所述数字 终端能力查询模块通过数字终端上报的调度请求获取数字终端能力参 数; 或者所述数字终端能力查询模块向数字终端发送能力参数查询请求 获取数字终端的能力参数; 或者所述数字终端能力查询模块查询数字终 端能力数据库获取数字终端的能力参数。
