Definitions
- the invention relates to a field device for recording measured values and / or for issuing control commands with a control unit having a plurality of function keys and an electronic control unit which performs predetermined measuring, control and / or setting functions upon activation of individual function keys.
- field devices are commonly used in automated systems, such as power supply and distribution networks, water or gas distribution systems, chemical plants or industrial manufacturing facilities.
- field devices take mostly via connected sensor specific metrics and give their hand ⁇ control commands to the system off.
- field devices are also available that perform only one of the two functions mentioned above.
- such field devices include an electronic control ⁇ unit for processing the recorded measuring values and / or generating the control commands, while it are mostly controlled by a microprocessor processing units.
- such field devices usually have a front panel which has, for example, a display and an operating unit with a plurality of function keys.
- a field device is, for example, available as a digital machine protection device 7UM 511 from the Siemens device manual ,, 7UM 511, V2.3,
- Digital Machine Protection ", Order Number C53000-G1176-C79-6, Chapter 6 of the Equipment Manual, pages 71 to 74, discloses a field device with a control unit, which has a total of 28 keys, including numeric keys for entering the digits 0 to 9, control keys for navigation through a menu displayed on a display of the field device and special function keys, each of which has its own function assigned. So there is a "+/-" button, with which the sign of the displayed numerical value can be reversed. Furthermore, there is a positive confirmation key "Y / Y" ge with a request of the device with the answer "yes” ⁇ answers can be, as well as a negative confirmation key "N" with a request of the device with "No” can be answered. Furthermore, for example, there is a "CW” key which must be activated in order to enter a password (code ⁇ word) into the device.
- the known control unit occupies a comparatively large area of the front panel of the field device. Furthermore, since Feldge ⁇ councils of this kind in the future with more and more functions being ⁇ be equipped, should the number of available keys - and thus the occupied area - be further increased.
- the invention is based on the object, starting from a field device of the type mentioned above, to provide a field device in which the area requirement of the keys of an operating device is minimized.
- a generic field device in which the control unit has a radio ⁇ tionsumschalttaste at least, upon activation thereof, at least one of the function keys of an assumed measurement, control and / or setting function of a further measurement, control and / or adjustment function is switchable.
- the required area for the operating ⁇ unit on the front panel is particularly clearly reduced when Akti ⁇ vation of the function changeover key all other function ⁇ keys from an assumed measurement, control and / or adjustment function on a further measurement, control and / or on-position function are switchable.
- the required number of keys can be halved and even reduced to one third when two function change keys are provided.
- the provision of further function keys reduces the required number of keys accordingly.
- a further advantageous embodiment of the erfindungsge ⁇ MAESS field device further provides that a display is vorgese ⁇ hen, on which the respectively selected measurement, control and / or adjustment function of the function keys can be displayed.
- the operator is the Feldgerä ⁇ tes constantly, which function is selected the entspre ⁇ sponding function keys in the picture above.
- the electronic control unit has memory areas in which those measuring, control and / or setting functions are stored, to which the function keys can be toggled by activating the function switching key.
- the Be ⁇ ⁇ Function De can diener the field device by storing certain measurement, control and / or adjustment functions, at his discretion in the memory areas of the control unit in any interpretation of the keys to configure.
- a further advantageous embodiment of the erfindungsge ⁇ MAESSEN field device also provides that theforensicsstas ⁇ th and the function switching button are parts of a membrane keyboard. In this way, the function key and function ⁇ shift key can be performed comparatively inexpensive and with low installation depth.
- the ten function keys and one function changeover key are provided.
- the ten function keys can particularly advantageously constructed as numeric keys and a function changeover ⁇ key for switching the function assignment of the ten numeric keys may be provided.
- eleven function keys and one function changeover key are provided.
- another function key such as a function key for inputting a comma may be provided.
- the operating unit can also include direction control keys and at least one on / off key. These keys Kings ⁇ nen by the termsgnacsumschalttaste be switchable their function assignment.
