Abstract

The invention relates to a shower arrangement containing a long, flat profiled element to be vertically arranged, the plane rear side of said profiled element being embodied and defined in such a way as to be applied to a wall surface. A concealed fitting is arranged in the region of the rear side, said fitting engaging inside a concealed box in a recess in the wall surface. With the exception of operating elements and the shower attachment, there are no protruding parts on the front side of the profiled element, enabling the arrangement itself to have a flat structure. The space required for the sanitary fitting is provided behind the wall surface.

Description

Description shower arrangement

The invention is based on a shower arrangement in which an elongated profile is attached to a wall surface. The profile is used to accommodate water channels and to accommodate parts of the fitting.

In a known arrangement of this type (EP 422 972), the profile has a projection on its front side, so that a sanitary fitting can be accommodated within the profile. The remaining lines are housed within the profile. The profile is therefore intended for surface mounting.

It is also known to use a plate to cover a depression in a wall. Within the recess, i.e. Flush-mounted, the details of a sanitary fitting are housed.

The invention is based on the object of providing a shower arrangement which has a flat construction, so that the shower arrangement can also be used in confined spaces. In addition, the risk of injury to protruding parts of the shower arrangement is to be reduced. In addition, it should be possible to use a profile for the production of such shower arrangements, which can be easily cut to length for different lengths and sizes of arrangements.

To achieve this object, the invention proposes a shower arrangement with the features mentioned in claim 1. Developments of the invention are the subject of dependent claims. The invention thus uses a combination of a flat profile, which can have a substantially constant cross-section over its entire length, and a concealed fitting, which can be accommodated in a recess in the wall or in an opening in a rear-ventilated wall and forward through the profile is completely covered. This creates an elegant view of a shower arrangement without protruding parts, of course with the exception of the shower itself.

In particular, it can be provided in a development of the invention that the fitting can be fastened to the profile. Of course, it is also possible that the valve can also be attached and secured using the lines of the house installation.

In a further development of the invention, it can be provided that the shower arrangement has a flush-mounted box which protects and covers the fitting and the connecting parts from the outside and can additionally serve to prevent condensation or the like from seeping into the masonry.

The flush-mounted box is usually attached to the wall itself, for example on the side of the recess in which it is used. It is also possible that the flush-mounted box is attached to its bottom in the recess. According to the invention, it can now be provided that the flush-mounted box can be fastened additionally or only to the profile, or in other words, that the profile can be fastened to the flush-mounted box.

Of course, it is also possible that the fitting can be fastened both to the flush-mounted box and to the profile. According to the invention, it can be provided in a further development that the lateral extension of the concealed box and / or the concealed fitting is smaller than the width of the profile. This is to ensure that the profile covers the fitting or the body of the fitting so that it is not visible.

Since the profile has a certain thickness or height, namely to accommodate lines and the like, it can also be provided according to the invention that the concealed fitting extends somewhat into the interior of the profile. Plaster thickness compensation can be provided.

According to the invention, the shower arrangement can have a hand shower and a holder for this hand shower, the hand shower being connected via a hose. The water flow for this hose can take place within the profile through a channel formed there and / or through a hose laid in the profile.

It can be provided that the hydraulic connections between the profile and the fitting are designed as plug-in connections which engage with one another when the profile is mounted on the fitting.

As an alternative, the invention proposes to firmly connect the fitting to the profile and to provide a plug connection with the water supply lines in the wall.

This connection can then make the plaster thickness compensation and at the same time also be self-closing on the wall side. This leads to a particularly simple assembly. This also has great advantages for the installer when servicing. In the version in which the profile is fastened to the flush-mounted box or the fitting, a quick coupling can also be provided instead of the screw connection, for example a

Bayonet lock or a similar connection.

In any case, it can be provided to enable a possible angular offset between the parts fastened in the wall and the profile.

The profile or the shower arrangement can have at least one, preferably several, side showers. These side showers only protrude slightly beyond the surface of the profile, so that the space requirement still remains small. According to the invention, it can be provided that several side showers are supplied with water, optionally individually controlled by the fitting.

Figure 1 shows the shower arrangement according to the invention in a side view. The shower arrangement contains a flat profile 1 with a flat rear side 2. The front side 3 facing away from the rear side 2 can be slightly curved in cross section. The profile 1 is intended to be mounted so that its back 2 rests on the wall surface. The attachment can be done with conventional means. The elongated profile 1 is usually mounted in a vertical orientation. On the front 3 of the profile 1, a holder 4 for attaching a hand shower is arranged in the upper region. The holder 4 can be adjustable in the longitudinal direction, that is from top to bottom and vice versa.

Approximately in the central region of the longitudinal extent of the profile 1, that is to say approximately halfway up, adjusting and operating members 5, 6 for a sanitary fitting are arranged, which are arranged in the region of the rear side 2 of the profile 1. The sanitary fitting is surrounded by a concealed box 7, which surrounds it in a protective manner.

On the front 3 of the profile 1, individual side showers 8 are arranged in the lower and middle area, which can be controlled with the help of the control elements 5, 6. Figure 2 shows the shower arrangement from the front. The width of the profile 1 is selected so that the flush-mounted box 7 and the sanitary fitting contained in it cannot be seen even when not installed. The area in which the operating elements 5, 6 are present can have an additional rosette 9. At the lower end 10 of the profile 1, a connection 11 for a shower hose 12 is arranged, which can be controlled via the control elements 5, 6. At the end of the hose 12, a hand shower is connected, which can be hung in the holder 4 in the usual way.

The front of the profile 1 contains an undercut slot 13 approximately in the middle between its two longitudinal edges in the upper region, in which the holder 4 for the shower is slidably accommodated.

The side showers 8 are arranged laterally offset symmetrically to the center line.

The shower arrangement shown is mounted so that the flush-mounted box with the fitting contained therein is accommodated in a recess in a wall, so that the back 2 of the profile 1 rests on the wall surface. In this position, the arrangement is attached. The arrangement has the advantage that it is very flat. The thickness of the profile 1 is determined by the fact that lines and brackets must be accommodated in the profile.

Figure 3 now shows in an enlarged cross section the design of the profile 1. The profile has a flat back 2, see also Figure 1. The front 3 is also flat in the example shown. From a design point of view, it can also be slightly concave or convexly curved. Approximately in the middle between the two longitudinal edges, a channel 14 is formed on the back of the front wall 3, through the slot 13 already mentioned from the front is accessible from here. This slot 13 has a smaller width than the channel 14, so that the edges of the slot 13 are undercut on the inside. There, the holder 4 for the hand shower can grip by clamping. The channel 14 is continuous over the entire length of the profile. The slot 13 can be milled after the completion of a profile section. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the slot 13 is only present in the upper area of the profile. The channel 14 runs through the entire length.

The front 3 and the back 2 are connected to one another by two webs 15. The webs 15 are slightly bulged in order to accommodate lines there. The webs 15 also run continuously over the entire length of the profile. They divide the inside of the profile into three chambers.

At the rear of the front wall 3, further channels 16 are then formed in the two outer chambers, which are delimited by a slotted parallel wall 17. These flat channels 16 serve to accommodate the side showers, which will be described in the following.

FIG. 4 shows on an enlarged scale from the same direction as in FIG. 1 the location of the connection between the flush-mounted box 7 and the profile 1. In the flush-mounted box 7, a connection block 20, a basic fitting body 21 and two associated fitting elements 22, 23 are accommodated. One fitting element 22 can be, for example, a quantity regulation, while the other fitting element can be a switchover between different showers. These fitting elements 22, 23 protrude into the profile 1. In the area of the flush-mounted box 7, the rear wall 2 of the profile 1 is cut out, so that the fitting parts can have space here. The front wall 3 is also cut out, and a rosette can be put on here. The rosette is usually adapted to the fitting parts, so that the profile does not have to be specially designed for this purpose.

The flush-mounted box 7 has a bottom 24 and a side wall 25, on which a flange 26 is formed directed outwards. The flange 26 can be used to fasten the flush-mounting box 7 to the wall.

Figure 6 shows a section transverse to the direction of Figure 4. It can also be seen here that the rear wall 2 of the profile is cut open. The profile 1 is fastened to the flush-mounted box 7 in a lateral region 27 of the rear wall 2. A screw 28 is used for this purpose, which is inserted through a hole in the rear wall 2 and screwed into an opening 29 in the flush-mounted box 7. This opening 29, which is a relatively long hole, can have a thread. However, it is also possible for the screw 28 to cut its own thread. In this way, the profile is fixed to the flush-mounted box 7, which in turn is attached to the wall. In addition, an attachment between the base body 21 of the fitting and the profile 1 can of course also take place.

FIG. 6 shows the attachment of a side shower 8 to the profile 1. Where a side shower 8 is to be attached, a hole is drilled in the front 2 of the profile, specifically aligned with the slot 30 of the parallel wall 17. From the rear a counterpart 31 is inserted into the slot 30, see FIG. 7, which has an opening towards the front. The base body 32 of the side shower 8 is pushed into this opening and locked there. On the The base body 32 is located on the outside of the jet body 33, which has jet outlet openings on its front side. Due to the approximated spherical shape of the base body 31, the jet body 33 can be pivoted easily. The counterpart 31 of the side shower 8 has two side lugs 34, 35 which are connected to the through hole 36 of the base body 31 of the side shower 38. One side extension 35 is used to attach a hose. The other side extension 34 can either be used for a further hose, or can be closed off with a plug. In this way it is possible to connect several side showers 8 one behind the other, see FIG. 2, by means of a hose. Then all the side showers 8, for example in one row, can be controlled simultaneously by the sanitary fitting. It is also possible, depending on the type of switch used, to control all the side showers individually, or in groups.

In the embodiment, which is shown in a highly simplified manner in FIG. 8, the basic fitting element 20 to be connected to the house installation has open connections into which corresponding parts of the fitting 21 can be inserted or inserted. For the sake of simplicity, the seals, fastening devices or the like are omitted. With this type of training, a connection to the basic fitting element 20 and the house installation can of course also be made in a flush-mounted box. Then the unit consisting of the profile and the fitting attached to the profile is approximated to the wall and the recess of the wall and this unit is inserted and inserted into the assembled element 20. This simplifies and simplifies assembly. In addition, of course, this also has advantages if the valve is to be replaced.
