Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif conçu pour distribuer le carburant dans un écoulement transitoire d'un système de gaz d'échappement pour maîtriser les émissions de gaz d'échappement. Un régulateur amorce l'apport de carburant dans le gaz d'échappement lorsqu'un dispositif de commande des émissions, par exemple un filtre particulaire diesel, requiert des températures d'échappement accrues aux fins de régénération. En exploitation, le carburant sous pression et l'air sous pression alimentent un dispositif d'apport de carburant, dans lequel un injecteur de carburant prémélange le carburant et l'air. Le mélange carburant-air est ensuite distribué dans l'écoulement de gaz d'échappement par le biais d'une buse, ce qui entraîne une chute de pression rapide dans le mélange, le résultat étant une dilatation rapide de l'air sous pression, avec fragmentation du jet de carburant en fines particules.
